I don't think that's temporary. That's why it's so terrifying. It's a newly discovered virus carried by certain tick species here in the US and IIRC the allergy it leaves behind is generally permanent.

Not the Korean ones she talking about, I seen a lot of videos on them they look amazing. But ya those ones contain fresh strawberry mixed in along with the syrup so its a no go.
Yeah she also talked about how she used to try various things that didn't list strawberries among the ingredients but had allergic reactions, notably fruit punch type things. So she just doesn't take the chance anymore since strawberry allergies are rare and many don't think to list it.
My sister loved cinnamon, it was her absolute favorite spice and flavor. Then one day after church, when we were kids, she suddenly got really sick from a fireball she'd eaten, so our mom took her to the hospital, and it turns out she developed an allergy to cinnamon It's rather crazy how one can just develop an allergy to something they were eating perfectly fine the night before.
And this is why being allergic to scents like perfume is more bearable than being allergic to any food item. I just get a stuffy nose compared to crazy swelling that could choke the life out of me.
Awwwww, poor Selen!!! Strawberry milk is great, I had one fancy brand here that came in glass bottles and it was like the food of the gods, like ambrosia. unfortunately they eventually switched to plastic bottles and the quality went down, I suspect someone bought them out and cut the quality.

Some strawberry milk doesn't actually have strawberries at all. Someone tell her to buy some Hershey's Strawberry Syrup. You just add that to a glass of milk and stir it up. Ingredients: high fructose corn syrup, water, corn syrup, and less than 2% of: artificial flavor, citric acid, sodium benzoate, xantham gum, artificial color red 40. None of the allergy warnings actually include strawberries. Just have some benadryl and maybe an epi pen on hand just in case, buuut it shouuuuld be fiiiiine.

Depends on the degree of reaction. I'm technically allergic to cats and dogs but it's mild and I've lived with and around both all my life, gained a tolerance for it. However I once had a strawberry protein shake and like Selen I broke out in hives all over my body, that's just not something you can mess with.

Yeah, I get that feeling, I have to balance my love for cheese with the desire to breathe.
love cheese enough and you won't have to worry about the latter for the rest of your life
that sounds quite rare

Absolutely. It would be equally as horrible as being allergic to milk or tomatoes.

A lot of strawberry milk doesn't contain any strawberry at all (only chemical flavors). So should be okay to try it.
