You are indeed the master of those major label one-offs. I can't even pretend to say I've seen those. Save the Turley Richards, that one is a bin regular here. Sons of Thunder definitely has the look, seems like a no-brainer for $15. Very charming looking sleeve there. You probably know it but one of my favorite major label one-offs is Whistler, Chaucer, Detroit, And Greenhill. very stoned rural vibe and the price has really come down on that.
I will gladly take that title haha. Love the major label flops/hidden one ‘n donee. Ohh yes, Whistler is a favorite. I have a copy! That’s good to hear, cause I’ve seen them reaching $75-ish over the years. One of my Instagram pals found one on the low end too a week ago.
Turley Richards's cover of "Love Minus Zero/No Limit" from that album was certainly a radio hit in San Diego; I remember it getting major airplay in 1970.
Hey man. I like that nobody cares about those records, I myself love learning about and discovering new music. That's why I dig your channel; it always seems like you show at least one band or lp I don't know. In this case, it's all five of them. Paramount label had some great artists, I'm definitely going to check out that Mark Radice. He looks really young. Tragic story regarding Turley. I'm down for singer-songwriter stuff. Sons Of Thunder sounds interesting. I've never seen the United Sons lp, will UA-cam tomorrow. Thanks as always for recommendations. Peace.
Dang Derek, I'd of picked up the Sons Of Thunder album simply for the cover! I have The Crusaders album you mentioned, which is pretty cool in places. I remember seeing the U.S. of America album, but never heard it. Keep 'em coming.
I see the Crusaders album around pretty frequently, in the unlikeliest of places! I sold the one I had for some trade, but I wouldn't mind having it again.
@@PsycheDerek. I found my copy in a local charity shop here in the U.K. Didn't know the band, but when I saw it was on Tower, I grabbed it! Plus, the album cover's cool, and features some cool fuzz geetar! Haven't played it for a while, but pretty sure there's a good Yardbirds-ish track on there.
Interesting title - had to quickly check this out! Love blind picks - used to take chances back in the day when budget bin LPS were as low as 3/$1.00. ...That Canadian LP looks mildly cool. ...I believe I have a Mark Radice 45 - maybe the better tracks from that LP (which, btw, I've never seen before). When I get a dog-chewed corner I cut the corner so it looks like a cut-out! ...I like those odd singer/songwriter LPs - I just found one by Jimmy Campbell, "Half-Baked" on Vertigo Records which has a few great tracks. ...Used to see that Sons Of The USA LP in the cutout bins but never pulled the trigger - sounds like I should have! ...Great topic today!
Haha yeah, I'm just throwing a title like that on this video, more as a joke. But I can't think of very many people wanting to pick these up except for me. Largely all blind buys for me, which I love if they're uber cheap. I have yet to hear that Jimmy Campbell record! I knew it was one of the cheaper Vertigos. Thanks for stopping by.
cool channel! just got back into collecting vinyl again and looking for new ideas like these : )
Thank you!

Just got a sealed copy of that Hard Stuff - Bulletproof you have on the shelf. Love seeing other collectors with this great stuff!
Nice! Thanks for stopping by. I curate in nearly every aspect of psych. But hard rockers like Hard Stuff make it over here too. 😊
Great video! Thank you for sharing
You’re the only other person that has a copy of Bulletproof that I know about, Time Gambler is one of my favourite tracks.
That's my favorite on there! I'm actually selling it now though. 😉

Cool! Yeah, I read he had some airplay but didn't specify which tracks of his.
The second Sons of Thunder is really good, has a slight bossa vibe mixed with soft psych. I'm a fan!
Nice! This group was new to me, so I'll be seeking that one out too.
Picked up the Mark Radice album here in Wales years ago. My sleeve was also beat up. Can’t remember much about the album though.

I'm all about sharing the ones people aren't talking about. I'm pretty fresh to these too. Appreciate it Dave.
That radice lp is awesome and a must have
I agree about the Paramount label. Plain, dull but nonetheless cool.
you know Save your money by Mark Radice? love that he was only 3 when he recorded it apparently
I have! I had to check out his singles too. Cool tune.

Mark Radice did, he bought his album from me
This was so cool...I like it when you eat gummies before your video's
I tend to take them in the morning. Centrum is a good brand!
Mark 3:17 And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:
Damn I just looked up United Sons of America... their song 'Friends' is really good!
Les is pronounced Lay, not Less. Nobody cares about Les Bel-Air here in Quebec.
I'm terrible at pronouncing shit like that.
@@PsycheDerek. You are not exposed to the french language where you live so it's quite understandable.
