Probably the best sales pitch for marijuana I've ever heard.
That girl, too 😄

All jokes aside, John C. Riley has a super amazing voice.
I had to look up who sang the song in this clip because they were AMAZING, and sure enough... it was John C. Reilly. Dude is unreal.
he was a musician before the movies
@@Xyz_ReportI think still is, he had a tiny desk concert that I enjoyed at least.
Walk Hard is still unintentionally the greatest music bio pic of all time. I’ve never seen a more perfectly structured deconstruction and parody of a genre. It literally hits ever beat that these movies always make without fail. Honestly seeing the trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody for the first time all I could think of was “this looks like Walk Hard but unironiclly lol.”
It's a parody of the genre AND a parody of the history of Rock'n'roll itself.
Any idea where I can see it?
@trippy cat looks hilarious but just never seen it’s showing anywhere
@@huxleyalman1723 I saw it on comedy central years ago.
But the remarkable USP for me is that the music is both original and good, in style and execution. If John C. Reilly was less of a face for comedy and more of a suave ladies' man, I have no doubt he could have made it as a professional singer.
John C Reilly is unironically one of the most diverse and underrated actors of his generation imo
"I don't think I'm your best friend in the whole world" kills me every time
Was in three BP nominees one year in the five nominees era - impressive!
@@jmnemonic99 lol love him in The Lobster
Ever see the movie The River Wild? Good movie
You're absolutely correct
Tim Meadows. Most underrated SNL alumni from the 90s.
he was brilliant in snl
He's one of the funniest of all-time. I like his show No Activity. You gotta see Ladies Man too.
Seriously. This guy is hysterical in everything hes in, its irritating.
His timing is impeccable in this, in his "trying to stop Dewey from doing grass" routine. The rushed "It's the cheapest drug there is," cracked me up, as did the "and you never once paid for drugs. Not once."
“ Lester im seriously will you quit it im tryna concentrate ova heere “ i cry laughing watching the ladies man
John C Reilly actually sang the songs in this movie, he is an amazing actor but his singing chops are incredible, he could really be a musician and make it big if he wanted to, mad respect for him and the cast, this movie is so underrated!!!.
He did the same with Chigago
He don't want it!
He also played the drums in Step Brothers. The man has a ton of talent.
Remember the time he sang and danced in Chicago? Also remember the time he played a Nascar driver in Talladega Nights?
Tim Meadows is so under-appreciated. He killed it in this movie.
he never once paid for drugs...not even once
He didn’t want no parts of that
“No Sam I can’t”
Holds head in shame lol
Wow John c Riley has a great singing voice
See wreck it ralph can sing
Nate DS he’s actually a pretty good musician. He did all the drumming parts himself in Step Brothers
Hes also in Chicago, he sings Mr.Cellophane
@@syvall that number was when I fell in love with John C. Reilly...well, and Dr. Steve Brule.
Hell yeah, that was actually the best song I've ever heard
And you never ever bought drugs not once ,😂🤣
NOT ONCE!
Yo, that's the best quote in the whole film.
not. even. once.
My late father and I quoted this scene alot.
he was pregnate? all jokes aside lol
But the real question is :
Did your father's belief in judaism restored??
This film is SO good, his singing and how funny the whole thing is.
I come back to it every few years and just love it...
I always said this film had the best comedic talent in every role. Seriously, glad its finally getting the cult respect it deserves..
I swear, Tim Meadows entire presence in this movie was gold
His deliverance on every line was perfect
The first instance of him never paying for drugs, not once.
I can’t tell if he’s a good friend or bad friend
A bit of both

The look on his face when he says "no sam, I can't." 😆
It's the counter points for me😅😅😅
"If I wasn't a married man with a good head on my shoulders, I don't know what I'd do!" 😂
You may accuse me of hyperbole, but John C Reilly's performance in this movie is one of the finest in any movie, ever made.
I know I’m explaining why the joke is funny but I just love how Dewey keeps saying the bad things that might happen and his mate is trying to keep him off it whilst unknowingly successfully selling him on it.
He’s the anti-Anslinger
@@BenHopkins1000 good reference
You don't need to repeat it, numb nuts. That's why it's funny, was the punchline, and we all know it. JFC, evolve.
not accurately though, weed leads to brain damage & emotional problems , their is a reason it's called 'DOPE' & not 'Nobel Prize'.
And of course, now, half the weed is loaded with fentanyl & kills at random...
@@sgt.thundercok4704 Are you still an angry little man or have you gotten better?
"it's not habbit forming" I guess someone forgot to tell that to every pothead I ever met.
Dude if you're looking for factual information in a comedy movie please don't breed.
If someone has a thumb sucking habit, that is super had to break from. Pot would fall under that definition of habit.
Pot is not like narcotics because if you stop using pot cold turkey, your body won't need it. You want it because it's a soothing habit. But if you stop taking narcotics cold turkey, your body develops fever, diarrhea, vomiting and other nasty reactions from the drugs leaving your system and more not coming in. That...and those you would REALLY need to soothe mentally. Who can think when you're in agonizing pain and hell.
Yeah, i'm a pothead and i ran out today. Be a couple days before i can afford more. But i'll be alright, not gonna go commit robbery or blow someone for more weed. I actually like clearing my fat head for a couple days anyway. 😄
2:05 - 2:40 part is one of the funniest bits of this movie. The acting and writing was perfect, if you aren't on the floor after that check with your doctor. 🤣🤣
somethin about the angle Meadows's head is turned every time they cut to him to deliver a severe, urgent message about how great weed is... just gets me. every time.
Mr. John C. Reily is a very underrated entertainer man.
“you can’t OD on it! “ haha 😂
At the age of a boy who chopped his brother in half somehow became the worlds best musician and singer
Wow, I had low expectations for that song, but I unironically enjoyed it.
The entire soundtrack for this movie is incredible
I love it. It is like a lost Roy Orbison session.
That’s the genius of this movie. The songs are just comedic enough to fit the tone of the movie, but just earnest enough to be enjoyed on their own, and John C. Reilly puts the same amount of effort into them as he did for “Mister Cellophane.”
This song sounds a lot like Roy Orbison's " In Dreams"
Good call
His Roy Orbison impression in this is spot on 👌
For sure! I didn't know that specific song, but John C. is seriously harnessing some Roy Orbison energy in this scene.
Are we not about how good of a singer he actually is
Tim Meadows is hilarious ..one of my favorites
this is a great movie for finding out which of your friends takes things too seriously lol. if they say they hate this movie because they love Johnny Cash, they are way too into their hero worship lol
Anyone else want a full version of this song besides me i love his voice
There’s a full version in the unrated cut
You can buy or stream the soundtrack
Wow, what a great 'Roy Orbison' tune!
One of the greatest scenes in movie history.
Don't forget "Uppers and downers" 😂 this is on my top 5 best comedy movies of all time
lol love how he sounds like some sort of drug warning ad narrator “get out of here! you don’t want it!”
How in the hell did Tim Meadows not win an Oscar for his once in a lifetime performance?
That was like singing, “there’s a hole in my bucket”
This is a PERFECT Musical Comedy masterpiece movie
I haven't seen this in a few years. I forgot how great John C Reily's vocals are. 😳
Me and the homies used to watch this all the time in high school, smoking blunts. Good times man
Very underrated movie for some completely unknown reasons
the way he exhales at 1:44 is hilarious to me
you’re smoking reefers. always gets me 🤣🤣
I’ll admit besides all the humor what not it’s really good to hear John C Reilly sing!
At least Sam trying to be a good friend in saving his life and career

that chick smoking the joint is really cute
Who the hell is that girl? She’s beautiful! I don’t smoke but I would love to smoke with her.
Agreed, Odette Yustman with that smile @ 2:44 is a hell of a drug
Came here to say the same thing. She's perfect
Ok,I love this scene and it's so funny but I ALWAYS take away how beautiful is the girl Tim Meadows was smoking with!
Funny enough thats how most of us started...err I mean thats what I heard yeah thats it what I heard 👀
I'll be honest , that song was my favorite in the movie.
His voice is criminally underrated!
The girl with the joint is Odette Annabelle. She was Nola Longshadow on “Banshee”.
The actress playing the stoner girl looks really familiar. Also this is a legitimately great song and surprisingly 'straight' unlike some of the other songs in the movie which have more jokey lyrics.
Odette Annable. She was in CLOVERFIELD, and on the shows HOUSE M.D. and SUPERGIRL.
solid roy orbison impression !
John C. Reilly has quite a lovely voice
I love this song so much
Best salesman ever 😂
I’m gonna end up with a blister on my thumb from rewinding “It’s the. Cheapest drug there is…”

Thank you for charging Jay Bones battery. Your pretty great!
I can't believe I am actually saying this but it would be cool if you guys uploaded some clips from the movie Aliens In The Attic (I can't help but kind of enjoy it despite it not being an entirely great movie). It's kind of hard to find any good quality scenes of it anywhere and the uploads from this channel tend to be very good quality. It would be nice to be able to watch the absurdities and pretty hilarious moments from the film in high definition.
Cody Ross I’ll definitely watch the grandma fight scene again
Bro this comment brings my visual memories of actually going to the theatre and watching it back then 😂
@@1994moviebuff A scene of true artistry.
@@radhojordan8254 The movie is so absurd and bizarre that even though I know it's not a particularly great movie I can't help but kind of love it.
This is exactly how all our first times went. All except the scared tone.
This is the same argument I have with myself on marijuana and if I should stop.
The bathroom scene is very nostalgic, ahh good time.
1:59. She asks me to join a party, I'm joining the party.
what a great movie
"You CAN'T OD on it!.. It's the Cheapest drug there is...."
I know the song was supposed to have a Roy Orbison vibe, but it reminds me of the Mavericks a lot.
