My Poppy collected all kinds of older tools, and he had a few planes that were housed in big lumps of timber rather than just metal. They were so cool.
You can NEVER have too many planes.
You should not be accused, you should be arrested for possession of so many planers, and we(2-3 plane owners) will testify against you out of sheer jealousy, of course.

You need at least one duplicate of your ach of these so you don’t have stress about losing one so much.
Two duplicates would be better because then you’d still have a backup if you lost the first one.

An incline plane can mean a downward trajectory, conversely if you are inclined to go uphill frodo then the problem will be the plane, precious though it may be

If you worked out which planes you'd use over 2 year-period and got rid of the rest you'd have a lot of empty storage to fill with new planes. Either that or work-out a storage that hides a heap of the planes.

I don't see any power planes. Nor a metal planer. So clearly an incomplete collection. I mean, it only does wood, and slowly at that! A planer is only like 20ft long and weighs several tons, it can live off to the side of the shop.

it is one of the most common soft maples in the Midwest. silver maple is another one.

In the lumber yard soft maple is any maple that is not sugar maple. there is no one tree called soft maple it is just a class of a BUNCH of different maples.

The hand tool woodworking community here in UK is different. Having too many planes is not a crime. However, having not enough planes is a serious offence...!

Rabbet and rebate are not the same thing for the record, a rabbet is just any longitudinal channel/groove/recess on a piece of material. A Rebate is a rectangular recess for jointing wood
that is the terminology in some English traditions, but not in most of the world. it is fun how terms change across location, time, occupation...
