Dope! I had a feeling the new calipers could be a direct bolt on with no adapters needed! Very cost effective compared to my plan, made adapters to fit some very popular new brembos that come on the alfas and Teslas 🤫

Yes you can. You will be left with a 5mm dust ring and a very expensive rotor to replace in the future. Approx. 100€ for VW(pair) vs 300€ each for the CSL rotor.

Thanks for this guide. I just made the mod on my 323ci, bored the disc center on a lathe, and used 0.9mm M12 washer. No way to use the disc holder hole, it's not aligned with the hub.
Fits without spacer on my 18" rims.
But it feels like the stock brakes lines are a bit short (at least when the car is jacked up). Have you notice that ? How is yours holding so far ? (I used Aftermarket calipers though)

Why did the style 68 rims no fit? which ones fronts? rears? is it due to spacing in terms of 17 inch diameter so the wheel hits the top of the caliper or the side of the caliper where it meets the spokes of the wheels?

    nice.
If you can get away with a 20mm spacer with your wheels.
you can use the F Series M Sport 340mm Discs, then enlarge the Spacers center bore to 8cm and put the spacer behind the disc and its all BMW OEM parts
Slightly better maintenance wise as you dont need to keep getting Discs modified
    Like i did here:
    ua-cam.com/video/z1MX5lvMrz8/v-deo.html
no need to add washers to space the calipers either.

you dont even need shims. if you use theses discs as in the video, you have to bring them to the machine shop anyways. so ask them to machine out the inside of the hub the amount required. They can be made to sit perfectly centre without any shims as the hub material is 3mm thicker than OEM so gives you plenty of room
