Hey guys great content. Very informative. Illinois fan since 1972. Used to love watching Bowl games. But anymore most of the good players don't play. Either opting out getting ready for the NFL draft or hopping into the Portal. You end up watching a bunch of different players in the Bowl game. Of course I have only seen 17 Illinois Bowl games in 52 yrs. Lol

NIL contracts might mandate bowl/CFP participation. But I wonder if bowls and even conference championship games are needed in the 12-team CFP era?
