I was so glad to see you get the surgery, and come back so well. Then I had my own life threatening problem, and it only makes me so much more happy to see you doing what makes you happy, realizing what some of us have gone through. Thanks for all you have done over the years here Izzy!
When I was young I used to stay away from fads because I didn't want to be a sheep but I think back on how I was missing out on discovering something neat that ultimately would have brought me closer to my class mates. If you want to build it then build it! Don't create if it's only because your being pressured to though!!!
Some years ago I found an image online where they used metal strips that had a string knotted through them to create that tower. I could never figure out how to build one to prove it would work because it required the strips to be under tension in just the right way with knots on each string. Your method with the wood and the side screws is a far superior design and accomplishes the same thing. Awesome project.
Even thou you mention you were keen to do what other (trend) are doing, you made it completely different. All the tensegrity object youtube recommends, are of the multiple threads/chains one. Yours is thinking out of the box, kudos. Really like it.
Drives me nuts that this is so hyped. Something that takes 3 seconds to figure out can't be called, "impossible". I like your version though, good job.
I've never seen this before, and it took a minute for my brain to wrap around the physics involved. Now just have some recessed cup holders on that baby. Nice work, and glad to see the color in your face coming back.
Wow, that is super awesome. Izzy blows doors with stuff like this. I knew the bag of cement wasn't gonna fly at all but, totally Kool. I love watching this channel. The content here is always relevant and really inspiring. Jim
I'm glad to see you taking my advice and taking it slowly brother. Back issues can be very devastating which I know from experience. I threw my back out yet again today so yeah, seeing you in that chair again reminded me that I'm still fortunate enough not to need one yet, key word is yet. Keep the awesomeness coming and we'll see you in the next one :)
I've been watching a lot of tensegrity videos recently and not only is it cool to see you do one but I really like your change to the design. I won't be one of the guys who says "You should have done it this way". That being said I am going to say "When I build mine with your design I'll use countersunk screws and wood plugs to make the screws disappear. Great idea though! Thanks!
- Nice idea. The rope/cord could have been stiffened with "crafter's fabric stiffener" used to make stiff transparent pieces for Halloween costumes. It stays stiff for years. Cool idea for a table. Thanx 4 sharing.
Izzy, how about using a pair of collets in the top connection, they could be as long as the thickness of the top plate, or even a little more. They would grip the entire circumference of the rope & pull tighter the more pressure that's applied by the tension. It would be a fit once though & no chance of taking it apart to paint or finish it. I know you could make them. Keep well from the UK.
Great work as always. I'm glad you decided to do it because as usual, you approached it in your own unique way. Hope you're on the mend and you and your family are staying safe during these trying times.
Well, that was rather interesting Izzy. Leave it to you to dream up something like that! BTW, I see that you are using the chair to get around again. I hope that you haven't had a set back.
Now that was cool! I wonder if you could make the upper connection secure enough if it would make a good desk stool. It seemed it might be somewhat comfortable and move with you.
Really fascinating projects! I'm amazed at your imagination and your ability to build prototypes that work! Would the table be more stable with aircraft cable and more tension? It looks to me that it's the elasticity of your cord that is leading to failure.
I feel like you could make one that looks just as cool but is more stable using a thin but quality steel rod. Polish it up so it reflects and disappears a bit more :)
The other tables are actually having the top table hanging from the bottom table (which sounds weird but really isn't),while yours is using tension to have the string (rope, rly) behave like a solid rod. Also some vague physics memory tells me that this will never take a lot of sideways load, since strings don't really like being tensioned absolutely straight all that much. Anyway: not the same thing. Still interesting, but not what the other videos do.
Yeah, gotta cut the top and bottom connections and just leave the one in the middle. Ideal is to make it look more floating, but with the rope through it all it kinda breaks that illusion. Still cool, but a different sort of cool.
I didn't read all of the comments, but can I make a suggestion? Could you get it more stable if you solidly attach the rope top and bottom with the two middle pieces loose? Then jack the two discs apart as much as the fasteners can hold. Then tighten the middle pieces. I'm thinking you'd get a more taut rope and a more stable table.
I was so glad to see you get the surgery, and come back so well. Then I had my own life threatening problem, and it only makes me so much more happy to see you doing what makes you happy, realizing what some of us have gone through. Thanks for all you have done over the years here Izzy!
Hang in there man!!!
Izzy, it is always a pleasure to see the work you do. I love trying these projects. THANK YOU for what you do.

You're obviously too young to remember pet rocks.
Think it goes to show that between you and Jimmy D nothing is beyond your skills. Enjoyed watching. Thks.
You're a mad genius, I love it.

You and guys like you doing what you do would make a great tv show. Wish I had one tenth of your talent.
Even thou you mention you were keen to do what other (trend) are doing, you made it completely different. All the tensegrity object youtube recommends, are of the multiple threads/chains one. Yours is thinking out of the box, kudos. Really like it.
That is an awesome design! Have you considered building one with a steel cable instead of rope? It seems like you could get more consistent tension.
I had a vague thought whether this could be done.
Izzy comes along and says "hold my drink".
He says hold my drink and watch this. It will be cool 😎
Fancy seein' you here Brother...
Lovely
This man is unique. There’s always something that he does that pushes a concept forward. Great video !
This already existed
Drives me nuts that this is so hyped. Something that takes 3 seconds to figure out can't be called, "impossible". I like your version though, good job.
Right? It's super intuitive.
Amazed by people that have wood working talent like this..
Theres definitely some badassery going on in that shop!
Izzy, I'm just starting to watch, but I have to say: I LOVE that music you've been using in your videos! It transports me to The Mask movie! 😂
I love it too, sounds like Caro Emerald to me.
@MC"s Creations, According to SHAZAM it's
1) "Rock This Joint" (Original Mix) Yanivi Feat. Bella Potchy
2) "Nu Island" DayFox
@@GrayRaceCat Nice! Thanks! 😃
Looks great Izzy!
The whole concept of these floating tables just blows my mind but a single string? Just ... bang ... mind gone.
Nicely done!
So good to see you having fun and sharing it with us, Godspeed Izzy.
I've never seen this before, and it took a minute for my brain to wrap around the physics involved. Now just have some recessed cup holders on that baby. Nice work, and glad to see the color in your face coming back.
Glad you jumped over to a "trendy" one just to put your twist on it.... great project and cool as crap. Keep it up!
The one with the crescents would make a cool feature light!
I understand the theory but seeing it produced makes my head hurt 😜👍
Awesome execution thanks‼️

I AM SO HAPPY TO C U R KEEPING BUSY DO NOT LET THIS STOP OR SLOW U DOWN STILL PRAYING FOR U SIR

As always, the mind of Izzy is AMAZING! I'm inspired to try this out, to make some trellis type structures for plants to climb up!
I like the Trellis idea, if you don't mind I'm going to borrow it!
Классный дядька, весёлый и рукастый! Жалко, что у меня руки растут не как у него из плеч. Удачи в жизни и никогда не унывать! Привет из России!
That's really neat, Izzy. I hadn't heard of this before but it's a really interesting concept. Stay well and keep healing. Bill
Great stuff Izzy :) Flip the table up the other way without fixing the cord; looks like it'll work fine. All the Best.

Usted es un gran Ingeniero. Lo felicito. Saludos desde Caracas, Venezuela

Seriously dude, you're a beast. Hands down, thumbs up, beast.

That did look fun.. I like how you are an out of the box thinker.
Super good work sir
Well done izzy pretty wicked
Inspiring! Thank you very much! Greetings from Germany! Good Job!
As Evan and Katelyn would say, I think thats more tensegrity adjacent... lol cool stuff izzy.
Super Video Dankeschön fürs Zeigen
Great work as always. I'm glad you decided to do it because as usual, you approached it in your own unique way.
Hope you're on the mend and you and your family are staying safe during these trying times.
brilliant designs I think sooner or later there is going to be a Tensegrity world wide challenge with a financial prize for motivation
That's insane! Let me tell you that you are pretty amazing in that field! Terrific job! I am from Honduras!
Well, that was rather interesting Izzy. Leave it to you to dream up something like that! BTW, I see that you are using the chair to get around again. I hope that you haven't had a set back.
Me ha gustado mucho,Tienes un gran ingenio. Saludos
VERY GOOD CONCEPT AND NICE TO SEE.
THUMBS UP 👍.
Nice job!
You are a wood Artist........excellent experiment.... 👍
I'm loving all of these! Your builds are great and your music choices make me happy!
Getting in on the latest fad is cool as long as, and only as long as, you put your own twist on it.
So awesome Izzy.
Nice work . Specialy on the table. I din't espect to hold that .
Using a fishing string for big fish it will be great .
Man I wish I was there with you in the shop. This was just fun to watch...
Man, this is gold!!! Engineering at it's finest!
Nice extension of the technology!
For the table, how about if you do in a tripod fashion? Tripod to base and three arms going up to the top?
Would it be more stable?
Now that was cool! I wonder if you could make the upper connection secure enough if it would make a good desk stool. It seemed it might be somewhat comfortable and move with you.
Steel cable and professional tensioners and that makes a really good flexible chair
I wonder if the most bottom string was pulled really tight during assembly, would it offer more stability..?
the more you stretch the string, the more it would resist stretching, so the more stable it would be.
Fun, and worked. Hope you start to feel better.
Great job Izzy
I can't believe what I just saw. Thank you.
Izzy i thought that was brilliant build loved it
Mágico não existe.
Mas pessoas super talentosas como vc sim👏👏👏👏👏
Que belo trabalho 👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷 🇧🇷
Оригинальная работа. Надо тоже попробовать.
Very clever... This showed the copycats, that thinking and being original tops all. Good job.
When the idea is cool, why not? I appreciate you taking your own approach to it though
You are brilliant. Many thanks.🇬🇧👍
Possible small variation on the chair - run the rope up through the center of seat, then coil it, creating anything of a cushion.
So cool! Not matter what you innovate!
Excellent brother s.... Thank lots for sharing......
Izzy... 1 part woodworker and 1 part magician.
If you're uncomfortable when doing stuff, it'll show! So run that fan to stay cool, I fully know the feeling!
Looked like fun.
You rock👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Really fascinating projects! I'm amazed at your imagination and your ability to build prototypes that work! Would the table be more stable with aircraft cable and more tension? It looks to me that it's the elasticity of your cord that is leading to failure.
That's incredible!
you should use the single string C setup you have in the background, but with some cable, and make it a REALLY sick floor lamp!
Thats crazy nuts stuff. I need a lie down. Sweet work
Very cool 👍👍
Yep, my momma always taught me to like, comment, and subscribe. Cool table!
I feel like you could make one that looks just as cool but is more stable using a thin but quality steel rod. Polish it up so it reflects and disappears a bit more :)
Thought about how much weight the table will (theoretically) support: Is it equal to the upforce applied by Brad when the table was assembled?
had to like and subscribe for the unique implimentation of a tensegrity table
Great fun as always big guy, Why don't you try to turn that C shaped one into a lamp of some sort. I think that would look great.
Leave it to Izzy... Next F-ing level. So much cooler than the ones struggling with 4-10 wires and all these complicated tensioning systems.
It's so beautiful .i like that
Amazing, please make more ideas like that!!
Love it! Man I want to try’
For some reason, just looking at the beard of the narrator, I decided to watch the video))) And I was not mistaken! Like!
Way better than everyone else’s.
Pretty fantastic work, Izzy! 😃
I need to try to make something like that!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Really cool Izzy! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Love the floating project. If you used plugs for those screws, it would give it a heck of a lot better optical illusion, but cool nonetheless!
The other tables are actually having the top table hanging from the bottom table (which sounds weird but really isn't),while yours is using tension to have the string (rope, rly) behave like a solid rod.

Fabulous
Well done 👍
Table, heck; that's an awesome *STOOL!*
Wow. Just gorgeous. Still unsure how this works but it’s amazing. Hope your doing ok
The first one would make an awesome lamp
Next vid, tensegrity CHAIR!!
