Jetzt bin ich 59 Jahre alt, aber dieser Song wirft mich in meine Jugend zurück...! Ach, war das toll - wo ist die Zeit nur geblieben? Ist schon faszinierend, dass ich mich jetzt wie meine Großeltern anhöre! 😂

I guess this song will always remind me of the girl I was on vacation with recently. I only met her once before, then booked the trip and 2 weeks later we were off. She played this song several times during our road trip through the United States. It was a wonderful time 😊.

Oh my very good goodness! As a very young boy I was madly in love with all of these girls. Later I met a lady, Debby Hall-Reace, who apparently taught Cindy English at school - we had a good laugh. Still a BRILLIANT song!
This band and this song in particular had a remarkable influence on my own musical development: when the singer came in with the first words, I would sing along as if an echo effect had already been turned on ""save me-me-me" like they did on "moonlight-light-light-light"(which today we call a delay), and I would also mimick a wah-pedal when singing those words without even knowing what that effect was then, and I always wondered why the musicians themselves had not included these effects in their final version of the first line. In retrospect, it was the beginning of my own songwriting today.
I love the performance and the song, i do indeed know it from the paste, amazing these people were from South Africa. Because of South Africa, the must have help from producers from the Netherlands? or was this totally on there own power and with maybe Britisch Studio help?
