I agree with you, Falcon. As a noob defiler user I can say defiler are OP, but only if their control is sublime. Unfortunately, the defiler is about as mobile as a quadriplegic. Very challenging to keep alive, let alone control.
I don't think dark swarm is overpowered, consume is what's outrageous. It ends up making DS and plague look too strong, but only because how they can be spammed repeatedly. If P and T could find a way to instantly replenish energy to spam storm/irradiate after they already used them once, they would look OP as well.
I feel like Guardians would work well on this map because they're is so much open real estate. That forces Terran into making into making Goliaths and Wraiths and Zerg LIKES that fight because now Queens make a lot of sense. Defilers don't seem like the answer here.
Crazy idea but I think it'd be fun to offer viewers the chance to co-cast a match with you for a $50 donation or something like that. Just thinking out loud😊
I really do think BCs would do better if they avoided the whole "let's send 2 BCs unsupported at a zerg base" thing. And yeah, usually glad when terran doesn't go BCs as a result of that stupid move.
Why do they use the weird assimilator zerg egg thing to block sections of the map... I thought there were actual gates they used for the campaign on the SC1 map thing that could serve the same exact purpose without looking silly lmao.
Dark swarm is 100% the most overpowered thing in the game nothing else is even close. However it needs to be otherwise Zerg would be slaughtered Dark swarm particularly combined with consume is a necessary evil I guess its the best they could do back then to balance the game but its not something that would ever exist in todays RTS games.
@@scarletmoon777 dark swarm is limited, too. Lings are not free, and defilers are as fragile as HTs. Plus HTs without energy can transform into one of the most powerful units in the game.
@@ObeliskM Lings are pretty much free by the late game and defilers have armour and can defend themselves with their own dark swarm compared to HTs that have to move forward enough to cast on center mass of the enemy formation. That being said Protoss have a whole different range of stuff to deal with defilers than T so there is that side of it.
And terran oneshots defilers with irradiates. Another very overpowered spell Lings are cheap but still not free. Minerals are not unlimited, plus they cost larvas. Not to mention that constantly producing and consuming them requires quite a bit apm. @@scarletmoon777
Zerg cannot be entirely defensive... There is the main mistake of this match for the zerg player. Gotta be insanely good to win being entirely defensive.
