  • Green Dino developed for robotTUNER an open system for assessing traffic behaviour, making it possible to objectify the operational design domain ODD and assess road users' performance in terms of reducing the risk of collisions.
    This system is called the Safety States Framework. The characteristic of the approach is that the system predicts, based on the current situation (state), which possible situations (states) may occur in the future. In doing so, the system considers the environment, the performance and historical skills of the road users, and environmental characteristics such as accident characteristics at certain intersections. The system assumes that a road user can appear anytime in cover situations.
    The development of the Safety States Framework is funded by the province of Groningen (@north). The SSF will be a shared source for road, air, water, rail and pipe. The SSF will also be suitable for use as an auto-pilot for autonomous transport.
