Your videos are so well researched and informative, it's always a delight to see a new upload. When I saw the title of this one, I wasn't really sure I could actually remember who Peggy Cummins was - even though her name was vaguely familiar. Then you mentioned "Night of the Demon" - one of my all-time favourite horror films - and the penny dropped. Now I'll have to go and seek out some of her other movies. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment ❤Peggy was amazing - she’s often on Talking Pictures x Gun Crazy is so brilliant - although in part because John Dall is magnificent too!!! But my favourite is Hell Drivers! Xxx
Brilliant Shar … I Done 50 years in the cinema industry and had the pleasure of Meeting her when she attended a reissue of Hell Drivers at the National Film theatre . Very nice Lady xx
@@eddiedeekes7827 Thank you so much for sharing that memory - I would have loved to have met her! I think from what I’ve read she really loved the later interest in her films - it must have been so nice for her to have that attention and to reminisce xxxx
I'd say Hell Drivers one of my top favourite films - Peggy was stunning in the film and the whole cast are absolutely magnificent - I have a major interest in Stanley Baker and Herbert Lom - well actually, to be fair - I love all the cast without exception I think - I'm also a huge fan of Vera Day - she is awesome!
What a great video about a lovely lady. I was at prep school in Horsham with her son, David Dunnett, in the 60s, and we regularly used to bring him to our home in Uckfield East Sussex, and Peggy would collect him for the onward journey further East when we were allowed home for the day. I think my Dad was very happy to be of assistance! I must find out more about her films after seeing your efforts; many thanks.
Thank you for sharing such a lovely memory! How wonderful that you had a personal connection to David Dunnett during your prep school days in Horsham. It must have been quite an experience having Peggy pick him up from your home, adding a touch of glamour to your day! I'm thrilled that the video has sparked your interest in her films. There's so much more to explore about her fascinating life and career. Many thanks for watching and sharing your story! xxxx
She was! It's one of my most favourite films (although I do have a lot of favourites!) Peggy was wonderful in the film but I also loved John Dall - he was magnificent! xx
"A Life Well Lived" May that be said of us as the pinnacle of our time in this life. Thank you for your Beautiful presentation and as always your loving floral tribute.
Thank you for yet another of your own classic productions. Night of the Demon has become a cult classic. Peggy Cummins plays, very convincingly, a beautiful, intelligent and confident young teacher. I love the film.
Hi again, I can not begin to imagine how long it took you to find out about Peggy. Thank you for an interesting story of another great actress. After seeing your video, I sat down and watched - in the dog house 1961, great memories, once again thank you 🌺🌺👍👍
Thank you so much for your lovely comment and I’m so thrilled you watched In the Dog House because of it! That literally makes my day! I love Peggy’s films - they just transport me to another place - I thoroughly enjoy them ❤
Hell drivers is one of my favourite British films of all time. This is a wonderful and inspirational mini documentary. What an interesting person Peggy Cummins was! Thank you so much.
Thank you so much! I am completely with you regarding Hell Drivers! I absolutely love that film! ❤ Peggy was such a great actress and she put so much of her life into helping others - she truly should be remembered ❤
Hell Drivers had such an incredible array of actors. Where else could you see Peggy Cummins, Jill Ireland, Stanley Baker, Herbert Lom, Patrick McGoohan, William Hartnell, Wilfred Lawson, Sid James, Alfie Bass, Gordon Jackson, David McCallum and Sean Connery.
I absolutely agree! Herbert Lom is a real favourite of mine! I’ll be watching him tonight in 1958s Passport to Shame alongside Brenda de Banzie and Diana Dors ❤️
Again. Wonderful informative and moving. So lovely to see these stars and sometimes under appreciated talents given a respectful tribute. Your enthusiasm and affection for these terrific personalities is infectious. UA-cam heaven! Thanks again Shar. X
Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate your support. It's true, I’ve not posted much lately due to a challenging year, but I’m hoping that will change in 2025. There are so many incredible people I’m excited to talk about, celebrating their amazing lives and the gifts of talent they’ve shared with us. So please do stay tuned-I’ve got plenty more to share! xx
Thank you so much! Watch Gum Crazy you’ll love it! Although talking of love ❤ I am completely head over heels for John Dall - even though I wouldn’t have suited him 🤭 he was so handsome 😍
I have never heard of her. But like many you cover. I love that era. They were the glory days of Hollywood. I usually go away and watch a film or two of the deceased star after I have seen your video's. They are always well presented and researched. You never sound like you are reading from Wiki, which some other channels do. Oh to be able to go back in time for a day. Thanks again.
Thank you so very much Peter! I never use Wiki - it’s not always accurate - and I love the research - especially when I uncover things that I didn’t know!!! I feel the same - it’s such fun stepping back in time - it’s why I enjoy making these videos - it’s like time travel 🤭❤
Good Morning, Peggy Cummins an actor I only knew from her comedy movies. Before this vlog I didn't realise her input of "darker rolls " That said two films Hell Drivers,a gritty, well cast film. The other is Night of the Demon. At 69yrs old,and having watched it many times,The walk through the woods still gives me chills. She also appeared in a " Not carry on,carry on film" .Carry on Admiral. Confusing 😮 Many thanks for the warm glow I get after watching your vlogs ❤
Hi Allan! Yes!!! The Carry on not a carry on 🤭 Night of the Demon and Hell Drivers are both amazing films - as is Gun Crazy - I really love Peggy’s earlier work too - how I would have loved to have seen her on the stage! Thank you so much for your lovely comment and for watching - the support is most appreciated always! Xxxx
To me Peggy Cummings was was a beautiful actress and a superb actress worth her place in holly wood such a travesty that someone deemed she wasn’t worthy! To many of you was worthy. Another well researched video well done.
Great video, my two favorite movies, night of the demon and hell drivers . The beautiful Peggy was so special. Thank you for you're awesome presentation as usual lovely lady x
I knew her from "Night of the Demon", one of my favorite Halloween movies. We watch it every year as a tradition. The same film introduced me to Niall McGinnis, another favorite actor. It's a fun film. Peggy looked like an angel. She came across as such a proper lady I'll need to check out "Gun Crazy" to see her dark side.
Fabulous, another cracking feature Shar. What a cutie she was, beautiful inside and out, with ability and charisma.XX It's great to see these happier cases.
Thank you so much! I try to keep a balance - it's not always easy! Peggy is one of my absolute favourites - have you seen Gun Crazy? She is marvellous in it! xxx
I feel quite embarrassed. I can’t say that I even recall her as an actress. 😊 so your video is an excellent eye opener. I’m a taphophile but it’s so interesting how little gravestones tell of the souls that lay beneath our feet. Unlike a lot of “famous people resting places videos” I love the fact you always leave flowers. Beautiful
Thank you so much!!! Don’t feel embarrassed! It actually makes me happy when I introduce people I’ve always loved to people that didn’t know about them! I hope you’re able to catch one of her films - I don’t think you’d be disappointed! I love walking around reading the stones and it’s always lovely when there is a little more about the person than usual! Thank you so much also, regarding the flowers - I wouldn’t dream of visiting without taking flowers - it wouldn’t feel right xxxx
I live in France and many gravestones show photos and a snapshot of the person ie War medals, or passions/hobbies. My village cemetery is absolutely fascinating. I see it as a celebration of life.
@@Pdjohnners oh I could walk around there for hours!!! I love that they celebrate their loved ones lives in such a way! I have been to some places that have magnificent monuments and stories - but many now have strict rules about the size stone, shape etc and what relatives/friends are allowed to leave st the grave - they want everything uniform - that makes me sad x
Oh wow did you see the butterfly fly past just as you laid those flowers down - things like that always make me wonder - a very nice video about a lovely lady
Just watched The Peggy video again . First class . Can’t wait for the next video . Wonder who it will be . I remember asking Peggy about Making Night Of The Demon xx
What an absolutely beautiful video. The photo of Dublin in the 1920s was a lovely surprise for me, as I am a tram driver there now, and pass that spot many times daily. The beautiful roses for Peggy ❤
Thanks so much for the upload on Peggy Cummins, as been stated was the love interest in Hell Drivers which is a great classic British film full off acting greats but she was lovely in the comedy films as well a sweet charming lady sadly missed.
What a lovely video Thank you 👏 I love Peggy Cummins she had such a natural beauty and good actress. My favourite is Night of the demon . I was lucky enough to see her at a showing of this film at the British Library where some of the film was shot around 2014 she gave a lovely speech about the film . It was very atmospheric seeing it at the library for its time it still is a scary film . May she rest in peace 🥰
Oh wow!!! I would have loved to have been there! What an event that must have been! I’ve watched the videos of her attending events like that - she seemed just the absolutely sweetest person ❤ Thank you so much for your lovely comment and for watching the video ❤❤❤❤
Aah, that was another wonderfully well-done and fascinating video, 🤩😘 thanks Shar ! And I agree with all the great comments you get from other viewers.
Night of The Demon aka Curse of The Demon is a funny thing. There are 2 UK versions and a US version. The US version had additional dialogue recorded to replace common British words and phrases with ones more commonly used in the US. The US version had a big rubber demon added, as the original British version had a fully invisible demon, which left everything to the imagination of the viewer, but because American distributors and moneymen thought that American audiences wouldn't take to well to having to use their own imaginations, a rubber demon was made. The rubber demon scenes were added to the UK re-release version of the film. The original UK version with invisible demon is now incredibly rare.
Hi shar great video I saw her in a couple of the films you mentioned didn't matter that I didn't know her very well as an actress but still don't matter who you do there still worth watching looking forward to the next one take care xx
Many thanks Shar, I had trouble placing Peggy Cummins as I didn't recognise the name but she was familiar to me and sure enough I remembered her from 'Night Of The Demon' and of course 'Hell Drivers', very pretty lady and lovely that you have brought her to the fore again. Many thanks.😘
Thank you so much and thank you for watching! Yes!!! It’s an absolutely stunning place - the scenery was so beautiful and it was very tranquil - I’ve been there previously on a very windy cloudy day and the atmosphere was so amazing ❤️
I had never heard of Peggy before. This story is beautiful, as was she. Peggy Cummings isn't the most, ah, poster-friendly gorgeous bombshell name, though. I wonder if that ever hindered her? Thank you for another work of art, Shar. Beyond lovely. x
Recently found your channel with its interesting stories and this one no exception. Though visiting family members in Bexhill, East Sussex for many years , I hadn't realised that further along the sea front and a bit off it, is where Peggy C once lived. Always enjoyed her in Hell Drivers and when we see her apparently typing out the truck load sheets for the week, worth freezing it to read the names being typed. I did a few location videos of it on my channel and driving the route of the opening from Langley to Iver is by far the most popular of them. Paul.
Thank you so much for for your kind words about my channel Paul! It's wonderful that you've enjoyed Peggy's performances, particularly in "Hell Drivers." Your location videos sound intriguing, I'm rather a 'location tourist' myself! I love finding places that have a connection to people I'm interested in - some years back I did as many of the locations as possible for Marilyn Monroe in New York - and I've done the same with Marilyn in Hollywood - and of course Diana Dors - in the UK - I thoroughly enjoy it! xxxx
@@BeautifulBadandBizarreinteresting your mention of Marilyn Monroe. August 1962 we were on vacation in LA staying in a motel. The morning after we'd arrived it was all over the news--MM being found dead at her home. What I hadn't known was we were about 10 mins drive from her home. Down in Palm Springs is the Monkey Tree Hotel. It was originally an enclosed private house named Monkey Tree. It was there that MM and JFK were enjoying each others company that I'm sure very few had any idea what was going on there.
Thank you Shar. Yet another wonderfully sympathetic yet insightful look at a famous face of yesteryear. I note that the last film in which she appeared, In The Doghouse, was screen written by Michael Pertwee, brother of Jon, whose life you’ve covered. As always, thank you so much.
My pleasure Mark! Thank you for watching ❤ and do you know I didn’t even realise Michael Pertwee was the screen writer of In the Dog House!!! I’ve seen it so many times too 🤭 thank you!!! ❤
Great to see you again shar always look forward to your videos they are so infomative and interesting. Bit before my time but i do remember her in some of the early films including the Horrers. Talented girl, what a shame it didnt take off in the states. sounds like Otto didnt like the brits. Look forward to the next one Diana clone X 😀
Thank you so much James! Oh Otto was not the sort of Director many actresses were thrilled about - Marilyn Monroe clashed with him when she was making River of no Return! ❤
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre Yes ! if you watched the documentry, hollywood warts and all, reading between the lines it was easy to see why. Marilyn warned a lot of up and coming talented Actresses what was expected of them and if they didnt comply the runs on there career ladder were swiftly taken away. 😙
Marilyn was much more savvy than people gave her credit for - and she knew how to work the system in the day! I’ve studied her in depth for most of my life! Xxxx
You also mention another one of your favourites, Miss Jacqueline Jones. Well, if you haven't already, you can find her in a classic "B" movie called "Pit Of Darkness" from 1961 starring William Franklyn and Moira Redmond.
Now that's one of the films I feel I may have seen, it rings a bell but I'm not sure - I shall look that up! I think Tony Booth might be in it? I'm definitely going to check that one out - Jacqueline is very underrated - she's such a great actress - I especially loved her performances in the Edgar Wallace Mystery series - such a beauty too! Another actress that I fell head over heels in love with some years back - Patricia Dainton who sadly passed away in 2023 - what a truly exceptional actress - she gave up acting to raise her family - which was brilliant for her family but what a loss to acting! I love her work!
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre Hello. Yes, you are indeed correct. Tony "Randy Scouse Git" Booth is in it, along with Nanette Newman. There is a song in the film called "My Heart Is The Lover." Now, I've heard of "overplaying," but really...Once you watch the film, the ruddy tune will be stuck in your head. LOL. It also has a very early appearance of The Dave Clark Five, as the band in the nightclub.
I have to admit she was not an actress I was aware of. Thank you for that interesting profile Shar, I will have to look up Gun Crazy, I can't recall seeing it. Best wishes to you from Wales.💐
Hi Paul - please do watch Gun Crazy! It’s such a good film- if you do watch it I’d love to know what you think! Thank you so much for your comment and for watching - it’s always most appreciated! Xxx
Well researched uploads - NIGHT OF THE DEMN is my al time favourite film so enjoyed this - keep up the good work. Patricia Quinn, Celia Gregory, Fenella fielding?
Oh my goodness those names bring back memories - Patricia Quinn, Celia Gregory and of course Fenella Fielding they were all amazing! Peggy was so good in Night of the Demon - Thank you so much for your comment and for watching!
What a wonderful story although I had heard of Peggy Cummins I don't remember her although I feel I do now. Thank you for remembering this lady she deserves it. Well done as usual your video is brilliant! 💕
Thank you, I can’t say I’m familiar with Peggy’s work but you go into so much depth in your videos, it feels as if I know her now. Beautiful roses at the end 💐
Thank you so much for your lovely comment and for watching the video! I adore Peggy and am so pleased that people are interested in her - she was brilliant xxxx
Every part of this lovely presentation is absolutely tops. So loving and informative. I have always been charmed by Peggy. Her talent, looks and that very special voice. Thank you so much. Blessings to you. Love from San Diego, California
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! It’s truly appreciated and a massive thank you for watching too! ❤ I have to say I have California dreams! So many happy memories of visiting there - a beautiful part of the world! ❤❤❤
That was really interesting and informative - thank you and well done again Shar! I spent the first few minutes thinking how strongly she resembled Veronica Lake without even knowing that she replaced her in 'Gun Crazy'. Peggy in my opinion had almost as much charisma and was undoubtedly a far better actress, but often in the film industry, unfortunately it boils down to what parties you attend and what, if any, movie mogul accompanies you afterwards. Perhaps she went out to Hollywood slightly too early in her career, but for me the femme fatale type of role suited her style perfectly and there weren't many chances of that in the British film industry. I'm glad she was able to prove that there is life after an acting career and because she's exactly my kind of actress I'm grateful for what we got from her.
My pleasure Michael! Thank you as always for such a lovely, interesting and thoughtful comment! Peggy certainly did resemble Veronica Lake at that time - I think Lake had a harder edge to her - she was a pint sized stick of dynamite in personality - whereas I think Peggy was much more laid back - maybe not the right words - but she always seemed quite relaxed and comfortable/natural in the roles she played. I said in a reply to a previous comment (and I think you’ve touched upon the answer here) I have always found it fascinating how two people with equal talent do not have equal fame or longevity - in fact many times the person who fades away has more acting ability/skill etc than the person that hits the big time and holds their place long after they’ve passed away! Hollywood was often the prize for British performers but Diana Dors said - when she got there and was sitting by her floodlit pool, with her big house and cream telephone - it was a hollow victory - she felt quite empty as she asked herself ‘now what’ for Diana it didn’t meet her expectations and I guess the same held true for Peggy xxxx
Thank you shar I haven't heard of this actress but with your very informative video I have learnt a lot of remarkable information about this actress and it seems she was a remarkable person and actress Thank you Shar ❤
Thank you so much for watching! Being a bit of a vintage film nut 🤭 I’ve seen most of Peggy’s films and she’s been on my radar for longer than I can remember - I’m so thrilled to have introduced her to you! She was superb! ❤️
Thank you so much for this video. I found the DVD of Gun Crazy in a charity shop a few weeks ago and was amazed at how good it is, especially Peggy Cummins' performance. The character Annie Laurie Starr is completely amoral and very scary, which just proves what a great actress she was, since your video shows that she was nothing like that in real life. By the way, you mentioned that Peggy appeared on stage with Irene Handl. Would you consider making one of your lovely informative videos about Irene Handl, who I think was one of the funniest women ever to appear on British TV?
My pleasure - thank you so much for your comment and for watching!!! I think Gun Crazy is one of those films you can repeat watch and never get bored! That was a lucky find!!! Regarding Irene Handl - I loved her from the absolute earliest age - so early I can’t even remember a time I wasn’t aware of her! You can be totally assured she’s on my list - I have some wonderful stories about her personality that I can’t wait to tell 🤭 xxxx
She must have had a flair for comedy if she played the role of Fuffy Adams in Junior Miss, that movie was one of my childhood favorites with Barbara Whiting playing the Fuffy role in the Hollywood movie. Regarding Cary Grant and Howard Hughes, I guess she took those answers to her grave. I will say that Derek Dunnett does bear a resemblance to Howard Hughes: both tall, dark, handsome businessmen. HH was a notorious love-'em-and-leave 'em type and there was nobody in Hollywood (or the nation!) who didn't know that, so given Peggy's family orientation it seems unlikely she would have wanted to become involved with someone so inconstant. She also doesn't seem to be HH's 'type' (Ava Gardner, Yvonne DeCarlo, Rita Hayworth, Gene Tierney and yes, Linda Darnell! to name just a few). Peggy and Derek looked beautiful on their wedding day!
Oh yes!!!! Re Derek - he was very handsome I agree! I’d also agree with you about carry Grant and Howard Hughes - you’ve actually summed up my thoughts perfectly! Regarding Junior Miss - I’ve seen the majority of the films that Peggy appeared in but I wasn’t familiar with the stage play or the movie to be honest! I want to see it now though!!! Thank you so much for your comment and for watching the video - it’s greatly appreciated xxxx
Thank you so very much! Yes Peggy was wonderful - please let me know what you think if you watch any if her movies - I’ve seen most of them and I’ve enjoyed every one that I’ve watched ❤️❤️❤️
Peggy truly was wonderful - I’ve been a fan for such a long time! ❤ thank you so much for your lovely comment - I’m so happy that you have enjoyed the videos - thank you for watching ❤
Another interesting and educational video about a star I wasn't too familiar with. I think Hell Drivers is the only one of her movies I really knew about. From your video I'm guessing if her acting career had lasted longer she would probably have been more of a known name. I feel her life would have turned out very differently if that first 'big' Hollywood film had retained her. I can understand why a new more conservative producer might have got cold feet about her lack of experience. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of sexism involved too. It doesn't help that there is often a prejudice from film makers towards former child actor's wholesome image when they want to take on adult roles. It doesn't seem to be as bad for more recent generations. It was good that she got some of the recognition she deserved later in life.
Thank you so much!!! I absolutely adore Hell Drivers! I’ve seen most of Peggy’s movies - they really are worth a watch - I do think had she not had that experience in Hollywood she may have stayed around in film a little longer - she certainly wasn’t short on talent! And yes! I agree with you - I’m pretty sure she dealt with sexism - although of course she wasn’t the only casualty of Amber - but I’m guessing she was the only one that was told she wasn’t sexy enough!!! Although it reminds me a little of Sir Laurence Olivier telling Marilyn to just be sexy in the film The Prince and the Showgirl - Marilyn was massively offended by him 🤭 Thank you for watching! ❤
Hi, Shar . Another very interesting video , I always look forward to them , your research and presentation are impeccable . I must agree with you , Hell Drivers is a superb film , a fine cast including a young ,Sid James . ( I have watched it many times ) , Another favourite actor of mine that you mentioned , was ,Edward G. Robinson , oh , and of course , Vincent Price ( Do you remember when he advertised , Epicure pickled onions , the first pickle to bite back . lol . ) The only other time that I have heard the name , Cummins , is that of a company who manufacture Diesel engines , there may be a tenuous link , but I couldn't find one . Thanks again , Shar . Rest easy , Peggy . ua-cam.com/video/s5JVbR_COJc/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for your comment! I really appreciate your kind words! Oh yes!!!! Hell Drivers is absolutely superb! There's a young Sean Connery - but my main favourites other than Peggy are Stanley Baker and Herbert Lom (he is in Passport to Shame which l've seen a billion times and will be watching again later tonight!) The Vincent Price pickles ad - YES!!! I remember it the first time around 😂😂😂 xxxx
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre Dog House looks like a fun film , maybe in the ,Carry on style . I shall seek out this one and ,Gun Crazy . By the way , compliments due where compliments are due . Keep up your fine work ,Shar . Looking forward to your next video .
I love that outfit women wore at the time, of the pencil skirt, turtleneck jumper and beret. I wonder if women then actually wore that or is it just a "bad girl" movie look of the era?
Yes they did wear that look in the forties and fifties - actually I remember wearing it too in the eighties! It’s such a gorgeous look and Peggy wore it so well! ❤❤❤
I think when you’re as crazy about vintage film as I am you know some very obscure actors and actresses - who were never really given the platform they deserved - I’ve spent a lot of hours trying to analyse why one persons acting didn’t have the same longevity as another’s of equal talent! It fascinates me - thank you so much for your comment and for watching - it’s very appreciated ❤❤❤
Oh it’s on my list!!! There is one person in particular that is someone I’ve wanted to visit for a long time! So I’m looking forward to taking flowers there 💐❤️
Hell Drivers will long remain one of the best B/W films of all time, as far as I'm concerned. It had a unique kind of action that set it apart from all other films past and present. With deep undertones of racial tension. and bigotry. And a mothers hatred for her older son, because he caused the younger sibling to be crippled in a moment of recklessness.
A pretty girl if not a sexy girl! Knew nothing of this lady’s personal background but alas a connection to Kerry Ireland a place I know fairly well. Very recently TP screened Night of the Demon where she starred with Dana Andrew’s and I watched it because for its time it was a well made film. She seemed like a very nice lady who made the best of the opportunities that life presented to her - I think in her younger years I would have given Peggy Cummins a second look if I passed her in the street….that’s men for you!
😂😂😂 Thank you Peter - you’ve made me laugh! And I can tell you - I’ve had one of those days - so that’s proper cheered me up 🤭 I can only imagine how it must have knocked her confidence to be told she wasn’t sexy enough! I know it would have stayed with her because she mentioned it a lot in interviews - I thought she had most sex appeal in Hell Drivers! Thank you again!!! ❤
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre I have not watched Hell Drivers for a while which also featured the soon to be James Bond whose appearance and demeanour was considerably upscaled by the time he (Sean Connery) got to that part - But I will pay particular attention to Peggy’s role next time I watch Hell Drivers…..and am glad I made you laugh.

So please do stay tuned-I’ve got plenty more to share! xx
What an amazing vid. Ive seen her in Night Of The Demon and she was a great actress but I didnt know much about her, until now! She was stunning x
Thank you so much! Watch Gum Crazy you’ll love it! Although talking of love ❤ I am completely head over heels for John Dall - even though I wouldn’t have suited him
🤭 he was so handsome 😍
I agree Peter! She was beautiful and talented - and she definitely deserved her place in Hollywood! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you Peggy Cummins was a lovely person I always watch the films she starred in she always played good parts the video was lovely 🌹❤️
Thank you so much Elizabeth ❤ I agree Peggy played some brilliant parts - she was very talented ❤
Thanks. Very nice touching tribute.
Thank you very much! ❤
I always remember Peggy in Night of the Demon. Thanks for your video on her life and ceareer.
My pleasure! Thank you so much for watching! Xxxx
Thanks Shar for a very informative upload and I enjoyed it very much
My pleasure! I’m glad you enjoyed it - thank you so much for watching ❤❤❤
Great video, my two favorite movies, night of the demon and hell drivers . The beautiful Peggy was so special. Thank you for you're awesome presentation as usual lovely lady x
Glad you enjoyed it David! Thank you so much for watching ❤ Those two films are truly awesome! Peggy was magnificent in both of them ❤❤❤
How's the butterfly 🦋 💕 great video
Flying free and happy I hope 😍🦋 xxxx thank you so much!
Ohhhh! Definitely watch Gun Crazy if you can - she was superb in that film! Thank you for your comment and for watching - it's very appreciated xx
She is marvellous in it! xxx
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre I haven't see Gun Crazy yet, but I'll be sure to check it out, then let you know. XX
I did! What a magical moment it was 🦋 thank you so much for your lovely comment and for watching! ❤️
I think she was an absolute stunner 😮😊 so glad i came across this channel, it's right up my street 🙌 😀 👏
Just watched The Peggy video again . First class . Can’t wait for the next video . Wonder who it will be . I remember asking Peggy about Making Night Of The Demon xx
Well the next one is quite a contrast 🤭
What did Peggy say to your question? Xx
What an absolutely beautiful video. The photo of Dublin in the 1920s was a lovely surprise for me, as I am a tram driver there now, and pass that spot many times daily. The beautiful roses for Peggy ❤
That's so lovely - thank you so much! and thank you for watching - it's much appreciated! xxxx
Your research is amazing. So thoroughly thought out. Hell drivers is one of my favourite films.
Thank you so much! Same for me I love Hell Drivers - what a superb cast too! ❤
She was both beautiful and talented. Hell Drivers is a classic. She fitted into that great cast perfectly.
I love Hell Drivers so much - what a cast! and it's such a re-watchable film! xx
Thanks so much for the upload on Peggy Cummins, as been stated was the love interest in Hell Drivers which is a great classic British film full off acting greats but she was lovely in the comedy films as well a sweet charming lady sadly missed.
You’re so welcome! Thank you for watching! I agree - Peggy was so talented - she was able to perform in a variety of genres and was always excellent ❤

She was excellent in one of my fav films 'Night of the Demon'
She was!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you just watched but couldn't remember the name👍💯

I had never heard of Peggy before. This story is beautiful, as was she. Peggy Cummings isn't the most, ah, poster-friendly gorgeous bombshell name, though. I wonder if that ever hindered her?

The butterfly at the flower laying.

Xxxx
Another wonderful video!
Thank you so much ❤ and thank you as ever for watching - it’s very much appreciated ❤❤❤
I am going to be absolutely honest - I'm not Tony's number one fan 😁 I shall listen out for that song! xx
Hello from Dublin I love your videos. It would be great if you did a video on Actor Tom Adams. Keep up the good work.

So nice of you - thank you so much for your lovely comment and for watching ❤❤❤
Oooh sounds great …. I remember her saying that it was great fun … xx
That’s lovely! She seemed such a positive person ❤❤❤

Well done and I love her
She was amazing! Such a talent and so beautiful ❤ such a kind person too xx
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre People have said I wasn't sexy enough. Hard to believe.

Although it reminds me a little of Sir Laurence Olivier telling Marilyn to just be sexy in the film The Prince and the Showgirl - Marilyn was massively offended by him 🤭
Thank you for watching! ❤

I love that outfit women wore at the time, of the pencil skirt, turtleneck jumper and beret. I wonder if women then actually wore that or is it just a "bad girl" movie look of the era?

I will be honest, I never heard of her but she was very beautiful. ❤❤❤
I think when you’re as crazy about vintage film as I am you know some very obscure actors and actresses - who were never really given the platform they deserved - I’ve spent a lot of hours trying to analyse why one persons acting didn’t have the same longevity as another’s of equal talent!
I can’t argue with that!!! It is a truly superb film and your comment sums it up beautifully! Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
@@BeautifulBadandBizarre No problem, my dear.

And I can tell you - I’ve had one of those days - so that’s proper cheered me up 🤭
I can only imagine how it must have knocked her confidence to be told she wasn’t sexy enough!
