What an incredible actor Derek Jacobi is. Anyone who can play Shakespeare roles, Hitler, Claudius & the adorable Stuart from Vicious is a chameleon.
There needs to be more history programs made for tv today like there used to be in the 70's and 80's.
loved this series, some really fine performances. Why can't the main TV stations show something like this in the early evening rather than the usual game shows, chat shows and cooking programs! We're not all consumerist vegetables, you know.

I saw this at its Stateside television premiere. I only knew of Derek Jacobi from the Stateside run of I, Claudius. This scene knocked me sideways, for I'd thought nearly aloud, "If the man he portrayed spoke a word of English publicly, that would be HIM."

Oh SHIT 😮🤯 Derek Jacobi played also this Titanic series that came out in 2012-2013 i think and he portrayed Lord William Perrie who was the uncle of Titanic’s Master ship designer Thomas Andrews. I need to watch this film
this was a very informative film well made! well acted well researched!
Derek Jacobi is a great actor, but his younger Hitler to me looks more like Ernst Roehm.
"Acting" he says-
You cannot watch programmes for History lessons, and that must be immediately understood.

There was another video, where Jacobi-Hitler looked at drawings made by his architect. He IS Hitler and when he bows to a lady and kisses her hand - we see Hitlers eyes EXACTLY. Impressive. I wonder why it never came out digitally.
