MedCram - Medical Lectures Explained CLEARLY
I have a question for x ray pros. I went to get a chest x ray done recently and i moved about a centimeter or 2 away from the board. Will that affect the outcome?
Not a Pro, but in my experiences if the x-ray tech puts you in a certain position, and you deviate from that position, the x-ray tech should've caught it, but if it didn't, the Doctor who reads the x-rays surely will see a difference even if it's slight. Also it would depend on what the Doctor is looking for in terms of anatomy of the chest when she/he ordered the x-rays. There's a reason why x-ray techs tell you to take a deep breath and hold it before the x-ray is taken; they don't want any outside interference that would make the x-ray blurry. Hope this helps.

Respected Sir

I am a lawyer but I study medicine in my free time, just out of curiosity. After watching a few videos on X-ray, I can say it without hesitation that this was the most clear and to the point explanation. Thank you!
Vaoo that's gd
Thank you for such simple and concise videos Dr. Seheult!
Hey
Happy to see that you are back.
Always worth the wait. With plenty of information and good summary of what is happening. Salutations de Montréal.
Dr Seheult, you're really good at explaining things simply. I yearn to be a great physician like this as well.
Very interesting and informative!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge in an easy to understand method.
please never stop making videos! med student 3rd year!😄
I just had a chest x-ray and the PA didn't quite give a full understanding of what I was looking at, but, you have such a great way of explaining this. I'm not a med student, I'm just a guy who got diagnosed with pneumonia in the LLL and Lingula.
I work in long term care and we do AP lateral all the time. I wish we could do PA but they do lateral with AP still. Great video
some good information, thank you for teaching and sharing your knowledge
Great video. Explanations are clear and easy to understand and follow. Thank you!
Thanks for the videos bro. My 7 year old daughter wants to be a doctor & we include your videos as part of the curriculum. She's as much a fan of your as I am.
Many thanks, great expo for lay folk too. We need to know this stuff to stay in the loop and have understanding of our bodies.
Your videos are amazing. My medical school has tried to adopt the 'problem based learning' style of education but it has been one big fail of a transition. They tried to teach my cohort chest x-rays in 30 minutes and hired final year medical students to do the job, which turned out to be a disaster. So now I watch your videos and also read probably 10 different textbooks, and attend 0 of their so-called lectures.
best CXR interpretation on youtube
I love your explanation of the organs being closer to the "film" in a PA view (that's why it's the most commonly used view in practice...) and the analogy of the "hand shadow against the wall". The good things about youtube (and YOUR videos in particular, Dr Roger!) is that I can finally clearly understand things that professors yearned to explain (unsuccessfully) to me like 10+ years ago. (I had to learn some things by heart because I couldn't understand them....which I hated...) Medicine and its concept has to be logical and clear (and practical!!). As a straight A student, I sometimes felt dumb in med school.(That's maybe because I didn't have teachers like YOU. :) But fortunately I survived those years lol.. Keep giving us doctors those precious lectures of yours! Cheers! tc
+Stonefalconetti Thank you for taking the time to write this great feedback. Glad to hear that the video helped reinforce concepts that you learned many years ago. We'll keep making more videos and continue to strive for clarity and practicality. Thanks again
xray
Stonefalconetti

Barbara Orathes 😗
Very well explained
Superb explanation👍👌👌
As an x-ray tech who has done a thousand of these exams. Very good presentation. The only thing I would add is your interpretation of the dark, grey, white is all dependent on techniques. Bad technic and all those values go out the window. Thanks for the video.
great videos, please never stop making them
+DuePancho Thanks for the feedback, more videos coming soon

Before we begin an chest x-ray review, do we not look if it's AP or PA? How does one go on about differentiating between the 2?
