I get why he has a complex because I had one too but he should learn to love his hair... it took me time to appreciate my curly hair but now I love styling it...I think the problem is his haircut it is not fit for curly hair, he should get a haircut that does not have too much volume at the front and style his natural curls with hair products for curly hair FYI this is just my opinion I completely respect whatever he likes
Someone well versed in styling curly hair needs to get their hands on him. His hair would look SOOOO lovely properly taken care of~ I’m jealous at how much curl he has. My curls don’t curl as nicely at the root.
For all my curly haired people watching this: You DO NOT need to straighten your hair to fit the norm or to feel and be beautiful! Don’t risk the health of your hair and invest so much time and money to fit others beauty standards, all you need are the right products and a hairstyle that fits you. Don’t feel embarrassed about your hair, curly hair is gorgeous:)
I whole heartedly agree. It's so sad how he was even embarrassed of how God naturally made him. Being different is beautiful! People need to embrace and appreciate their differences of how they naturally were made!

I also have wavy hair (I'm Chinese) while the rest of my family have straight hair which made my hairdresser question me before proceeding to straighten it. I know I should've speak up but I would put my trust into my hairdresser since I don't know much about hair. Fortunately, I've started to let my hair do its thing because of the pandemic and haven't been suffering from damaged hair in awhile now
I had really curly hair when i was a kid but as i grew older it just straightened out 👀 Not sure how but the only thing i did different was warm coconut oil before massaging my scalp and hair

wah his curls could be so attractive if he wanted to manage them. you jsut need to take volume off the side kind of like troye sivan style and it would look so fashionable. maybe its just not his style thats okay too, but theres lots of great haircuts for curly hair!!
I guess not much hairdresser in Korea knows that natural curly hair do exist irl and should take care of it instead of straighten it... But I've seen a video about Korean hairdresser who can treat 4c hair, he finished her hair with a braids too!

It's the customer that goes and asks to straighten their hair so the hairdresser just does what they ask. Like the guy in the video goes to the salon for the sole purpose of straightening his hair, it's not like he goes and asks for suggestions. It's that person's responsibility to learn to care for their own hair.
@@karlafrancis8471 half true if I assume the person saying korean hairdressers don't know about curly hair was an hyperbole, it's just not something they teach to hairdressers Even in countries with a lot of people with curly hair it's still a big struggle and a lot of people grow up not even knowing they have curls The only hairdressers educated about curly hair purposefully studied it so why would most korean hairdressers go out of their way and do that for clients that will never ask for it
Most Asian hairdresser that I come across don't really know how to deal with curly hair, so most of times you only ended up with a failed haircut that at some point you could only give up dreaming of having a perfect hairstyle. Not to add that most parents aren't that knowledgeable in managing curls making most of curly haired kids feel so alienated with the world that they ended up choosing to straighten their hair such as me.
oh i would love to see it styled curly. If he learned how his hair can look good curly, if cut correctly, the right products are put in, and the right technique is used, it would look amazing. I hope he will learn curly is not a curse!
First I’d just like to say that he had a beautiful head of hair. Second, his hair isn’t as bad as he thinks. I wouldn’t classify it as bad at all. He has a lot of volume to it which is nice but he can definitely do a few things to control the volume while wearing his natural hair. Using a light holding gel will help with that along with defining the curls/waves. Maybe hitting the top with some thinning shears or doing some layers would help with the shape. Overall I think his hair is really cute. No need to straighten it, I kinda prefer it more wild lol
as a super curly haired Asian, it's easy for other people to say curly hair is cute BUT EVERYONE MOSTLY HAVE STRAIGHT HAIR HERE LIKE RULER STRAIGHT YOU KNOW when i was little i hate my hair and jealous of people who have straight hair. but now I'm 20, with the help of youtube and blogs, i learn to accept my curls and actually know how to style them (no one teach me how) 😔 it's sure a process of acknowledging your natural curls. it's not easy.
I feel you, no one never told me how to style mine and it was a pain for years. I also wanted straight hair so badly when I was younger. The hardest part for me, was that I was born with straight hair, and I kept having straight hair until I was around 6 yo. It was a nightmare to adapt to having curls from one moment to another.
It's actually understandable since curly hair really wasn't that appreciated or common in most developped countries for our entire generation growing up I think the people that are talking seeming like they're saying it's easy are just talking out of compassion because they actually went through similar hardships Then again I understand the different current cultural context and even the wish of the person Hell, as soon as I became an adult I gave up on putting effort to keep up with my hair texture and went and got my hair straightened permanently Curly hair felt foreign on my head as I grew with a mother who did not know how to take care of it so if was just damaged, and same thing with hairdressers who had no education on the subject, everyone was happier just to straighten it And yeah being associated with being the one with the big hair in the class was not great either So yeah on my part I just wish as we are adults now, that people just know there is the option to take care of your hair and maybe consider the option one day to try and just grow truly undamaged hair and not the mess we probably allmost all grew up with

My little girl gets curly hair from her dad. I am learning all I can about curly hair to teach her love her curl, I remind her every day that her curl is beautiful, mommy loves her curl
@@Gr95dc I get exactly what you mean.My hair was super straight through out child hood,so much that hair band just wouldn't stay but after puberty it went in a mixed form where front of my hair is curly/frizzy mid part is wavy and inside is straight. I also did get a straight rebounding and the whole year it lasted was such a bliss.Now tho I need to touch up cause all new grown hair are curly and old hair is super straight.Its such a juxtaposition.

yeah same here. I have thick, bushy, semi-curly hair. I know there’s products and routines for curly hair, but I’m too lazy to manage it so i just straighten it lol
Thing with curly hair like that is to let it grow longer if you don't want it too puffy. Gravity weighs it down and the volume isn't as bad to manage. Also the added waves, curls, and ringlets that could happen would definitely make him model material. I do understand wanting to fit in and not stand out too. In the end it's his choice 🤷🏾♀️.

My hair used to be like this. Like him, always straightened my hair. Then I discovered cgm and realized that my hair was curly and it just needed to be managed properly. Now I have wonderful hair and curls. (edit: but if he prefers straight hair, that's ok too)

First I’d just like to say that he had a beautiful head of hair. Second, his hair isn’t as bad as he thinks. I wouldn’t classify it as bad at all. He has a lot of volume to it which is nice but he can definitely do a few things to control the volume while wearing his natural hair. Using a light holding gel will help with that along with defining the curls/waves. Maybe hitting the top with some thinning shears or doing some layers would help with the shape. Overall I think his hair is really cute. No need to straighten it, I kinda prefer it more wild lol

as a super curly haired Asian, it's easy for other people to say curly hair is cute BUT EVERYONE MOSTLY HAVE STRAIGHT HAIR HERE LIKE RULER STRAIGHT YOU KNOW when i was little i hate my hair and jealous of people who have straight hair. but now I'm 20, with the help of youtube and blogs, i learn to accept my curls and actually know how to style them (no one teach me how) 😔 it's sure a process of acknowledging your natural curls. it's not easy.
I feel you, no one never told me how to style mine and it was a pain for years. I also wanted straight hair so badly when I was younger. The hardest part for me, was that I was born with straight hair, and I kept having straight hair until I was around 6 yo. It was a nightmare to adapt to having curls from one moment to another.
It's actually understandable since curly hair really wasn't that appreciated or common in most developped countries for our entire generation growing up
I think the people that are talking seeming like they're saying it's easy are just talking out of compassion because they actually went through similar hardships
Then again I understand the different current cultural context and even the wish of the person
Hell, as soon as I became an adult I gave up on putting effort to keep up with my hair texture and went and got my hair straightened permanently
Curly hair felt foreign on my head as I grew with a mother who did not know how to take care of it so if was just damaged, and same thing with hairdressers who had no education on the subject, everyone was happier just to straighten it
And yeah being associated with being the one with the big hair in the class was not great either
So yeah on my part I just wish as we are adults now, that people just know there is the option to take care of your hair and maybe consider the option one day to try and just grow truly undamaged hair and not the mess we probably allmost all grew up with
Same most if my siblings have straight hair and i and my only sister have curly hair and we HATED it im 16 yo now and still learning to love my curls still don’t know how to style it but i hope I’ll manage that soon
My little girl gets curly hair from her dad. I am learning all I can about curly hair to teach her love her curl, I remind her every day that her curl is beautiful, mommy loves her curl
@@Gr95dc I get exactly what you mean.My hair was super straight through out child hood,so much that hair band just wouldn't stay but after puberty it went in a mixed form where front of my hair is curly/frizzy mid part is wavy and inside is straight. I also did get a straight rebounding and the whole year it lasted was such a bliss.Now tho I need to touch up cause all new grown hair are curly and old hair is super straight.Its such a juxtaposition.

Thing with curly hair like that is to let it grow longer if you don't want it too puffy. Gravity weighs it down and the volume isn't as bad to manage. Also the added waves, curls, and ringlets that could happen would definitely make him model material.
I do understand wanting to fit in and not stand out too. In the end it's his choice 🤷🏾♀️.

My hair used to be like this. Like him, always straightened my hair.
Then I discovered cgm and realized that my hair was curly and it just needed to be managed properly. Now I have wonderful hair and curls.
