Hey Brooke, you made my day... Starting from zero, I got the feeling (supposed ) that I'm good now to play and sing !!! Waaah before I show it on video it's not gonna be tomorrow, but I'm having such a good time!!! Thanks to you!!
Hey thanks bro, but I’ve asked you before to please stop calling me “girl” 🙄 - I’m not “girl”, I’m a woman, I have a name, etc. please just address me as Brooke, thanks
Hi Brooke, because you're by far my favorite to learn any good tune... I'll be curious to see your vision & version of "All my lovin" Amy Winehouse cover and not the of the Beatles... I'm having hard time for the part from the refrain to the end...:) Thank you in advance!! And keep on doing it great as usual!! XXXXX kisses
This is so good, loving the chords and the variations. Brooke, how did you make the hurdle from separating the strumming and singing, i'm struggling with overcoming that, are there any tricks or tips with practicing that separation?
Thanks for watching, Cheryl! People ask about this all the time and my best advice is practice practice practice. Everyone struggles with strum and rhythm, especially when starting out - I think it took me like a year to get comfortable with very basic strumming! I didn't develop basic strum #2 until a few years in. Some people want to match the parts of the strum to the lyrics, but that's a really inefficient method - I always say get the strumming to the point where it's automatic/second nature and then it's easier to sing when playing. I actually now have full lessons for both strums in this lesson - I just added links to the description...
OMG ... sometimes I really cannot tell if I just love you or wanna be you 😂😂😍 (hope that doesn't sound as creepy as I'm just thinking it does *lol*) You really got my kind of music style and so far I love all your tutorials. Just, playing them as bad ass and easily looking in same time, like you do, needs way more practice, I'm afraid 😝 Keep up the Funk and the fun!! Thanks
Can I help clarify something? Which part is too fast? Some viewers like to slow down the video using the playback speed settings - check the lower right corner of the video, the settings wheel.

Thank you! I'm starting to feel like muscle memory is coming along with the strumming, but I will keep practicing. Awesome, I'll check those out. :)
Keep the faith!! 🙌
Try just one down strum with each cord change while singing. Once you have that you can add more strumming pattern. It helps me.
