When You did This Did you do any cam upgrade, or porting, I took my stock 85 4.3 ported the stock heads, stepped up the cam, Cost to much. But I did pull on engine Dyno 273 hp 295 ft pound, on Carbureted Motor this was 8 years ago, That same motor is now running my House 1955 Generator. Still Runs Great.

Was looking at hand held tuners, but I really want actual control over all parameters. One tuner I saw my buddy used simply said "flash performance tune" Didn't say what it changed, no info.....didn't seem like it anything. How hard is hp tuners to learn. Surely if I can tune a carb, I can tune a computer right?
somethings a little off here those starting numbers were extremely low I went to college at UNOH and we had multiple dynos and learned how to setup run and calibrate them and I dynode my 1998 4.3 5 speed truck and with no tune it consistently mad 189hp and 265 torque still not awesome but your truck with no tune shouldn't be making 125 unless he did a shorter run and it only captured a peak of 125 or the something else is going on i mean a quick google search shows these trucks rated for 195 all day long
You still have the sequential spyder system of injectors? I was forced to upgrade to the multi-port fuel spyder and my 01(standard cold air intake and Thrush muffler) has some serious kick.
@FlippinCustomized torque definitely improved nicely but 175whp after tune does seem a bit low i was expecting it to make closer to 200whp. So how much does this truck make stock no tune to the wheels like 150hp?
I got a 4.3 5 speed 98, I reached out to the same shop that done this dyno and he helped me get a base tune for mine. I bought a laptop and HPTUNERS and I've been learning and tuning, I haven't dynoed mine but I can tell ya from a 15 mph roll it will stay right beside a stock 5.3 Silverado. They will get me out the hole from a dig cause I'm a 5 speed but a small roll I can stay side by side now, and I also went from 20 mpg to 24 mpg playing with the cruise timing blocks. I'm running 47 degrees cruising at 65 mph.
Nah. Not buying it. He said it was running 'badly lean'. He said the ec calculator estimated 145 right now but it was actually 123. You took a poorly running motor and basically brought it back to spec and then add a little hp to it.

I have a 04 Silverado and it is rated at 200 hp, and a blazer is 01 rated at 190 and they feel everybit like 200hp and 190hp... Idk I think something might been restricting it like a catalac convertor or something.... Cause I don't have cats in either truck with stock intakes stock everything literally but the driver mod (pedal action😉)and I can get both to spin into second and it seems like the motor does well just seems like that one was a little on the lower side like I would think with a tune it could be around 200 to 210 maybe more since that's what tunes are for.

I think you missed something, proof is on the screen k bud, btw it has 168k on it. Point of the video is the 4.3 responds well to tuning
