Angie, thank you! I just purchased the L’Oreal dupe for the KVD good apple foundation balm. Amazing! And I didn’t spend $38! I’m 51 with very oily skin (still!) and can’t wear the foundations that the younger UA-camrs recommend. I don’t have a ton of wrinkles, but foundation just doesn’t work the same as it did even 2 years ago. Aging is real and speeding up! I always look to you because we have similar skin types and textures. Thanks for all your advice! I definitely appreciate it. 😘
I make my own finishing powder with 2 parts rice flour and 1 part cornstarch and then add a touch of pigment to counteract it being too white. Works beautifully and it’s dirt cheap. Been doing this for years. I found out that Mineral Veil by Bare Essentials costs around $30 and is made with just cornstarch and a touch of mica/pigment.
I went and got the L’Oréal after watching this as the Chanel was my HG based on your reviews. The L’Oréal is lovely and my husband even commented how lovely my skin looked when it was on. The one thing that doesn’t compare is the smell, omg I love the smell of the Chanel, just smells high end when putting it on

Yes! That L’Oreal nude serum foundation is highly underrated. I’ve tried so many of the high-end foundation releases lately, and I always ask myself, do I like it better than the L’Oreal? The answer is always no. So why pay the higher price tag? They have added the hyaluronic acid and more moisturizing ingredients to offset the alcohol, and I find that my dry skin tolerates it very well. If you loved the L’Oréal fresh wear but found it too drying, try this one.

Thanks for mentioning the SD alcohol in the liquid foundations, Angie. I would guess that the Chanel product is also heavily fragranced. I'm looking forward to trying the L'Oreal balm when the L'Oreal parent company, Nestle, stops doing business in Russia. Or when the war in Ukraine ends. And the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks are fantastic! As a bonus, they're unscented and unflavored. These are the only drugstore lipsticks I'm aware of that aren't scented or flavored.
Nestle also uses cacao harvested by child slaves, destroys agricultural land by stealing ground water, and tricks penniless African women into using their baby formula instead of breast feeding. And you're worried about RUSSIA? Americans are fascinating people.
Love the L'Oreal Serum foundation, except of the dropper applicator. I bought some replacement pump applicators on Amazon and replaced the dropper. That simple change made the L'Oreal even better. I added the Nyx powder to my cart. I honestly haven't used the IT Bye Bye Pores powder in a while, I prefer the MAC Prep & Prime, but I'm willing to try something that costs a lot less! I recently seen the L'Oreal foundation recently in someone else's video and tried it. I am in love with it and use it all the time now. My only complaint is the bottle, I wish it was a pump dispenser. The coverage is great and it isn't thick.
Hi Angie, Wow! You had me fooled. I picked the right side (my left) as the high end. From my vantage point, I saw your skin looked more vibrant and luminous on the dupe side! I thought that looked much more, very visible to me, higher end on the left (your right) side. I cannot use it as I need a more moisturizing makeup, but I will try the one in the little jar that is more of a mousse foundation. I loved this and the moral of the story is that we can probably find a dupe for what we like, if we look hard enough. Thanks Angie for the video.

I started wearing the Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet foundation many years ago based on your recommendation, then Chanel Ultra Le Teint Velvet due to Canel's discontinuing of the Perfection Lumière...I went to the Chanel counter in Macy's a week ago to ask about the Le Teint not being available cuz I'm out. The Chanel rep told me it's NOT discontinued, but it's a supply issue due to the supply issues everyone is still experiencing from Covid. She said there are many things she/Chanel is out of right now, But our beloved foundation WILL come back in stock!!!! YAY!!!
I love your eyeshadows in every video. I am 64, blond with blue eyes and I avoid shimmer or frosted shadows and it’s difficult to find mattes that compliment my age and eye color. I’ve tried neutrals but they are always dull, unnoticeable altogether and/or unflattering. Would love for you to share the eyeshadows that you wear.

Loreal is just killing it in foundation! I have the serum foundation. I finished the whole bottle and have repurchased. I almost never finish a foundation before it's expiration. So big fave! Would have jumped for the makeup mirror- alas, Amazon sez currently unavailable. I have been using the L'Oreal balm, from your video a few weeks ago and I love it! I go for a minimal no-makeup look and this makes my 62 yr. old visage look lovely. Ran out of my IT cosmetics finishing a few weeks ago, it did last for over a year ( counting all those COVID days I worked from home and makeup was mascara and lip color), now using up something I had purchased a bit of time ago.. When that is gone, it will be the dupe! No need to buy high end, if you can get results from good products without the marketing markup.. Thanks Angie!

Loved this video, and you look beautifulas usual. I'm definitely going to try the L'Oreal dupe for Chanel's Lumiere Velvet, as I have also been a fan of that Chanel foundation and hate to see it go. Thank you for showing the side by side color comparisons of the foundations. You proved to me why I've never been able to find a drugstore foundation that matches my skin tone. Dupes videos are my absolute FAVORITES!! I do have (or have used) a couple of the dupes and a couple of the high end. The Bye Bye Pores powder if my favorite! However, lately I have been reached for my Wet N Wild Photo Focus setting powder. I love it! I'm going to have to try the NYX powder when I start running low. The L’Oreal 4-In-1 Tinted Balm has also been on my "to try" list (when I have worked through some of what I already have). Great video, I couldn't click fast enough when I saw the title!! 😍

At one point I was suffering from acne really bad on my neck and I started wearing the KVD balm foundation as a concealer and it covered my acne beautifully.
The dupes are good. That mirror looks wonderful for travel! Do try the WG foundation. I am not going to be a spoiler, I have tried it. I will say that his lipsticks, liners, and glosses are wonderful. All his lipsticks and glosses work together, so you can get a lot of different looks. I love that.

You look so pretty in this video - well, you always look pretty....I did pick out the high end use on your face. I am not sure why but I kept focusing on the check area. The high end side did not look as shiny and looks softer than the other. There was something different on the eyes as well. Hmmmm. Love the video. When I was at the Chanel counter they told me the ultra le teint velvet is being "redone" (again). I never know what to believe but i hope that's true!
I’m excited about the mirror dupe. I don’t even know what to say about the foundation comparisons; I use both, but for me, I find them very different. Interesting that the ingredients are similar and you find the one to be a dupe. I like them both, but I feel the True Match is much more luminous and does not have the staying power of the Ultra Velvet. I guess is just a difference in our skin and maybe a few other skin care products that go on first.

I've been watching you for several years now and wanted to thank you for making me feel pretty... I started the tretenoin about 4 years ago and love the curology for all of the ingredients that help keep my skin from flaking. Do you have a BB cream or tinted primer that you recommend? The IT brand is just too heavy and feels like a full foundation whereas I haven't been able to find a dupe for the stilla brightening serum since they changed the formula color several years ago. You have only become more beautiful as you age!

Would have jumped for the makeup mirror- alas, Amazon sez currently unavailable. I have been using the L'Oreal balm, from your video a few weeks ago and I love it! I go for a minimal no-makeup look and this makes my 62 yr. old visage look lovely. Ran out of my IT cosmetics finishing a few weeks ago, it did last for over a year ( counting all those COVID days I worked from home and makeup was mascara and lip color), now using up something I had purchased a bit of time ago.. When that is gone, it will be the dupe! No need to buy high end, if you can get results from good products without the marketing markup.. Thanks Angie!

Loved this video, and you look beautifulas usual. I'm definitely going to try the L'Oreal dupe for Chanel's Lumiere Velvet, as I have also been a fan of that Chanel foundation and hate to see it go. I'm also tempted to try the dupe for the makeup mirror. I was tempted to bite the bullet and splurge on the pricey one, but if the dupe works, I'll be thrilled to keep my money! Since you asked, I would be very interested in a Foundation Friday for the new Chanel foundation.

Thank you for showing the side by side color comparisons of the foundations. You proved to me why I've never been able to find a drugstore foundation that matches my skin tone. They all seem to have way too much of a pink/peach undertone for me. Guess I'll still be shopping sales for my high-end favs. 🤦🏼♀️

Dupes videos are my absolute FAVORITES!! I do have (or have used) a couple of the dupes and a couple of the high end. The Bye Bye Pores powder if my favorite! However, lately I have been reached for my Wet N Wild Photo Focus setting powder. I love it! I'm going to have to try the NYX powder when I start running low. The L’Oreal 4-In-1 Tinted Balm has also been on my "to try" list (when I have worked through some of what I already have). Great video, I couldn't click fast enough when I saw the title!! 😍

Great recommendations! If people want to avoid talc in their powders the NYX powder contains talc but the Bye Bye Pores does not.

At one point I was suffering from acne really bad on my neck and I started wearing the KVD balm foundation as a concealer and it covered my acne beautifully.

The dupes are good. That mirror looks wonderful for travel! Do try the WG foundation. I am not going to be a spoiler, I have tried it. I will say that his lipsticks, liners, and glosses are wonderful. All his lipsticks and glosses work together, so you can get a lot of different looks. I love that.

You look so pretty in this video - well, you always look pretty....I did pick out the high end use on your face. I am not sure why but I kept focusing on the check area. The high end side did not look as shiny and looks softer than the other. There was something different on the eyes as well. Hmmmm. Love the video. It is always good to have lower priced makeup available and look good.

I love the L’Oréal serum foundation but hate the dropper. I’ve now found a pump for it ( Estée Lauder dw pump) so ticks all boxes now.

When I was at the Chanel counter they told me the ultra le teint velvet is being "redone" (again). I never know what to believe but i hope that's true!
I’m excited about the mirror dupe. I don’t even know what to say about the foundation comparisons; I use both, but for me, I find them very different. Interesting that the ingredients are similar and you find the one to be a dupe. I like them both, but I feel the True Match is much more luminous and does not have the staying power of the Ultra Velvet. I guess is just a difference in our skin and maybe a few other skin care products that go on first.

I've been watching you for several years now and wanted to thank you for making me feel pretty... I started the tretenoin about 4 years ago and love the curology for all of the ingredients that help keep my skin from flaking. Do you have a BB cream or tinted primer that you recommend? The IT brand is just too heavy and feels like a full foundation whereas I haven't been able to find a dupe for the stilla brightening serum since they changed the formula color several years ago. You have only become more beautiful as you age!
