- Today, we have a different type of episode. Not exactly true crime, but it is still a very interesting case of a man possibly has killed more than any other single person in modern history. Was this justified? Listen in and come to your own conclusion!

We're a true crime channel that started as a podcast, and now mainly focuses on UA-cam. We cover serial killers, murderers, and all around general psychopaths. We also want to cover more cult, and obscure stuff as well. Let us know in the comments what you like! We don't do ASMR ;)
Using the term murderer in this instance does not apply, the meaning of the word murder:- "Someone who illegally and intentionally kills another person". The operative word being illegally here, as a soldier fighting against an invading army he had the permission of his government to take the lives of those who would take his life and the lives of his fellow countrymen. There is no murder case here. Not that I agree with war. But I do think perspective must apply and those using the term murderer should be ashamed.
For sure. I’m curious to see how everyone in the comments will react but I have a feeling most will agree.
@@ogdencastle Great video, btw - I've watched other videos about this guy and the work you folks did with this video was informative and well presented and added to the history instead of being redundant. Thanks for sharing.
@@cseguin 100% agree... ive seen 2-3 videos as well and this one was full of stuff and hadn't already heard and kept me intrigued
Exactly. Here you have a tiny country and one man is killing many soldiers. However, there is no mention of the huge invading army of 450,000 killing civilians, hundreds of them. He killed soldiers and the soldiers that he killed were killing civilians- the elderly, men, women, and children. I think that you guys need to study history a little bit before you talk about it.
Bro this guy was a hero. Sniping in the winter with Iron Sights and a wad of snow in his mouth. The guy is a first class badass. Respects to Poland and Finland from 🇨🇦✊.
Man I live in Wisconsin and gripe about all the bullshit I gotta pack on just to walk outside in January. Lol.
I don't know how people could criticize him...
What a wonderful guy put it this way if he hadn't shot them they would have him.. great video ty.
War sucks 🙈
That's a pretty loose way of using the term "mass murderer" . . . "murder" is a pretty specific thing, imho - and it has _nothing_ to do with defending oneself or your property/nation/family, etc.
FINLAND!!! FINLAND!!! FINLAND!!!!
Bicycles have many advantages as transportation. Yeah, you can go faster and carry more than on foot, but its also quieter than a motorcycle and doesn't need petrol. It's also much, much more convenient than a horse who needs to be fed and rested regularly.
I believe you meant to say “queerer” not quieter.
Ask the Vietnamese about bikes and artillery.
Surgical, so much better than dropping a bomb on a village full of innocent people
I loved this one. I don't understand why he would be called a mass murderer. The man was doing his job and sadly it was killing the men who were invading his country. Also, nothing beats iron sites if you can shoot with irons like that no need for optics.
Because all the alpha males died in the viking era.
I know, right? His country was INVADED.
Very easy debate. He is not a mass murderer he is a Finnish war hero. He didn't go to Russia to kill Russians. He did not kill anyone before the war or after the war. No matter how much you disagree with war that will do nothing to stop wars from happening. When his family, friends, neighbors and countrymen were being butchered by a superior power he did what he had to do and it sounds to me like he did not take any pleasure in it. None of these are characteristics of a mass murderer or serial killer
I thought this was gonna be about the one soldier who took the entire troupe's supply of methamphetamines and proceeded to break them all out of POW prison by hand
Damn…
Said like it's straight out of a Cheech and Chong movie. 🤣
If you are talking about Aimo Koivunen he was never captured en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aimo_Koivunen
@@schmitty5461 yeah thats the one lol
Thank you kindly for covering a subject so close to my Finnish heart.
I love that you guys do different stories vs just true crime all the time!
Totally a hero. It's not murder to protect your people from an aggressive, invading force.
Dude ain’t no mass murderer brah. My best friend cleared a path to Fallujah. Did what he had to do. And if he hadn’t, our government would have labeled him a infidel and he would have been dishonorably discharged.
Dude was a badass.
if you think this was bad, you should see what the black death did
So weird, I was magically unsubbed to this channel. I'm glad I thought to check in here. It's been several months since I've seen your videos.
Tuberculosis
I really like your videos and appreciate very much the research you do for each subject. As much as I would love to hear the story of the Finnish hero Simo Häyhä though, I had to stop the video, less than 2 minutes in. It's difficult for me as a European to tolerate the way you talk about the Soviets. WW2 was won by the Soviets, for the sake of the rest of us. Have some respect.
Yes! This made my morning....great podcast as always ☺️
You get my 👍for the handle❤reminds me of Mink Deville. 🎶
@@SpiritGirlSF thank you ❤️
I find this case to be extremely fascinating!! Thank you so much for all the hard work that you two put into your videos!! I so appreciate it!! You two are absolutely amazing individuals!! Again thank you!!
Another banger lads
I think Simo did an exceptional job at protecting himself, and his fellow soldiers. 500 in 100 days, is alot.❤️ In no way, should he be classified as a mass murderer.💙
The mass murders of the war were the Germans. No mention of the fact that the Soviets killed over 75,000 when they invaded Finland-with an army of over 450,000, and many were civilians. This sniper only killed soldiers.
@@emmas1082 Just curious, what was Simo? I'm sorry, I can't remember. I never liked history in school, so I suck at it. Lol. It was boring to me, so I could never get interested enough to want to learn about it. Sorry. Thank you for sharing with me. I love learning new facts. 😁♥️
@@tyobtyob6826 You referred to him correctly as a soldier, he was a corporal during the war. Based on your comment you seem to know a lot more than most people.
@@emmas1082 Lol. Thank you, but if I seem to know more than most people, that's not saying much for others. Lol. I know next to nothing about history. Thank you for taking the time to explain things to me. I appreciate it. I also appreciate your kind words. You seem very kind.😁♥️
This is neither here, nor there, but Simos dog is absolutely adorable.
TORILLE!!! 🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮
TORILLE 🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮
I’ve been catching up for a few days now. I was slacking and missed the return! Stoked to see y’all back. If I can offer a nugget of advice...you would have hit the 50k mark already if you were still sending love to the Step moms of the world.
Lmao you right
By the way, excellent.
In war can any soldier who kills more than 3 of the enemy be considered a mass murderer? In all the WW2 documentaries I ever watched one message remains loud and clear, the world wide collective voices shouting "Never Again!!", yet we're still all puppets dancing for those who are leading us straight to another hell0 moment in history. Hopefully your story will stir memories in others as well. Sorry but calling a soldier a mass murderer or murderer is so weak and sad. If this is the mentality of most Americans, may George Washington save us. Peace out.
What an incredible life and achievement. So lucky that he wasn't killed by the explosive round. A modest man of outstanding courage
*People who think what he did was evil simply have no understanding of heroism
What? The Russians came in to kill and subjugate the Fins. He was defending his country. Alls fair in love and war.
As someone from very near Finland, he sounds exactly like how I imagine a Finn to be. Like us and Estonians, but even more so! I feel represented.
It's Häijö not "Haija". But I'm nitpicking.
Very glad to watch this as your long time fan From Finland ❤️
The white death is such a fitting name for this badass sniper. Oh my lord!!
Great episode guys! Love when you do topics like this 💙
Super interesting!
So what happened to his famous gun after he was presumed dead? I'm only 12 minutes insofar maybe it's going to come up before the videos over
Very good history! Thanks 😊
You know nothing about history
He was nothing less than a hero.
I love Finland.
Dude was a G
O.O 500 ppl 😲
the uk dresden bombings killed 25000 civilians in one night, those RAF crews were also topscorers , and the 2 nukes killed up to 200000 civilians , if you divede that number with the 2 b29 crews we have our massmurder winners!! so compared to USA Finland are novices when it comes to massmurder.
the crews on those 2 planes were 6 , so divided with 200000 its 33000 for each US Army crewmember. that must be the abolute supermassmurderkiller record EVER.!! maybe you make a video bout that :-)
what about the most lives lost at sea EVER !the wilhelm Gustloff sunk by a soviet sub 9400 woman and children, dunno how big the crew on the sub were?
The man who burned in hell for eternity after living as a Babylonia hero.
Great Guy.
The Vietnamese used bikes to transport artillery against the French to great effect.
