Brilliant bike. I have the original 2000 model unrestricted in Kawasaki green, absolutely awesome bike. I'm 72 going on 73, keeps me young, and don't ride slow either. Had a bad trip in parking lot at home, walking to shop, broken nose, broken wrist, broken ribs both sides, torn muscle right arm, gonna be a while before I can ride again. Simple bloody trip, would have had less injuries if I came off the bike....... Cheers, ride safe.
Candy thunder blue. Wonder where this bike is these days ? Bought one brand new in 2003 - think it was a B2 model, for £6995 Riossi (formerly Carnells) Those were the days ....
Hey man! In 2004 I bought a new 2003 in pearl mystic black with the gold wheels but while watching this video I've gone back 3 times to 0:09 to look at the still picture. I think it looks even better in blue, honestly!
Pearl mystic black is the colour of the black and gold ZX12R dude , totally awesome bikes i too had the blue bike and wanted the black and gold but none in stock until i got the B6H 2006 model also completely Derestricted running a power commander and full race Akrapovich system and with Ohlins front forks , with baffle out mine was around 226bhp at 122ft lbs of torque and tank range around 100 miles each fill up
Weggy on a Harley??? It boggles the mind. Your enthusiasm for your bike is awesome mate. I've been able to keep my old K bike for the very reason that Mrs V finds the Guzzi too uncomfortable after an hour or so. "Oh dear, never mind love, we'll just keep the Beemer as well, okay". Ha ha ha. Cunning like a fox.
Volgnit Absolutely mate....Cunning.....yes...I've played that card with her majesty and it's done the trick...Looking for a 750 for a second good steed....with a comfy seat so she may join me finally... Both you're machines are great mate...The guzzi being very different!...cheers bud! .
i'm doing my a1 this year mate, got a 97 zzr600 e5, lovely condition 33k miles, full service history, it belonged to my brother before me who looked after it and barely did 5k miles while he had it. it belonged to his mate before that who used it as a summer bike, It will be my 1st big bike, still on the baby varadero at the min, been riding only 3 years now and i cant wait, i love the colour of yours, mine is silver and black with like a gun metal grey wheels. was toying with having it resprayed but it's mint and all original apart from the stainless down pipes so i'm not sure, i could go with an original colour if i find one thats nice or i might think sod it and just make it my own, i plan on keeping it a while.
I am a sucker for gold wheels. Lovely bike Weggy. Mine is the last of the Kwaks without electronics I think. ABS introduced for all bikes now. You definitely need a second bike for pillions. Don't watch my next video though because you won't like what I'm riding whilst looking for a bike for Mrs C to join me on.
Thats mint mate i have the same blue in a 04 and a blue/gold that you mentioned at the start of the vid. These really are a epic bike and cool to own. Do you still own it now
just bought a 2005 12r love em if you get a good one you'll be over the moon they can stay with anything thats if you can hang on mine was a bit dirty everywhere it's not been cleaned properly for a long time by the look of it bought last month and have nearly finished not much to do now can't wait to get out on it. but was thinking about changing the front forks. on one of em the chrome gone at the bottom but does anybody know if I can put 14r or 10r or some other forks on the 12r. hi to everyone who might read this vlog. take care out there .
It's a crackin bike buddy, and with you looking after it the way you do, she's certainly loved, I think in the end you made the right choice, Funny how we all think the same thing when we see a church these days eh! lol, "Suffolk Andy" lol, RSM8.
Outstanding like the colour like the sound of the rims so did this replace the Silver bike 🤔? Please excuse if I sound a little confused too many pain killers 😈💨 I've spent too long buying new bikes never used any of the electric gismo's wasted me money the latest GSX needed sorting lots still could be done however my riding years maybe limited with illness but glad I had this bike it's been fun so far fingers crossed for the future
@@luiscardozo0000 Don't really care which one can go a couple miles faster tbh, I like the design of both a lot and the fact that they are big and roomy sport tourers with awesome engines. Would gladly have both.
banditnev Go for it mate...an exceptional machine....Most will be more comfortable than mine as I said in vid it's set up quite hard indeed which I personally love but most will feel more like a zzr in ride....but hell they are fun....
Love your bike! How many bikes did you go through before you knew this was the one? It's interesting how different the UK accents are that I've heard from all the UK motovloggers...it makes sense, though, kind of like here with the Southern drawl. Enjoyed your motovlog...I don't often get to hear you talking.
WheelsNotHeels Not so.much a case of going through different bikes to finally get to this one but a natural progression over the years Wheels.... You know me well enough now to realise my love for Kawasaki bikes and in all fairness apart from one "a z250 scorpion" I'd own each and every one again... Obviously all different but great in ownership with their different looks ,handling and power delivery..buy over time they get replaced with something different. The zx is the culmination of all of the best ingredients of those past machines wrapped up in its present package and it hits the spot for me from every possible angle...which leaves me at this present time not wanting or needing to replace it with anything else as my main ride....Time will tell.. As for accents ...yes compared to the states we are a dot on the planet but we have so many interesting accents it's incredible.....we don't have to travel more than 40 or 50 miles for that to start happening ... The hardest accent for me personally to understand is the Scottish.....they are a world apart compared to us south of the border....and yes likewise with listening to the many different accents from state to state in America... You keep it cool and safe my lady.....and no hopefully 2018 will be a goer....!
have to agree re current bikes, there is really not much out there that shines any brighter than anything else currently. I think 2018 will see some changes though! :-)
How does it fare vs a blackbird? reliability ergos etc? Honda seems to have a much better finish but 12R as a 2x 10R owner atm myself and kawa die hard (07 fully drag bike build and an 05 black widow for commute) but im looking smth more comfy with the same buzz so i can keep my widow in my bedroom . Im sure kawa it will be 2x faster than the xx :p
After this weekend I do. Some major faffing got done and now she's looking perfect. Got a bit of footy to film and then I'm doing a vid on it. The 4 main aesthetic issues have been sorted. I'm chuffed !
after so many years of kawa being the fastest production bike they put the title on hayabusa but for real this kawa is faster ...only h2 is fastest than zx12r

The Dangers of Walking! Better Ride the ZX12 to the Shop next time!😉
I hope you're doing better now👍

Bought mine 2000 A1 on Sunday- from a collector- it’s mint 53K only, gorgeous red. First ride 280km
Wrong side of road my brother
Thanks for this great ride along! Going to pick up an 06 ZX12R next week, and definitely love the sound of the full Akro system.

I totally agree with you, with experience and a good head on your shoulders when riding you don't really need all these rider aids.
RevvedUpBiker Just the way we like it bud....User input defines my day...cheers !

Daz070 Good man Great bikes the zzr.
I went from zzr1100 d4 to 2000 ZX12R..the 12R is just ridiculous in terms of power and fuel.consumption..
But I love it.
Fuel consumption ...lol
220mph clocks always a talking point
I am a sucker for gold wheels. Lovely bike Weggy.

Don't do the cruiser thing. I succumbed and got a Gold Wing. Two months later I got rid for a 'Busa........no replacement for these types of bikes....
Tassels, chaps and a tash, go for it Weggy.
YumanRites Like a prat out of hell Yuman

I’ve just bought you’re old zx12r Weggy lovely bike and still in mint condition 👍
It's nice when you fall in love with a bike, but a shame we won't be seeing Weggy Cruiser anytime soon ha ha.

Same here... No bike out there that I would swop my 12r for ...im 6ft 15stone and sports bikes now too small for me.
Wish i still had it mate...but very happy with my bikes now..
I ride a 7 busa. Love it. Have always admired the 12R.
Would you say they offer similar sensations when riding, taking corners, etc?
i had both ..the kawa feel alittle more agile and light lot of ppl say suzi is faster but for real this kawa is faster than any hayabusa unmodified
@@luiscardozo0000 Don't really care which one can go a couple miles faster tbh, I like the design of both a lot and the fact that they are big and roomy sport tourers with awesome engines.

When you find the bike you want, in the condition you want, for the price you want, you have to be flexible with the colour. And don't I know it ;-)
