TIM HARDAWAY DOESN'T GET ENOUGH CREDIT.! THE KILLER CROSSOVER WAS THE 1ST CROSSOVER I LEARNED! SALUTE TO A BEAST!💯✊🏾👏🏾🙌🏾
That killer crossover, the UTEP 2 STEP
It’s actually the best crossover out of all of them. And legal.

@@luciousbattlecat2618 facts
Never
Lol never, but the funny thing is, Magic, Bird and Pippen admitted it was them that kept him off the Dream Team not MJ! But MJ hates Isaiah for the walk off and beatings he gave him over the years
Because MJ had the last laugh and Isaiah salty! Isaiah ALMOST had a 3-peat in Detroit. Champions in 88-89, 89-90, crushed Jordan so he hit the weight room and came back the next season ready to catch BODIES. And so then in the playoffs that season, Isaiah lost to MJ & Chicago before the 90-91 Finals against the Lakers, ending Isaiah & Detroit chance of a 3-Peat. Then Mike GOT the 3-peat, immediately after he stopped Isaiah’s. Then went and played baseball. Then came back and got ANOTHER 3-Peat. Cmon man Isaiah is MAD salty.
All of them crosses were deadly!!!
You ain’t never lied.
I always liked Zeke’s because a ref, if he chose to, could call palming or carry on Iverson’s.
That’s facts
@@mobetta2092 That is exactly what Allen Iverson did he palm the ball on every cross over that he ever did. The sad part is the official let him get away with it.

@@codeworldentertainment4890 Most took that as hating on Jordan. I didn't. "As long as AI did it to somebody else" was my take.
Isiah is a legitimate beast, so much knowledge about 🏀
Zeke should and would have had a Championship Dynasty. If not for the NBA media’s (Skip Bayless was one of the newspaper originators) propaganda & lies, about Detroit paying out bounties for hard fouls and *deliberately injuring* opposing players.
They averaged more foul & technical calls in their possible Dynastic season, than any other team in league history, and it was especially high against the Bulls.

I honestly think that tight cross over is better
Only short guys could really pull off that bing-bing, one-two crossover. Once Kobe learned the hanging crossover from long arms Allen Iverson, it really opened things up for us taller wings.
Brooo, they don’t understand 😂
Us?
AI is unbelievably influential as a basketball player
TMAC?
I'm just glad he mention Tim hardaway, man's had that ankle breaker combo
Everyone has a cross over but Iverson is very special one
Iverson was so quick he could pull it off
You forget they actually changed the rules on his crossover. It was so effective that the league started calling it a travel, though it technically was only a 2 step move.
@@oz70nyc50 more specifically they started calling it a "carry" which idk me personally I think is bullshit but there are purists out there that will agree its a carry.
@@jstray7582 he put his hand completely under the ball every single time. They didn't change the rules, they just stopped letting him get away with it
Iverson had the speed to go outside the box and bring it back in. He had a peek a boo. He showed you the ball and made it appear sloppy and unorthodox, just enough to bait you to reach for it, then he attacked you. He didn't cross you to get by you, he crossed you to embarass you and take your soul. You actually had the audacity to try and reach..... it was brilliant. #TheHezzy 👏 ✌️
That's it That's it Iverson's was a B boy battle dance, shake you up and watch the crowd go ohhhh weeee Damn no he didn't!!!!
Exactly my guy, he was just that quick with it.
Sorry, but you know nothing about crossovers then. The point of a crossover is to make your defender think you're driving one way, but you crossover and go the other. It's not meant to appear sloppy or unorthodox..it's a slight hesitation to sell the drive
@@jaeaustin7362 actually you are reading that without applying actual basketball knowledge. You don't become Allen Iverson by being sloppy. It's the appearance of sloppy, relaxed dribbling that causes a defender to reach not only to go one way. His heezy was a thing of beauty and his crossover was not clean and tight like Hardaway's which was text book. He added sauce to it by putting the ball far and out from him while having the speed and precision to quickly change direction on you or freeze you up.
@@southpaw3199 can you do a crossover? Have you ever been crossed over? Cause your breakdown made it seem like you've never been on a basketball court in your life
Iverson was an expert dribbler. Crossed kobe. Crossed Jordan. Crossed Jesus. Crossed the red sea.
😂
You win lmao

Isiah, possibly the most underrated hof
Killer crossover
I love AI. I had his shoes growing up but have mention that's when the league started allowing carrying which is why is crossover is "outside the box."
Yea, to a degree. He didn't always carry. Truth be told shortly after they emphasized calling carrying to limit his production and other players around the league.
Now dudes are allowed to carry, palm, travel, double dribble etc.
@@greenmeaniebandits and that’s the main reason why these guys “bags” are so deep their allowed to do so much more
Yep the Jordan carrying started an a whole new way of playing was allowed from there on...yea AI 's crossover is just that carrying 😳 Thats why nobody tryed it until the Jordan era...Have u seen the clip of LeBron walking up passing half court justa carrying that 😳😴 that ball Ref wasn't about to say sht lol
Actually they banned his crossover so it wasn't when the league allowed carrying..
AI’s cross was different because the ball wasn’t on TOP of his hand. He never turned his hand over so it WASNT carrying. Watch closely.
Mike and Isiah beef is forever pause 😂

And this pause not even helping here with your "profile name" 😂🤣🤣🤣

@@jamesm7904 he’s right about the carrying part. That used to be called a lot. It was very annoying.
@@mockingslur6945 ... Right. I remember he got called for carrying quite a bit at first. But then around '98-'99 the refs seemed to make a conscious decision to be more flexible. I wonder if it was just because the crowds loved it... cause A.I. was the first dude I remember who seemed to relish the crowd reaction when he dropped defenders. He only had to hit you once to get space; but he's the first one I remember who'd hit you 2 or 3 times just to embarrass you

Miss them days 🔥 90s nba mindset
The hanging crossover. Made famous by AI. Taught to him by a walk on player at Georgetown.
Bubba Chuck was crossing people since AAU.... even before the bowling alley brawl... and that was high school... I know this because I'm From Newport News Virginia... Shit... I played high school football and my quarterback was Ookie... Aka Michael Vick...
Man you correct bruh. Bubba (A.I.) said it on the documentary. Cat use to mess him up with that cross. He got over his pride and ask homie to show him. I got family in Norfolk and Fairfax. You correct bruh.
Dean Barry you're referring to
Shot at Jordan lol
Now players like Kyrie & Steph are dribbling through the legs and behind their backs. The game has evolved, a lot more creativity.
Thank Nick Van Exel for that. Many players evolved from his crossover ball handling moves. Nick was the lefty version of Tim Hardaway
He said that too happily😂😂😂😂😂
The crossover that myself and Tim had were actually real crossovers. Y'all have a good day..✌🏾
He carried the ball a lot , but he was fun to watch.
The evolution of the crossover has been a joy to watch. Dudes are so creative nowadays
I’m 63 yrs old that is not new Maybe in the suburbs of Kansas Oscar Robertson was doing that in the 60’s. Earl the pearl monroe. Walt Clyde frasier
Shoutout to nba open court. I still use episodes as background noise to sleep to.
Big Facts 🤣🤣!
Zeke tge 🐐!!! #badboy #zeke #isiahthomas
I did that A.I cross over a lot in the late 90's early noughties. It was only in the mid 2000's that I learned the power of the UTEP Two Step.
ZEKE, Is MY FAVORITE Basketball 🏀 Player
From Chicago……..Hands Down, AllDay EVERYDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kyrie Irving has the best handles in the history of the nba. Period.
To much movement doesn't necessarily mean better. More flashy doesn't necessarily mean better. Kyrie tried crossing up kobe didn't work. AI crossed up kobe a couple times. Kyrie is great but not the best handler I've seen and I've been watching basketball since 94. Bring back hand checking guarantee you'd see less dribbling 😉
Check out Kyrie’s uncle Rod Strickland or Isiah Thomas
I would 2 with all the carrying double dribble and traveling
Jamal Crawford
I like Nick Van Exel sweet crossover with the IN-N-OUT move. He's the lefty version of Tim Hardaway
Instinct of Isiah was crazy he almost jumped up and showed it ! Dude is a Legend!
Now Stephs crossovers are the most deadly in the game ..He will cross over you ,leaves you at the border ,step back and stares dead in your eyes while launching it from way downtown ..😂

AI one of a kind!
Back in the day Lindsay Hunter during his Jackson State days had a killer cross as well as Kenny Anderson an Randolph Childress from Wake Forrest. Tim's and Isiah are great while also being fundamentally sound.
Jason Williams
As a kid who grew up in the early 2000s playing basketball as a kid, my best move was the A.I hesi crossover. From that one move it opened up 1000 moves or options. Helped me be top 10 in scoring in a men’s league while still in HS at 17 while being 6ft 165lbs.

This is spot on!
I love you hear Zeek speak. He has an amazing perspective of the game too. I hate how much the feud between the Bad Boy Pistons & The Bulls tarnished his legacy/greatness. Once Jordan put that X on him it was done… A bit off topic but Zeek shouldn’t def been on The Dream Team over Stockton
When Isaiah shook his head like an old grandpa, I spit beer out my nose!😬🤣
Isiah never aged
Love hearing legends break down the game
You can see the generations in the crossover and you can see the leniency between the referees on what they consider carrying
The thing that that made Allen’s crossover the best is because if you try to anticipate it, he can keep it in his left hand and go to the left
Idk why people give him so much crap. He's well-spoken, understands the game, has tons of respect for younger gens.
AI didn't get a Ring but he gave basketball \Hooper's a Great Move“Practice? You Talkin about practice?"
“I’m glad it was on Jordan and wasn’t on me” LOL!! 😂
I've played against somebody with the one two inside the Box crossover, they're quick as hell...
Iverson one of my all time favorites, but I’m surprised he wasn’t called for carrying when he came into the league at that time.
When he was doing the AI shake lmao
Crossing Jordan is still insane after so many years of seeing that highlight
So he’s been cruised tons of times, stop being selective my guy.
Isaiah Thomas was the man in his prime.
I remember this interview and this reference it all the time
AI would thrive in today's NBA
Man I appreciate to hear Gods of the game give praise to other Gods of the game!
Isiah Thomas’s handles aren’t spoken enough of
I used that crossover. It very effective in creating driving lanes and moving your defender. It has a small pause in it that can freeze your defender also and you can be moving all at the same time. Other crossovers you had to kinda stop to do it. Not this one. You can create so many other move off of it especially if you're ambidextrous and can shoot with either had... deadly
This is the best cross over break down I’ve ever heard.
Memories
"Glad it was on Jordan, and it wasn't on me" - Isiah Thomas
Zeike really had to mention Jordan's name into a conversation.
O.G. Point Guard Isiah Thomas for the little guys love you brother
Ivo’s style of cross seems suited better for hard drives to the basket, while Tim’s and Isiah’s was tight to better get off a pull up.
Just say it Isaiah, AI was carrying the ball
I can remember Iverson’s rookie year my brother, and I were sitting about six rows behind A.I.’s mother when we saw that crossover, and everybody was screaming! A.I.’s mother yells, “we’re going to be seeing a lot of that here in Philadelphia! “ and everyone cheers again! He was the best…..
Lol the end
Jordan watching like shut yo az up😂
T-Macs cross was unrivaled
Iverson helped change the dribbling rules around the NBA. You ever seen videos of Bob Cousy dribbling? That used to be the only way to dribble without getting called for a travel/carry. Iverson challenged the ref's to call a travel every play. Eventually they swallowed the whistle and let him use his signature crossover even though it was often called a carry when he got to the league.
The crossover originated on the west side of Chicago we been doing forever even in the mid 80s
That zeke cross over was deadly!!
