I wonder, how does the mic sound compared to the one on the Kinera Gramr? Not that I'm on the market for one, I already own the Gramr, but the cable is nicer, smoother, and it comes with a foam cover for the mic. I'm asking because some people might run across both products and ask which is better.
Great question: The answer has to do with ground sharing and audio. The short version is the more a cable shares a ground in TRRS (single cable) the more likely you'll have a lot of weird problems. You can see this if you look up reviews of, say, the Turtle Beach Battle Buds where people complain about crosstalk, echos, line noise, etc. By leaving the TRS lines separate until the very end you radically reduce the odds of experiencing these audio problems. You do get more bulk though, everything is a trade-off.

IEMs with a gaming mic. I think that's a new one on me. I like the option of just the mic attachment too! And the mic sounds great!
