- Hey Horse Lovers! Kyle and I went to the MT. PLEASANT HORSE AUCTION (Yoder Bros Sale)! Their fall sale was full of beautiful horses but a few in particular stood out! We found some stunning grey horses that were so sweet. well trained and built nice! We saw so many kind, beautiful horses at this sale and many of them were TEMPTING us to bid and buy. In this video we will show you as many horses as we can, point out what we see, tell you what we like, and show you some of the prices. This auction was in Michigan and is held 2x per year! Knowing the trainer of the two greys, I think that was a pretty fair price! Lovely to see well trained and obviously loved horses
I'm always so impressed that Kyle seems to gravitate to the baby horses.

Shae just had a idea. White horses get sunburns. Make a sunblock for there nose and ears. You know all burn spots.

I use zinc based diaper cream on my horse’s white areas that tend to burn in our southern climate. It prevents sunburn, doesn’t wash off in the rain, and has healing properties.

Shae you are definitely in your element at these auctions. Your face so lit with energy and excitement and your eyes sparkle. I woke up in a low mood this morning and after watching this video my mood perked up. My creative mode has kicked in and I feel confident I am going to have a great productive day.

I love how confident Shae walks into these auctions. Her posture is perfect and her eyes are always scanning and assessing. But she stops to always offer a kind word or pet to the cute or sad ones. Shes such an inspiration.

I agree with you, the big gray was off on the left front. Hard to know if he was on Bute. I love the auction videos. I mentally spent about $120,000 😆.

That Friesian cross was stunning.
I absolutely love how you point out the good points as well as some of the flaws in the confirmation of the horses. You are helping so many people, including myself, get better at seeing the horse as a whole and having a better grasp of what to look for.

The two horses together were gorgeous -18,500- high but so worth it. I would have been sooo tempted!!!

Oh darn, I saw too many I liked too. I agree about the grays, so I would stick to the darker colored horses or the paints. This was an interesting auction video. The little one at the ending that Kyle was scratching was adorable. Can't wait for the next one because I love seeing all of the horses. Happy trails to you and God bless.

I love your auction videos. It brings back many warm memories of my childhood. My dad would take me to auctions. My barrel racing horse came from an auction. I loved that horse.
Loved the auction, Loved those Grey horses. They were Beautiful, and trained really good. They didn't flinch at anything . They were really high, but probably worth it. Maybe next time. Can't wait till next video. Thanks so much.

REMEMBER that was the bid that won, if Shae or anyone else had bid it could have gone higher. I discovered years ago that it's not the person who bids the last that sets the price it's the last person who quits bidding. In other words, if I quit before the other bidder has reached his/her limit, I'm the one that sets the price as I quit and the winner would only have to bid a few dollars more to get the horse. But no one knows that when it is going on. One auction that I wanted to buy some used corral panels, I couldn't be there on sale day so I arranged for the auction house bid for me. Here in my state that's perfectly legal. The people that quit bidding was expecting that I would just pick the ones I wanted and they would bid on the rest. However, I wanted them ALL! The ones that quit were really mad when they found that out. (The auctioneers told me later about it...)
I loved Ace, but that was a big price for an auction horse! I'm sure he was worth it, though!!

I truly love following along at the auctions you guys go to ... I love listening and looking at what you look for in horses and it's fun to see which ones you and Kyle are attracted to the most. I agreed with Kyle that if you had more room it would have been so sweet to take that momma and colt home with you. Kyle has such a very soft spot for animals, even if he is more of a car guy ... LOL!! I'm getting very excited to hear/see what it is that you have coming up for us ... that little hint at the beginning has me on the edge of my seat!

The white draft horse is so beautiful and it seems like you connected the same way you connected with Naveen seeing the way he bought his head in to you for a hug. He has a bit of the same puppy-like quality. He seemed to really enjoy the nose kisses, too. And he's a big boy, which I love.

I love how you wait for everything to align right. It shows that there's an element of spiritual intervention that goes along with this. It also shows how wonderful horses are in general because it's so easy to connect with them. Other than dogs, I really don't see this in other animals. Well, maybe your pig. 😊

Yes a couple of my cats over the years have been very protective, very intuitive regarding my feelings, or just attached to me. Then there are others who are pretty much removed, except at mealtime. LOL. L
The grays were gorgeous and well trained and enjoyed watching the duo presentation. I know the pressure just builds over the day, and if you are not 300% into a horse, it's easy to pass. Best of luck with all the projects, Shae and Kyle. Another lovely presentation today.

Thanks for taking us along. I was sad that Ace went for so much, and I also loved the other grey(?). But I was sad that Marshmellow wasn't what you were hoping for. I loved his demeanor. (But realize that I know little to nothing about horses, but am fascinated with them).
He just seemed to connect so well with Shae. She has a good eye for concerns. 😊 L
I’m just gonna throw out my guess that Mushu might have a potential new family…that would be something in the works “changes”.

I'd noticed as well. Have to say I watched the all the Prince Charming videos this morning, it was heartbreaking and with what's going on with Belle, it wouldn't really be a good idea to take the risk. If you love animals as much as Shae obviously does, you invest a lot emotionally, there's only so much at one time you can cope with. I think after Jiminey's recent emergency, trying to find a new property as well, the time isn't right, right now.
. I saw that left front also. Yes the issues Shae has experienced with Prince Charming & now Belle have been heartbreaking. She & Kyle do have a lot on their plates. 😊 L

I have watched you guys go to many auctions over the last couple of years. I have to say that the Amish have received the message, in that the horses they are offering these days are very well trained, in good shape, have had proper hoof care and are being bred to appeal to what people have been getting into over the last several years. Colors, crosses of all sorts, ponies safe for ones children and more. I am not going to look at the ending but if you are going to bid on any I say go with what you know, and the trainers whom you have already bought from. I will add to comment when this is over. The big grey that was in the ring with the smaller one was a very nice horse if big is what one is looking for. Someone obviously thought the same as he did sell for a big price.! I wonder Shae if you ever look at private sales when your looking for "just the right one". I know Lumi was private sale and unfortunately you did not get ALL the info as you have since told us so buying private can be a journey of faith as well as buying at auction. Again, I think you might keep looking , possibly get in touch with the people whom you have already bought from. I would think that would take the guesswork out of things. Naveen and Beauty both show that they were raised properly with love and solid training.
Amish are not supposed to be on internet at all, so it's not likely they know what alot of us are thinking. 😢

I appreciated all your choices as possible fits for FSE Stables; the 2 Grays, the Pinto, like Naveen and saw what horses reacted well you both and that caught your eyes!!’ But I m glad you said no to all, especially bc of the high selling prices. At this time at FSE with so much going on I think your instincts will be the final decider when the next right horse to mesh and enhance the programs will show up at the right time. I believe you are progressing well and following your visions and growing steadily positively and upwardly and this Dream lifestyle takes years. To achieve so much positivity in 5/6 years or so, shows you are taking the right steps, very aware of your needs and wants to further your mission. Shae and Kyle you are an amazing steadfast, loving, nurturing, energetic couple. The pace you are going right now seems to be going well. Especially as you could even speculate on adding another horse anytime soon. Kudos to you both!!!

Those greys were outstanding horses, worth every penny! That chonky paler one, I agree, something on his foot. And his barrel was sooo round compared to his short body, just odd looking build. He was a sweety though, I hope he found a good home! ❤

Mount Pleasant brings back fond memories. I graduated 42 years ago from Carson City crystal high school as an exchange student from Sweden. When I was back one year later I did some riding because the family I stayed with had some horses. Don't remember what kind they were, not a horse person just LOVE animals. We did do some trail riding and such.

Shae, I have to admit that you auction videos are my favorite, You give me more insight in what horses are a good option and point out the ones that have issues. I'm past the age of having any of my own, but did have them for 50 years.🐎😍

That was fun! I liked the mare who went for $10K … I think she was the best out of the three (those two grey geldings that were auctioned one after the other).
Also looking forward to the upcoming news that may or may not fall into place. It would be awesome if you had an opportunity for more land from a neighbouring farm… less moving parts, so to speak. However, it might be exciting to move to a new farm too!
