He didn’t go to New York for Rachel. He didn’t retire for Ashley. But he took that desk job for Lucy despite making jabs about desk jobs since season 1. That boy is in love.
Forgot he didn't took the first job of sergeant at other stations because of Lucy when he was her TO, he told Lucy he need to finish training her "his rookie"...
For those who are worried Tim is giving up so much for Lucy. I think Lucy is the reason Tim still has a career to begin with. When she met him he was in a downward spiral after everything that happened with his ex wife. She stopped him from doing something really stupid. Lucy in many ways saved him from himself and made him a better person and officer. Lucy didn't ask Tim to give up anything. He chose to do it. Because he wanted too. If she had asked him, then yes I'd say resentment would come into play. But she didn't ask him. She was the one who helped study for his sergeant test and totally supported him. She was also the one who offered to change stations. He's the one who decided to take steps to stay without her input. Tim seems to know what he wants. And that's a future with Lucy. He doesn't want to go all day without seeing her and possibly all night. Yes, he's making a sacrifice for their relationship to have a chance to grow and ultimately be end game. Let's not forget that Tim is older then Lucy. Further into his career and in a different place. I think he knows what he wants. It's her. And that's all that matters to him. The man is in love.
I totally agree with you. I just went back and watched parts of season one and it is amazing how much Tim has changed. A lot of it has to do with Lucy. She has helped him overcome a lot from his pain about his ex wife to his trauma about his father. He is so much softer and more open now thanks to her. The wonderful natural development of their relationship is the thing that I love most about the show.
Point blank periodt! It baffles me how anyone could question their commitment to each other but also the sacrifices they have BOTH made for one another even before being romantically involved. Despite Tim's reluctance to call her his partner while they rode together in the shop, they are a true partnership in every sense of the word. Those who are criticizing the move dont understand what a true partnership is and/or have some serious internalized misogyny to work through.
Tim is older than Lucy has been through the ranks and understands now that he put so much into his police career, he missed out on true intimacy and happiness from a healthy relationship. He knows Lucy is young with a great career path ahead so he's willing to be flexible. Plus he's head over heels in love with Lucy.
This right here is so true and all these thoughts have crossed my mind… he is older and he has been a cop longer and yes he was in a downward spiral more rookies of his washed out then they made it… I think he was at the end of his rope and when Lucy came into the picture things started changing he started becoming more of a person and less robot. Underneath it all he has a good heart and all she did was bring it back… and to honest she gave him a run for his money… and all he wants for her is to excel and succeed ❤ cuz he loves her and his future is her
I was thinking the same thing too when people complained about it. Tim is at least 10 years older than Lucy with a far longer career lived out compared to her. (In real life, for anyone wondering, Eric and Melissa have a 12-year age gap.) He's a war veteran, been an officer, a training offer, and a sergeant. Lucy still has more potential to live up to and Tim wants her to succeed. I can see Tim being in a place where he doesn't mind settling down into a healthy relationship and just enjoying that connection. We all know how his first marriage ended -- he wants a chance again at a real future with someone who challenges him and brings out his good side. When Tim told her, "It doesn't matter" when she said he'll be bored now, I LOVED Eric's facial acting. Tim meant it; he just wants a future with Lucy and to support her however he can.
Swoon worthy. The way this was written and acted was just *chefs kiss*. The surety Tim has when telling Grey how it’s serious and in agreeing to take whatever job, and in how he just steps up and does the hard thing so Lucy’s career isn’t affected, is so beautifully in character and yet shows a whole new facet of Tim.
@@haidermalik5744 What we trying to say is, He wants to see and near to Lucy everyday. And desk job is equivalent to retirement of Police Heavy Work/battle. Ashley wants him to retire being police so he can't die from gun shot
@@LJE1821Not really a retirement tho, even if his everyday job doesn't require him to be out in the field doesn't mean he won't be called in if a serious issue pops up because he's still in the LAPD.
He took a desk job for her….I can’t. Tim knows she’s the one and was willing to do whatever he needed for them to be together at the same station. He’s so in love with her 😭 I love LOVE!
In my opinion, this is the best ship I’ve ever witnessed. The writing, acting, just everything about it has been absolutely spot on. Ugh I ADORE them ❤
This is such a wholesome and truly romantic gesture from Tim ‘married to his job’ Bradford. He’s always been soft for Lucy but this was on another level 🫶🫶🫶 Also, I love seeing how Chenford’s dynamic has changed as well. Before it was more like a longing but now they’re full on dating and in love
That DOOR SLAM at the end though!!! Such a perfect #CHENFORD moment!!!!! The fact that Sgt. Grey “suspected” it aka knew lol!!!! The love they both feel and have for each other! 😍 Tim knows she’s the one and so does Lucy! Their risk is totally worth it!🥰Can’t wait for the reaction of the rest of the team!!!
I love how the writers are developing Chenford. I love this scene with Grey because It shows that Tim is really decided to be with Lucy at all costs. I hope they continue having this wonderful relationship forever. #ChenfordEndgame #Chenford
Me too! They didn't do a hook up, awkward, on and off thing, the writers wrote their relationship in a healthy way. They are always sure of each other, no drama. I love it!
Yes. In most of the comments people are saying this shows Lucy and us how IN Tim is, how seriously he is taking this. But I haven't really seen anything about what his actions are saying to Grey. Maybe that's what you are saying, but I'm going to say it, too. It's one thing for a police officer to ask to be removed from the Chain of Command of their par amour but that request would probably have limits. Tim, TIM, someone who has said repeatedly that he distains desk jobs, someone who thought about the NYPD but after learning that he'd basically be a Boot again eliminated that option right off. Here he says he doesn't care what the job is, he doesn't even wait to hear what the job is before he commits to the new job. And Grey would know all this. He knows Tim. They've worked together for a lot of years. The seriousness of his demeanor as he makes the request, alone, is telling, much less his response to Grey's answer. And Grey knows Lucy; he knows her desire to be a UC, knows how closely she's working with Nyla... And knowing this and Tim's history... But he also knows Lucy and her ability to communicate and engage and connect with people. Regardless of any romantic outcome, he's seen the friendship develop between Tim and Lucy and how that has changed Tim. I think that with this conversation alone Grey is already anticipating that Tim and Lucy will go the distance.
Tim really is a selfless man, and this is in line with his character. He covered up Isabel’s addiction, he considered moving to NY for Rachel, and he did this so Lucy wouldn’t be treated as a newbie in another station. He’s amazing!
I swear all of the little details/Chenford moments put into this episode are everything!! And it's not even a midseason or season finale. They were a quarter of the screen time for this episode and I am living for it. 💕💕💕 - Lucy and Tim struggling to not hold hands as they were walking in - Lucy looking Tim up and down as he walks through the station door - Chenford still being playful and continuing pranks (Lucy Lessons) even once together - Lucy calling herself Tim's girlfriend and saying this is the best relationship she's been in - Tim saying this is a serious relationship to Grey (and Grey not even questioning it like he did when Tim asked about NYPD for Rachel) - Lucy pulling lint off Tim's uniform - Tim carrying the war bags - The hug when Tim visits Lucy at her apartment - Neither one of them even considering breaking up- it was just assumed one of them would leave the station - Lucy saying it should be her who leaves (Tim finally has someone who puts him first) - Tim taking a desk job so he can still see Lucy every day - Tim putting his hand on the wall so Lucy didn't hit her head - Lucy eyeing Tim up as he takes his shirt off - Tim never looking away from Lucy's face as he takes his shirt off - The makeup team adding a spinal scar at the bottom of Tim's back (in addition to two other scars- not sure if added or are the actor's)
It was a top notch Chenford episode with so many great moments!! Re the scar, Eric has talked about in his podcast with his wife that he has had multiple back surgeries, so that is probably a real scar. The others I think were added for his character.
I never expected this. 😳 Wow! It's a 180-degree-change of character for Tim and without Lucy requesting anything. 😍 Well done writers and also well played by the actors. Oh and I love how Grey confirmed the speculation of so many Chenford-shippers that he knew or at least suspected them dating. Also that he gave them the chance to come clean without push or confront them. 👍 YES for season 6! 🙋♀️
In an effort to stay close to Lucy Chen, Timothy Bradford, who LIVES PATROLING, LEFT IT without even thinking twice. If this isn't LOVE then what is?😭 (I am ugly crying) Hopefully, the showrunners will not screw their relationship in any way or form. I mean they have been through enough heartbreak. I want Tim & Lucy to stay ALIVE, HAPPY, AND TOGETHER.🙏
Tim has always been able to separate his personal life from the job. No personal talk in the shop. But not with what he feels for Lucy. And he gave up being on patrol where real police work happens that he loves for the one that he loves. This really should tell her and everyone who knows him how much he loves her.
This is my comfort show for the past few years! I love everything about it! The writing, the characters, the storylines, and all the crazy police stuff they do! The love I have for Chenford is 💖 also Yay for Angela and her man!
Those of us that watch Rookie’s from day one, understand exactly what’s going on just knowing how they have developed as T.O/Rookie what Lucy has done for Tim to get to where he’s at and he’s Career, now he is willing to step up and do the same for Lucy. These two are in love and making it happen for themselves to be happy ❤
Thanks Rookie writers for this and acted beautifully! Hope Tim can somehow still get involved in the action maybe with Elijah if he’s Court Liaison Sergeant! He’s not meant to be behind a desk!
Elijah could be kill and might to blame at the police station of his death.. or bad drug Watamala women be bad kill him . Elijah could harm someone close from the station... better Elijah get bad to prison lock up into a dark room forever.
OMG! Tim’s character is so beautiful… and that act from him was so pure!!! Goes to show the extent to which people will go for their loved ones. Glad it all went well! Team #Chenford❤❤
This feels bittersweet because I definitely don't want to stop seeing Tim on patrol, but I like that he made the decision because on a lot of shows there have been big arguments because someone considers their career or job more important than the other person's
I started from season 5 as that’s all we had in my country at the time. But that’s only after Chenford videos kept popping up on YT and I recognised Eric Winter from Brothers and Sisters.
Ah! Yes! Initially I felt like this scene was a little rushed. I felt like they could have taken a little bit more time talking, cuddling, kissing, touching, moving slowly toward intimacy, but plenty of 🔥🔥. But after rewatching it *several* times I’m happy with how eager they were to move things forward. I hope we get to see a morning after scene though - pillow talk, cuddling, kissing, talking about his new job, etc. Don’t leave us all hanging! And I’d love a scene at some point in time where Tim is caressing her DOD tattoo, and they talk about how that day changed things for them.
THANKS writer (s). Even though Tim & Ashley 's break-up was untimely and cruel, Tim didn't endure any trauma. Whereas, Lucy had to deal with hurting Chris's feelings, fear of a relationship with Tim, & Tim's teasing. It's heart warming to see Tim without a second's hesitation accept a job without knowing what it was. When he found out, he said "doesn't matter." Happy Tim sacrificed for their love. Lucy is truly Tim's Achilles's heel. Lucy Lessons so cute....❣️
I think Grey admired Tim for what he did for Lucy and he saw how committed he was to her. He knew that he didn’t do anything for any of the other girls he dated but took the job without even knowing what it was for Lucy.
I love how tim just takes the job without thinking and I love how Lucy didn’t ask or push him to change his job he did it himself so she could have a career. I think he also did it because he is older than Lucy and has had a long career however Lucy is still young and has her entire career in front of her.
I was really mad about Dark Matter being cancelled it was a great show. I am saying this because I love Melissa O'Neil she was great but Lucy Chin has won my heart also. The rookie is a great show
I really loved seeing the different sides of her between Dark Matter & Rookie. I love Melissa O'Neil, too! ♥️ Yes I also bummed when Dark Matter was cancelled
@@bluejay4620 I have heard two different stories about Dark Matter. One is saying the rating where low I don't believe that. The other is the Syfy channel didn't own the exclusive rights of the show
I love love love the fact that after so many seasons we fans finally get to see our FAVS in love!!! Yo if they don’t get married in the show, I will be so annoyed! These were meant to be! That chemistry and how he gets when he’s with Lucy is too cute! ❤
I love CHENFORD!!! However, I wish that they showed more of the process of them finding out that the other person like them. I feel like we missed a scene, cuz it almost seemed like all of a sudden they knew how the other one felt. I’m so glad that they are finally together though!!
I felt like that too at first. But really all of season 5 has been leading up to this: Tim saying "it doesn't feel like pretend" while they're undercover, the obvious chemistry of those undercover kisses... Tim worrying about Lucy when he's in the hospital... telling her she deserves someone who's worth the effort and questioning her on her feelings for Chris....they're on such a level that they've been talking about it without saying it, so that when they have that conversation outside of the station they're just finally voicing it all.
H edidn't walk for Rachel, he didn't retiure for Ashley. I agree with the gentlemen down in the comments when he said that Lucy is the reason Tim is still around. I agree with him. After all the aggravation and insanity with his ex-wife. Lucy gave Tim a future. She made him believe again. She was gentle with him, she encouraged him and she was there for him, for every moment of every day. She was the steadfast rock in a turbulent ocean that he needed.
I love Tim's interaction with Grey here. If you watch closely, Grey had a ghost of a smile when Tim told him. Grey knew they were moving that way (he's the division dad) and he was happy for them, but also understanding of why Tim waited to say anything.
Ok. You know what this means. Next episode everyone will find out. And according to the 5x13 episode summary they (Lucy and Harper) apparently will try to rescue Tim from this desk job. I hope there will be a ton of The Rookie humor. 😆 This week's episode was also 🤌 and I don't mean just Tim and Lucy. Wesley and Angela will get major screentime next this season with the Elijah drama evolving. God, that lawyer, Wesley's ex...🤬
I’ve watching this probably 1000 times now 😅😍 but I notice something new every time. Anyone else notice how badly Gray fumbled the pen at the very beginning? 😂
Love this couple/show! I hope they do a chenford wedding/pregnancy announcement or if it continues, have them become parents. 🙏 Please renew for season 6 & 7!
An act of true love. I think this is a twist in the script to give emotion, Tim will be a sergeant again.. Perhaps this change of work has to do with the return of Cris to their lives, I do not know why I think that Cris is related to Rosalind, I will never forget how Cris whispered the song, everything remains in the imagination ..🤔🤔🤔🤔.. Love Chenford😍😍😍😍
I swear that if something happens to Chenford I'll be so, so mad!!! They're perfect They telling Gray, was something I was dreading 'cause I thought it could end in a breakup but I'm happy how ths showrunners have been handling this so please, don' t disapppoint us!
Bradford has a thing for getting with his co-workers, first Isabel, now Lucy, yes he did date Rachel and Ashley but those weren't really solid relationships, Isabel he married and him and Lucy went through so much together from being her TO to saving and caring for her from Caleb and Roslyn
Hands down gone. I'm gone I tell ye 😍😍 Seriously #Chenford I can't cope with the feels that are bouncing around my heart and brain. I need to lie down. WHEN IS SERIES 5 AIRING IN THE UK 🇬🇧? You are killing me hulu, killing me!!!
Look, I love that they finally got together and how their relationship is evolving, but I don't know what to do with "nice Tim". It's throwing me off. I need him grumpy now and again.
I discontinued my Hulu subscription and then got it back when the rookie returned. And even upgraded to premium so I didn’t have to wait for the will they or won’t they cliff hangers. 😂 #chenford #endgame
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 oh Chenford, it's been a very slow burn for 5 years but dang was it worth it. And how he said "that doesn't matter" 🥹 no regrets, all in. I love a healthy, no drama depiction of a relationship on television. At first I was sad they didn't hook up that day when they returned from being undercover but totally glad they didn't and started the relationship the proper healthy way when both were single.
Hopefully this court liason job doesn't put Tim in total crosshairs with Chris. Totally convinced Chris was working for Rosalind. She killed all others and spared Chris. Hoping Chris doesn't come seeking his revenge.
This is a great show!!! It was great seeing Molly Quinn again with Nathan Fillion. I love them 2 together again. In fact we have seen people from firefly and castle on this show.

I’ve watched this multiple times. It gets better every time.
Love how this played out. Grey is awesome and I love #Chenford ❤
OMG! Tim’s character is so beautiful… and that act from him was so pure!!! Goes to show the extent to which people will go for their loved ones. Glad it all went well! Team #Chenford❤❤
I love him he loyalty ❤❤❤❤❤ thank you Tim for telling him that
This feels bittersweet because I definitely don't want to stop seeing Tim on patrol, but I like that he made the decision because on a lot of shows there have been big arguments because someone considers their career or job more important than the other person's
Bro they better not mess this up. Or else I will riot
I’m unhealthily obsessed with Chenford 🙈😭😂🥰
Me too.
SAME. I have watched all these clips waaayyyyy too much...
I started to watch this series from the very beginning and never bores me. Hope productors hang on with this quality.
Amen to all of that. ❤
Her DOD tattoo is gone, she had an appointment for a removal, remember.
She take te tatoo of ? I cant see yet if she does or not
But I thing it would be a bit too much for this show.
Yaaaaaaas!!!!!
You have to admire greys acting here. He did the wise authority figure perfectly. So much nuance.
Well what should I say Lucy is absolutely worth it she is beautiful kind humble sweet open hearted the person I would fall in love in real life
I hope we get a Rookie wedding 💕💕💕
these two together! who would have imagined it in the beginning??
THANKS writer (s). Even though Tim & Ashley 's break-up was untimely and cruel, Tim didn't endure any trauma. Whereas, Lucy had to deal with hurting Chris's feelings, fear of a relationship with Tim, & Tim's teasing. It's heart warming to see Tim without a second's hesitation accept a job without knowing what it was. When he found out, he said "doesn't matter." Happy Tim sacrificed for their love. Lucy is truly Tim's Achilles's heel. Lucy Lessons so cute....❣️
Regardless ashley did him dirty doing it right after surgery
Sgt Grey internally : I was right! Where's the betting pool?
I think Grey admired Tim for what he did for Lucy and he saw how committed he was to her. He knew that he didn’t do anything for any of the other girls he dated but took the job without even knowing what it was for Lucy.
The wait for Chenford to happen was definitely worth it 😭🤍
The fact that Tim took the job before he even knew what position it is. It doesn't matter because of Lucy 🥺💖 I'm gonna cry.
Damn their chemistry is 🥵🥵🥰🫶🏽
I love how tim just takes the job without thinking and I love how Lucy didn’t ask or push him to change his job he did it himself so she could have a career. I think he also did it because he is older than Lucy and has had a long career however Lucy is still young and has her entire career in front of her.
Standing up for your girl good for u😊
every new episode i'm like...wow. we wonnnnn
Ahhhh can’t wait to catch up on this episode tomorrow!!.! amazing show amazing funny romance!!!! Love it
Oooooh noooo you cut it at the best part! 😂 Hope that full scene is being uploaded soon 😏🔥🔥
What scene all they do is walk into a room then the show is over
@@ethenstokes7608 🤣🤣🤣
I was really mad about Dark Matter being cancelled it was a great show. I am saying this because I love Melissa O'Neil she was great but Lucy Chin has won my heart also. The rookie is a great show
Rookie Fed NOT SO GREAT. POOR CASTING
The other is the Syfy channel didn't own the exclusive rights of the show
Loved every part of this
Oh, cut short...You're killing me here!!! Lol
I love love love the fact that after so many seasons we fans finally get to see our FAVS in love!!! Yo if they don’t get married in the show, I will be so annoyed! These were meant to be! That chemistry and how he gets when he’s with Lucy is too cute! ❤
That’s great you took the first step on your relationship with Lucy that means in love 👍 right move Tim . ❤
It was cool to see Bradford said what he did at the end, because Lucy is all about arguing to where she can't do anything else.
Lol that’s true, it’s it 😂
OMG he's love her so much 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 he he Grey always know 😄😄😄😄
I like how the writers are developing for Chenford. 😊😊😊😊
Wow! You don’t loose any chances Tim you go now . Love makes do crazy stuff. ❤👍😊
She was the steadfast rock in a turbulent ocean that he needed.
love how all this has been given
I love Tim's interaction with Grey here. If you watch closely, Grey had a ghost of a smile when Tim told him. Grey knew they were moving that way (he's the division dad) and he was happy for them, but also understanding of why Tim waited to say anything.
Immediately he was like yeah it's serious and it's only been like 2 weeks since they started dating
Ok. You know what this means. Next episode everyone will find out. And according to the 5x13 episode summary they (Lucy and Harper) apparently will try to rescue Tim from this desk job. I hope there will be a ton of The Rookie humor. 😆
This week's episode was also 🤌 and I don't mean just Tim and Lucy.
It’s SERIOUS!!!
I really hope the season will be good through out the second half and the TV series will be renewed for another one. Or a couple of them
I love them so much!!! They are have to be the most popular couple in the Internet!!!!
They're perfect
They telling Gray, was something I was dreading 'cause I thought it could end in a breakup but I'm happy how ths showrunners have been handling this so please, don' t disapppoint us!
Love 💕 this can't wait to see more of them
EVERY TIME MAN EVERY TIME GOSSEBUMPS xddd
OMGggg im afraid i'm adicted to this ship 💓
I wonder what Nolan’s reaction is gonna be when he finds out, since like him and Lucy were together for a bit for the first few episodes
the only word i have is - FINALLY
Bradford has a thing for getting with his co-workers, first Isabel, now Lucy, yes he did date Rachel and Ashley but those weren't really solid relationships, Isabel he married and him and Lucy went through so much together from being her TO to saving and caring for her from Caleb and Roslyn
Finally!!!!!!! 🎉
0:32 Grey knew. HE KNEW yall
Hands down gone. I'm gone I tell ye 😍😍
Seriously #Chenford I can't cope with the feels that are bouncing around my heart and brain.
My mind is screaming blow out the candles😊😂
I love their couple so much! Want to see them happy together ❤️
I can't wait to watch this in My local tv Chanel cmonnnn!
I wanna know how Grey knew!! 😭😭
Everybody knew!
Like Tamera she have eyes and Grey have eyes too. Beside he knows Tim long time, Tim changed alot and Lucy is smiling next with Tim.
@@catrachaV4 I mean. Tamara saw them kissing 🤷🏾♀️
He doesn’t miss a thing, then there were the police reports from their first date
I discontinued my Hulu subscription and then got it back when the rookie returned. And even upgraded to premium so I didn’t have to wait for the will they or won’t they cliff hangers. 😂 #chenford #endgame
Tim and Lucy look cute together. Act like they were married
Wish they didn’t brake up I hope they get back together
This is a great show!!! It was great seeing Molly Quinn again with Nathan Fillion. I love them 2 together again. In fact we have seen people from firefly and castle on this show.
Who’s Molly Quinn
@@lisarm100 She played Alexis castle's daughter on the show Castle with Nathan Fillion. The girl who was getting a kidney Molly Quinn.
@@cliffordterrell5524 Woaw!!! I barely recognized her! She looks so different with short hair!
@@lisarm100 Oh I remember the first time she was on the rookie. She is an adorable actress I remember the first episode of Castle when he was pushing her on while she was in socks. She played Alexis to a tee
Very well said.
Perfection!!!!!!!
Why did you cut off the rest of the scene......jeez!!!!!
Never realised the crazy amount of candles 😂
I can't be the only one yelling put out the candles first! You'll burn down the apartment 😅
i had to watch this like how many times, i got distracted by niki LOL
Imagine if Grey said " 'Bout damn time "
