As a rule of thumb (no regulation indicates anything), about 2-3.5m should be sufficient. But, it can be more also. There has no rule..it depends on the cross-section of the column. But for residential buildings, the max distance between 2 columns of 250 × 250 mm is 5 m

G+2 me 12x12 column me bhi 6 pcs T-12 se kam ho jayega ,bcoz ek side 3 steel but another side wala me gap bhut jyda nhi ho jayega , buckling khi na ho jye

For G+1 , steel bars 6, but middle columns experience higher load from four sides (slabs). to iski design alag honi chahiye.... I am mechanical engineer. Please clear it.

कॉलम की दूरी सोला फिट=बीम के लंबाई 16+9/12=16.75 fut span ,so banding movement high. ,shear stress ,bond stress safety need extra steel & more chances of seging of bem ,so span should safer side that is 12 ft only ,pl rechack your consumption of vDO.
