She actually remembered my mom from the previous year at the Alabama State Fair one year. She invited us backstage to meet her husband R.C. Bannon. We also met Johnny Paycheck and a few others. She is really nice.
anybody got "Some of my best friends are old songs" by this amazing singer? I have to agree, Louise is by far the most beautiful of the three Mandrell sisters. To me the 1980s is one of the best decades for country music but I am a child of the 80s so I am a bit prejudiced to that era.
Thank you for posting this great song by Louise. This was Louise's first actual solo top ten hit after the tv show and her duets with R.C. Bannon. I wish she will had more big hits like her sister, Barbara.
Thank you for poating this song, I have been looking for it for so long. Now, how bout "I'm Not Through Loving You Yet" These songs take me back to the mid 80's. I loved Louise's music
I have always loved Louise Mandrell. I think Louise is the prettiest and Barbara is the best singer and Irlene she was just cute. The World could use some more sisters like the Mandrells.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, for posting this song, I have been looking for this song for so long. Ok, now how bout "I'm Not Through Loving You Yet" Gosh, this takes me back to the mid 80's
When I first heard this on the radio in early 1983, I thought this sounded like a Charly McClain song. Charly might have recorded this in the late 70's. Louise Mandrell took this song to #6 on the Billboard country singles chart on 5-14-1983 and #1 on the Radio & Records country singles chart on 4-22-1983.
I love it. I was 10 in 80 and remember mandrel sisters and Barbara. I think Barabara was in a bad car wreck? But never listened to them. Any other good songs by Louise u can recommend?
Yes my kind woman also shania Twain, olivia collingswortn, then jodie Foster right gorgures women have ever knew for country singers plus shows like jodie foster.
I am amazed i found this song not knowing the title.. I loved this song when it was new, haven't heard it in years... I was always amused by the charm the pants off of you line.... Why should a guy have to charm the pants off a woman.... Why not take your pants off voluntarily... It would make being human so much easier and way more fun.... Predivorce paranoia On you tube... That's how relationships end up for me..
I prefer the original by Irish lass Clodagh Rodgers, recorded in 1976 - written by Guy Fletcher and Doug Flett. Slightly different lyrics from the British version but the same tune.
My father made me listen to an Irish program on Saturdays in the 70's.. At first i hated it, Then I got to know the songs and the names of the singers and bands.. Later I would find out many of the bands were local to Boston... A lot of the songs were old pop and rock and roll songs I had not yet heard.. My father became friends with Noel Henry who had a night club down the cape... Later in bands, when they played Irish songs, I knew them... I don't recall hearing this song on the Irish radio program... Irish music preceded my getting into country music.... Predivorce paranoia.. On you tube.. 19 songs i wrote..
