I sense great sleepiness in you. You have tingles. You have eyelids. But you don't use them!
You should try doing a Real Grade kit next! They're about as easy as a High Grade, but have a lot more detail, more parts, and much more articulation. They're extremely satisfying to build.
Just be sure to get the newer real grades, the older models tens to have flimsy frames and bits like to fall off :(

I agree with what the other guy said get one of the newer ones, older ones are just not up to par in a lot of ways if you do a bit of research you can see
Ima stop you there. Most real grades have real grade syndrome. Were parts arent fun to deal with when posing the kit. I've delt with The absolute fire that is the Sinanju. It looks good but is an absolute headache to pose. But the newer real grades are good.

@@EphemeralRift I've been told Real Grade kits have the best articulation
@@EphemeralRift it has a prebuilt inner frame, but is actually pretty good for beginners, considering it has mostly undergated parts, so you don't have to snap or sand as much, and it has more specific guides along with more labels.

1:21:33 when you remove the hand to interchange with a different hand, I think you are removing the wrist part above the hand piece as well, which is why the weapon won't fit

Dude, I was spending the last 15 minutes deciding whether to watch Ephemeral Rift or try some new Gundam asmr to get some sleep, but low and behold, I’ve found the perfect blend

I just built my own Zaku, the MS-06R-1A Zaku II High Mobility Type, precisely the Shiin Matsunaga custom. Loved the build and love the model.
I love how he starts to conceptualise and structure his videos compared to near absolute improvised chaos of last 10 years
This video got me into gunpla and I have greatly enjoyed big robot models, and big robot show. So thanks for opening up the door to this rabbit hole.

Honestly, you should make more of these. They're relaxing and fun to watch. Sometimes I find myself just watching this to chill out to because of how fascinating I find the build process. Good work capturing the ASMR in this video.

I just got mine a few hours ago and the build was pretty nice, I’m a big fan of the rubber skirting, gives it a lot more room to articulate in the legs and still looks pretty normal.

Well, part of it. I've been working on it for the better part of 2 weeks so far.
Now I want to put one together. Seems relaxing and can keep your mind focused on something.

Its a very fun hobby, albeit pretty expensive for the more quality kits, but its a great escape hobby. Theres also a subculture for painting kits if thats more your thing too!
@@CrossTrash it’s ok to do but it’s really hard when you start when you learn the techniques it’s a lot more easy
If you're a complete beginner I would suggest high gradesthere's simplistic easy to build and for the most part don't need any paint or glue unless you want to of course paint it. But I don't have the answers or all the information on it so I would suggest looking on UA-cam for videos on how to get into gunpla because there's people who know more about it than me
@@a_wisepenny9227 I agree starting with a high grade is ok a lot of people will say that starting with a real grade is ok but it’s a lot harder to build a real grade

ER, if you're planning on getting into gundam you need to know this info:
The Gundam Origin manga is not the same as the Gundam origin anime
The Gundam origin manga is in a separate timeline
To watch the Universal Century, start with Gundam Origin (anime)
Then watch Mobile Suit Gundam (movies or TV show)
There are many side stories from the One Year War. These are excellent world building stories that also have some amazing MS. My personal favorites are 08th MS team and Gundam 0080

Have you ever heard of Warhammer 40k? If not, I think you should check it out. It seems like something you'd like. It's about a grimdark future filled with crazy space aliens, far flung technology, and magic that all comes together in a galaxy wide conflict. Its got otherworldly demons, giant religious space warriors with mech suits, British bulldog accent Orks, and space elves.
Just a suggestion if you're looking for something new to preoccupied yourself with.

Your arms appear to be missing a segment below the elbow joint compared to the pictured model, maybe thats why the hand with gun can't properly connect.

I remember helping my younger brother build on of these
I've always loved the Zaku model design. A lot of them get kind of goofy like the Zaku Dom with it's big old bellbottom legs, but the old traditional Zaku design I'm a fan of. As far as Gunpla I really like more of the grounded mobile suit and gundam designs, the problem I have with the series is that the mecha always get to looking so crazy. As a result, I tend to appreciate Armored Core and Mechwarrior/Battletech a little bit more. Sadly both seem a bit more difficult to get kits for to build, so Gundam seems like the go-to for it.
Admittedly though, I have a rather large backlog of Gundam model kits I've really been needing to build
I have to agree, its a shame that the more "high fantasy" designs are more common to the point of being practically the only model kits out there. Battletech is by far my favourite design wise but the models are practically all still 80s sculpts aside from some new ones they released just recently for the new edition.
Early Universal Century stuff is generally pretty grounded (except maybe Unicorn). Stuff like G Gundam is generally where they go all out ridiculous (but G Gundam is amazing so I don't mind).
Generally if you want grounded stuff, check out VOTOMS.

0079 is pretty fun. I'm more of an Ideon guy but I enjoyed what I've watched of the old stuff.

This is such a coincidence, literally it was either a couple days ago or last week that my girlfriend bought me that exact same zaku kit from amazon and I thought to myself, I remember ER doing one kit, will he ever do more like this one? Well seems like it happened
I plan to do these once or twice a year but stopping at some point for good as I don’t plan on building a big collection.
