Only 2,700 views on this vid!… such a shame…this band is putting out some of the best music being made these days. Brittany Howard is amazing on so many levels. Love this band.
She is a raging talent. Got to see her solo in a small venue in Boston and she stunned everyone with her passion and perfection. Their SNL performances are great too and they also did a few other songs in this well-filmed studio sessions.
A relatively newer band than most of the ones you've been reacting to Biz. Good for you. Sometimes we older folks get caught in a musical rut. Many my age (64) and older get caught up in the old "they don't make good music any more" complaint. There are so many good newer bands. Alabama Shakes are one and they are about 10 years old at this point.
Good Point. I myself (66) seem to be stuck in the 60-70's. Don't care for a lot of the newer music, but since I don't listen to popular radio stations, it's up to reactors like Biz and his audience to introduce people like me to something new AND very good! Thank you...
@Cindy Falstrom I have been listening to music steadily since I was about 10 (late 1960's). I have been playing it for about as long and have been a regular concert goer over the past 50 plus years. The internet and streaming services have been a real benefit in discovering new music. Biz is a great guy but he's not really reacting to much new stuff. That's not the way the reaction game is played. Reaction pages rely on clicks and engagement statistics. Much of the audience is older folks who enjoy seeing younger folks come to realize how great a lot of our music was. This isn't the way to discover new music. Use the streaming services to do that. YT Music or Spotify are free if you don't mind commercials and limits on skipping songs. Search on a song like this one by Alabama Shakes and the service creates a Playlist of songs it thinks are similar. Like the song and the service creates a list and learns. Not sure where your musical tastes run, but there are so many to try. Here is a wide ranging list. Marcus King Band, Goose, Jackie Venson, Lettuce, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Eilen Jewell, Samantha Fish, Big Head Todd, Lumineers, Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Lucas Nelson, Tyler Childers... lots of different genres. Check them out, discover others. There is so much more than our 60s/70s old reliables 👍
Alabama Shakes is a firecracker, but Brittany is Dynamite. They won two grammys for this song and one for the album. *(they lost album of the year to T.Swift tho) I'm biased tho, they from the next town over from me, and I've never seen a band blow up as fast as they did. They played live in our record store, and a fairly famous local semi-retired musician called his buddy in LA. Next thing, I got to play horns on 5 shows with them right after that, then they popped off on a rocket. She has a solo record now. It's more R&B/soul maybe, but still tite. Gimme all your love. Future People Hold On "You ain't alone" is a great balled. Find the live in Austin version. Gives me chills still, and I done played it live with them back in the day. I usually recommend "Always Alright" as someones first listen though.
I love Brittany's guitar playing in this. She is a magical talent. I wish her solo stuff had been as good as this, but she's still young and her talent isn't going anywhere.
Stay High is a rly great song with Brittany Howard. The official vid has Terry Crews in it and Brittany, stealthily. A disappointing amount of people have not reacted to this group, and artist. You just got yourself a subscriber. Thanks for the content.
If you liked this then you will love ALWAYS ALRIGHT done on Saturday Night Live. Might get blocked but watch it on your own if you have to. So damn good it will make you want to quit your job.
Please please please, react to Future People by them (Live from Capitol Studio A version), I haven't seen many ppl dig into Alabama Shakes aside from this one and Hold On, they really deserve some more recognition🙌🏻

She's especially great, but you can't discount the band either. Special magic when they play together.
You think that was good, Biz, check out “Hold On”. It will blow your mind!
There’s a great live performance of Hold On from SNL. Just Google Alabama Shakes Hold On on SNL and you’ll find it
Never heard this band, but enjoyed them. Good reaction.
Watch the Saturday night live version..it's even better.
Awesome!!! ☮️❤️😎

love it!!
If Carly and Sam weren’t friends anymore, then that means Sam would go to prison because without Carly at her side, she will put herself in trouble.
