I'm doing a little searching for friends that had a cable fail at the D Handle of their sectional couch with 2 recliners. There was a sticker on the frame of the recliner mechanism with safety warnings but also a website which led to Leggett and Platt. Seems that may be the path to getting a replacement cable. Which is less than 12.00.
@la196 - The sticker on the mechanism is an identification tag for that part. Since the plastic pull handle & cable assemblies are so common online, there's an easier way to get a replacement. See this video to learn more -----> ua-cam.com/video/ZqQwmu4f_lQ/v-deo.html If the furniture is a name brand & the company is still in business, you can also contact them to order the pull. It's a good idea to order at least 1 extra pull, so that you'll have a spare in-hand for future use.
I have a lazy boy recliner that has lost all motion. I have power after the black box until I plug in the connector for chair movement then I lose everything. Ideas?
Recliner, Repair Guy, Yeah when I get my new La-Z-Boy recliner will make sure that it is legit! My old La-Z-Boy recliner is legit but my stink dad got rid of the information for getting parts so would be stuck with junk to not get it fixed... Oh well time for a new La-Z-Boy recliner when at the right time!
