I *really* like your new approach to painting videos. Quick, snappy and with multiple shots in frame showing techniques across different parts of the model, really great stuff!
Absolutely love this approach to filming your video its fast, straight to the point, no wasted effort. After all, we've got crusades and enemies to persecute! Overall look is, personally, a little too clean for me, but no one could argue with the quality of the work, damn good job!
Hey dude! Sorry for commenting on an old video. Just found this & it’s my first time seeing some of your content. I wanted to say thanks for the great tutorial - definitely a quick ‘n’ easy subscription for me. 😄 I really appreciate the amount you talk; you never move so quickly that it’s difficult to follow, but there’s no waffle, either. Big thumbs up - can’t wait to see more!
This was a really cool way of doing black. I'm building a chaos knight rampager and I want to paint him all black too with red highlights. I was looking for a good way to paint black armor and this is genuinely a nice finish.
What an amazing tutorial, the edit style means you can focus on things as you rewatch when painting, brilliant! That red is gorgeous as well, might have to try that on a few Marine models.
Great vid. Like the new style, though I do miss the paints list at the start, as I like to use it to check my stock to see what I might need to buy/have in my stash.
Been looking forward to this! Can’t wait to see the rest of the templars painted! Also would you perhaps do the ork boss in mega armor as I haven’t seen many orks from you.
@@ThePaintingCoach Looks great! Please keep the camera settings for future videos. I actually even checked my video settings to see why it was so sharp and clear :)
@@ThePaintingCoach yeah. Doing the limited edition models may be good for the channel though. Especially if you want to use a little different techniques than from your original tutorial. They just dropped a new Christmas Ork model. I’ll definitely be on the lookout for tutorials specifically for that or for the other limited/collectible models as they come out. Just an idea.
Great video, very helpful indeed. My army had a similar colour to the black templars and this has been fantastic for ideas. How did you do your base and do you have any videos on basing? Cheers
Would you kindly do a vid in the same style for an Ultramarine dreadnought? I know you have done vids before for the Ultramarines, I thought it would be a nice complementary vid to this one for all us Blu Boys fans out here. Cheers in advance and keep 'em coming.
I have the issue with the Abaddon Black not adhering on Leadbelchter base coats all the time. I've found that a layer of Black Templar Contrast paint over the leadbelchter adheres better on the first coat. Then Abaddon Black over the Black Templar gives me far fewer issues.
I held it up next to the knee pad and guestimated it to be honest. You could also measure it, or perhaps more simply have a look at the GW box art and count how many links are present - hope that helps!
There is no colour in the Citadel range (at least at today), called "Chrome". What colour in the current Citadel range should one use as a substitute for your "chrome"?
hey got a question maybe you can answer it, is there a difference between the Blood Angel Death Intercessors and the Blood Angels Primaris Intercessors models? If the Death company were painted red, could somebody tell they're death company or are they the same models? I just can't find any big box of B.A. Primaris Intercessors just the death company ones.
This was mint. Making me wanna strip my dreadnought and give it a go hahahaha. Question though have you got a variant or idea of how to do this with a model that has the hellblasters cannon instead? Or not yet ☺️
@@ThePaintingCoach excellent. I’ve been trying to get the hellblasters plasma effect down to a crisp for a while but not sure how to do it so if at some point you do a guide on if imma defo gonna be druelling hahaha
Ok... Since you can’t get the indimit... something captain individually, is it possible to get the royal warden individually (from like games workshop, not some weird Russian store) or is it only Available in the recruit box thing?
@@ThePaintingCoach well thanks. And that’s also a bummer. Since I don’t really wanna order for eBay. Don really know why. But hey 30 dollars isn’t that much so maybe I’ll by the box at one point but not now. Thanks again
at the begining and end you exclude the back of the model when it is turntabling very frustating for when im trying to see if ive missed any of the things you leave out during the video

Fantastic tutorial as always, I’ve been asking you for a Dreadnought for ages so really happy as I’ve just got my templars box.
Cheers Lee

I love the pose you did for the dreadnought!
Thanks!
That looks so awesome. Knights and dreadnoughts are awesome in the lore and in model form

7 min quick guide on BT Redemptor? *The Crusade approves bruva!* Cant wait to try this out on my Redemptors, Centurions and Land Raiders ❤
Enjoy!
That rock! 🤩 Another great video, love the specific instructions for highlighting small details, very helpful.
Cheers mate
Painted my first BT redemptor with this vid, thanks so much! :) (the contrast paints for the lights was a great tip btw!)
Awesome glad it helped!
@@ThePaintingCoach Where did you get the shoulder BT decals from? I just realized my upgrades and transfer box doesn't contain them... :(
The decals came in the army release box

Great video, your editing skills have come along way too 👍. I always like how you shorten time with application steps, saving on painting time.
Thanks for the feedback!
Great video. Love the new editing this one was a little slower than the other I thought it was great!
Thanks Rick!
amazing job brother. 🫡
I am first and i want to say, that it is fantastic!! Your painting lessons are very cool! So keep it up!
Thanks!
Excellent tutorial. Out of interest, I use incubi darkness as the first chunky highlight. The lens look great, thanks.
Thanks! There isn't a huge amount of difference between them, incubi is more green
@@ThePaintingCoach yes. I only do it that way since i saw it in the gw app. Ive started that way now, so ill keep going, heheh
Makes sense - pretty sure I used that for black legion!
You sound EXACTLY like Gerard Butler!!! Great paint job too!!!!

Great tutorial mate!
Thanks 👍🏻
nice video and good results!
Thanks Tom 👍🏻
I could listen to you say purity seals all day
Massive help cheers man, still need the Marshall though 😂
Glad you enjoyed it - probably not gonna get round to the marshal - check my GK tutorial for robes
looks dope

Why is the dread falling backwards? Great paintjob! Tutorial is nice clean and the vid quality is amazing!
Thanks - he's stood on a rock arm outstreched flaming something
How did you know how much of the "chain-transfer to use? Did you just measure the plate and cut the transfer? Never really used them before :)

Black Templar 👍🏻

Stormhost silver
