With the final 8 matchups starting, the competitiveness is at an ALL TIME HIGH... but you know what else is? THE SKILL LEVEL.
This episode we got two polar opposites in the 1v1 game. Mario Smith (TreBallRio) is the UA-cam Kyrie. Unbelievably crafty, doesn't talk much, but has us tuned in whenever he has the basketball in his hands.
Rarejay on the other hand... this guy is known as the VILLAIN of STREETBALL. His energy can't be matched, and his ability to hit wild shots is just absurd.
The question is, WHO WINS THIS 1v1? The player thats more athletic, physically dominant, and can sway the game to his advantage with his trash talk? Or the undersized, yet cool, calm, and collected hooper with a PRO BAG?!!

Mario Smith is a sleeper that the rest of the competitors need to watch out for. Sucks that ReallyRareJay got exited again; settling for 3s was his kryptonite. He should've absued his size advantage and athleticism to get easier buckets and hardened his defense to limit Mario's bag but it what it is and props to Mario for advancing 👏

This was my favorite matchup. Mario is extremely skilled, move-set totally fluid. Mario was shooting lights out, basically out shooting Rare.
Rare put up a fight but it just simply wasn’t enough. Mario gassed him out of all his energy. Like Rare said at the end, he didn’t make his baskets and that’s true, if he would’ve made more jumpers the game wouldn’t have gone 2-0. He should’ve gone to the rack a bit more to warm his jumper back up but it just wasn’t working. Mario outclassed him completely. When I saw that last 3 ball by Mario in game one the momentum shifted to his favor entirely.
I’m surprised the insight you gave Mario actually worked, and it was to make sure Rare never took flight for a dunk. If Rare dunked it he would’ve been in Game two a lot tighter. They was both locked in and played well,
Rare proves he was more than a slasher. One just totally outplayed the other, saw a weakness in the opposing players game and tamed the beast.. Rare is so tough, but Mario is the toughest competitor in this entire league . If he made RareJay frustrated without a single word, bro is dangerous 🗣️

Rarejay had a good shot at winning this, but I think he underestimated Mario. No one will make that mistake again. Winning against Rarejay’ 2-0 in the final 8 is a STATEMENT… so the fact that he pulled that off says a lot about him💯

The guy who won twice is still the guy to beat, but to make it to the finals, vtg n rj. vtg is just so long and athletic, and on the mini court, there's just only so much space for guys to go to get around him.
