    I can honestly listen to TE all day long. Beyond Amazing Guitar Player, but even more amazing person. The epitome of a entertainer and a lovely guy. True Inspiration.

    "I never smiled so much in an interview". Haha felt the same when I saw his show, never smiled so much during a show. Incredible.

    His harmonics playing against fretted chords is incredible - controlled and accurate. One of his many mottos - 'Practice, practice ... and then some more practice'. A great, humble guy with an entertaining gift.

    That guitar sounds so good it's like having a warm blanket while you eat a fresh baked chocolate cookie with some ice cold milk.

    Every time Tommy asks "I pulled it back, do you see?" I have the same response...'uh no, I was too busy enjoying your playing..' A true master...

    Met him backstage a few years ago and he couldn't be a more gracious and humble soul. Spent a while with a very small group of us after a concert and never felt like he just wanted to get it over with. I will always cherish that moment.

    The 'pick part' before the interview - off, inapropriate. Tommy Emmanuel: how anyone can't love his playing and himself?! His playing is so complex, versatile and, most of all, beautiful. And, as a person (i had a great pleasure of meeting him, and i've met a few known people and celebrities who didn't leave a good impression), his is so warm, upbeat and friendly (yes, and smiley). He is on the level i can't even imagine in my head. It is a pleasure and blessing to hear him.

    I just want to be around this man whenever he jams... I've been playing for over 20 years... and what he does is simply magic. And not just technically... the emotion... I've never heard a guitar talk as eloquently as when in his hands. (Hmmm... Man crush? LOL)

    A song of idioms. He is the most learned player in the world, as well as one of the most exciting in the instrumental guitar standup world.

    He is a master. I can only hope to be a fraction as good as him someday, but the truth is I don't practice enough. I only have the time to practice one hour a day most days, but I find that I don't structure my practice that well. I'll choose playing songs over scales and music theory stuff so my understanding of music is still very limited.

    • @rogerbarreto2846
      @rogerbarreto2846 5 років тому

      Playing songs is the way to go, a little theory here and there, even Tommy Emmanuel says that he doesn't practice scales but only songs.

  • @morgansword
    @morgansword 7 років тому

    Some have it and others just make sound but good or bad, being compared to Tommy is kinda like trying to fit superman's shoes. I've been playing around with just about anything that has strings... mainly flat tops but as we all know until I made this comment, no one knew my name existed and Tommy Emmanuel is gold on strings.... playing a 6 string guitar and he breaks a couple strings.. well for Tommy it makes no difference cause he just keeps on going and it sounds better than anyone in the world.

    Appreciate Video clip! Sorry for butting in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you researched - Riddleagan Blossoming Solo Remedy (google it)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for mastering guitar scales minus the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my best friend Jordan finally got excellent results with it.
