Tommy Emmanuel talks guitars with Jason McNamara in Tokyo

  • If you enjoyed this also check out Episode #7 of my show "LIVE Streams with Famous Friends". Tommy did a 2+ Hour show with us and he plays a lot of guitar in it too.
In this video, Tommy Emmanuel gives some fantastic insight as to what it takes to become a truly great Guitar. He also shows by simply being himself, how being a good person is even more important than your talent level. Tommy & Jason from Ishibashi Music talk about Guitars, travel, Steve Lukather from Toto, Stuart Fraser, his love of Pedals, Fender Telecasters and his live band lineup which features Simon Hosford, Kevin Murphy, Ashley Crick & Robbie Little. I also surprised Tommy with a visit from Chris Grundy one of his old students from 25 years earlier.
Also I've been asked a few times, what is the tune Tommy plays at the end of the video. It's an old traditional Australia song called Waltzing Matilda. Here is a Wikipedia page about it...
    en.wikipedia.o...
IMPORTANT NOTICE: I no longer work for Ishibashi Music. This is here purely for entertainment and historical purposes.

Now that's a wonderful comment. Thank you. I agree wholeheartedly that when you're as good at something like Tommy is, there is no other way to be. He is the poster boy for what all people in his type of position should be as well as those aspiring to get to where he is. It was a wonderful afternoon spent with him, that's for sure.
      Cheers, Jason
