  • “If we’re going to really be present in this predicament, we’re going to have to befriend all of our emotions. So we teach some tools for how to do that. Being present with your body. How does the body fit in with all of this? Then, we teach some tools for how do we really see each other?” Carolyn Baker and Dean Spillane-Walker continue with specific tools and practices they’re offering as part of “Living Resilience.” Episode 332. I haven't been around for a while and have just watched parts 1 & 2 of this conversation. I downloaded Dean's book and will start reading it soon. I'm looking for local people to join with and partake of this action.

sometimes I feel that the community I live in is too wide for me and as a result I often feel very dissociated and overwhelmed. I often think about whether large communities are normal for everyone or if some people are more easily connected within smaller communities

Successful business is run by psychopathic minds- how are you going to develop that 'ping of conscience' about the destruction they are enabling (for profits) - in such empty hearts?

The first, and only lesson I try to pass on to my child, grandchildren is a loving respect for nature in all its awesome wonder. This was passed on to me by my grandmother/Oma who survived two world wars, the crushing pain of losing 4 of 5 children, and walked the earth every day -in joyful meditation and wonder of the beauty and peace she found in nature.
