Brian, you can add a lift arm stop pretty easily. I purchased a cam lever bolt with a nylock nut for the underside, actually works better than the knobs I think.

Well done, Brian. That's exactly how to use a box blade to move dirt. Next heavy rain you get will tell you of any low spots that might need work, but you have the bulk of the land graded to drain now. I think what you're referring to as a set-point on the 3-point lever is called a draft control. Most full-size tractors have draft control, so when you plow, you maintain consistent depths.

Brian, that stop would be fairly easy to fabricate.

Has anyone here bought and used the Summit BoxPlane combination implement? Was it worth the money as a good versatile tool? Or was it more like a cool idea that just doesn't work well in real life? I've seen Good Works Tractors promote it a while back as a new thing, but never really saw it in use after that.

Hey, great video but you were making me nervous so close to the edge of the pond with your loader up high. Even though you got a heavy box blade on the back cutting your center of gravity shifts when the bucket is up in the air. Drop that boom even if it means bumping the ground to tell where your at, then pop the joystick back quick will set the bucket three to four inches off the ground. That's right where you ought to be. I know you got the beetlejuice in the tires but turn sharp with even a empty bucket and drop a front tire in a hole, you whole day could change.
    Nice Machine, stay safe.

Just letting you know about the fel control handle, I replaced with the newer style very easy love it so much better. Have you needed to think about wheel spacers

Did you order the newer style handle from Summit? Haven’t really needed wheel spacers…. Just liked having them around the pond and some hills on the John Deere but don’t know if it would add anymore stability to the summit

Yes I did order it from summit just had to grind or file on the shaft just very little and cut the boot to fit to the other boot looks I think better than theirs because doesn't have that flat plate at bottom. I also added hydraulic multiplier

Curious as to how your John Deere 2025r pulled the 5-foot box blade. I have a 2025r and am getting ready to purchase a box blade. Oh and does that fake Heron keep the real ones away?

My 2025R did fine pulling the 5ft box blade. Just like my Summit the only thing it has trouble with is wet dirt when it starts getting full.
I had a heron getting some of my big bass so picked that up. I didn’t have any herons for the first 5 days but saw one yesterday. They say you need move it around to make it look like an active heron is around. Moved it yesterday so I’ll see if the heron comes back.

No one is trying to sell you on Summit tractors. I don't own a Summit but I watch videos of tractors working different implements doing a variety of jobs. Only an oxygen thief would made such crude, negative comments on an honest channel.
