It really got to me the way he said "Thank God for Harry Truman "" For these men there was no question but that the decision to use the bomb was morally justified .Thank you, Sir for keeping those planes in the air.
I live near Framlingham and I love to hear these stories and the old folk still talk about the time the Americans were here they did a fantastic job . Great videos.
I have watched a few of these videos and really enjoyed hearing the experiences of the service personnel. But what I find impressive is the skill of the interviewer to frame the questions in such a way as to draw out the memories from these remarkable heroes. Thank you.
I really enjoy these videos; my grandfather was too old to enlist at the time so he went to work for Boeing in Wichita, KS and built wings and horizontal stabilizers for B-17's and B-29's. He is long passed away now; but he was always proud of the fact that his wings were carrying guys that would eventually help win the war. I still have incredibly vivid memories of the work and life stories he told me and my sister which is now a really long time ago.
Thank you to the GREATEST generation, they had more guts and patriotism than any generation since. Thank you sir, rest in peace, you have truly earned it.
Thanks for another great interview. It was really wonderful to hear this airman to tell how the reunions helped him. The learning experience from these interviews has been amazing for me. I am so much more thankful for their service and sacrifices to our country.
Great job Ray, good questioning train . At first I didn't think this one would be that exciting but it fooled me and it turned out to be one of your best , at least in my opinion . Thanks again, Mark Battista

Glad you enjoyed it. We made a film about Paul's wife called The Bride Ships - here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/fAw0_VrLANA/v-deo.html
@@raymondmcfalone26 Thanks Ray
Laughing about his remarks of stealing parts to keep his squadron planes flying. U S Navy in the mid 60s we were doing the same thing.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
so, he married a red cross parcel, cool.
If you'd like to see an interview of his bride, here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/fAw0_VrLANA/v-deo.html
@@raymondmcfalone26 what a bonus! Never realised that.
How mad is that. Mixed marriage stress and we are just talking Catholic/C of E... Lol
