A Christmas Story Christmas MOVIE REACTION @ ua-cam.com/video/jrB2OxBDl2k/v-deo.html
Amy Adams said she has a great time playing this character and it really shows, she is most definitely having a lot of fun.
I swear James Marsden hasn’t aged at all. He looks exactly the same as he did in the first movie.
I know!!!!
Hell yeahhh!!! with just a touch of little wrinkles he still look the same
Nah he looks older for sure
but seriously!! he looks amazing
@@bellaelijahalcazar9709 I didn’t even notice the wrinkles😂
The sets for this movie are gorgeous! I was lucky enough to be in Wicklow, Ireland when they were filming for it, and while I would say the whole island looks like a fairytale, Wicklow hits the nail on the head for this movie.
The big square that had the dance number has some lovely shops :) And the waterfall in the dragon scene is even more beautiful in person!!
Sending love from 🇮🇪 ❤
Indeed. The small village is called Enniskerry and is in Wicklow, the Garden of Ireland. The water fall is in the grounds of Powerscourt House nearby.
I honestly don't know why this film is getting bashed by critics. Maybe they expected this film to be more of a romantic comedy rather than a family musical drama. According to the director he wanted to focus more on the mother daughter story rather than the romantic comedy aspect.
Sure alot of the scenes made zero sense(like we never got to see Robert Philip at work or Giselle making her dresses).
Overall despite the songs being unforgettable I still loved it.
8 out of 10
4 Stars
I would rate it the same as you. I like the plot and the songs. But of course it's not the same as Enchanted or the way how I feel about it. But I do like it.
Yeah right!?!? I looked at rotten tomatoes and they said it doesn’t have the “magic” like enchanted did. Like what??? What about this movie didn’t have enough magic in it LOL 😂 I think they just wanted it to be a comedy like the first film. I like how Disney made it a heart warming mother and daughter film. The music was amazing, visuals ugh I really liked it!! Sure it’s not perfect but what movie is. Smh these movie critics are annoying
I agree. This is really fun film. It seems that lately this more like fashion. "Oh, its another sequel 10+ years so its automatically boo" I get such vibes lately related anything what Disney has done in past few years. I am begin to think poor rates are not for the film itself but more directed to company and that's not professional when it comes to critics.
@@maylily820 100 agreed
The problem is that it went against the very premise of the first movie. It became a typical Disney romp just like the ones the first one took the proverbial out of.
The story was pretty clearly affected by James Marsden being extremely busy, between Sonic 2, Westworld, and Dead to Me. Though at least his first scene packs so much great stuff in.
I love the little Aladdin Easter egg in the market, when the vendor yells out “Sugared Dates, figs and pistachios” i almost yelled ALADDIN. lol
The movie is worth it for Badder alone.
Absolutely. Imagine it was RAGINA and ZELENA 😂
Yes!!
Absolutely the best song, for the catchiness, the musical complexity, the performances, and the kind of tongue-in-cheek fairytale commentary we loved in the original.
39:14 I mean, the spell doesn’t become permanent when it become midnight, it becomes permanent when the clock reaches midnight.
In the first movie she thought most step mother were nice. She thought Edwards Step mother was nice. She learned different. Plus she has a tendency to think everyone and everything is nice 🤣, I loved this movie
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that Malvina's magic looks exactly like Agatha's. Guess it's Disney +'s standard evil witch effect haha
The frogs with hair is a reference to Cinderella III.
According to the director/producers mentioned that early development for the film was going to be a theatrical box office film but then flipped during early pandemic. The producer Barry Josephson said that even after the decision was made was told in a call ‘you’re going to make this movie as if you’ve done it as a feature film for the box office.’
Also the Once Upon a Time references made are funny considering the screenplay is credited to Brigitte Hales, who wrote for S5-7 of the show. So it does make me wonder if those references are purposeful or more just general fairy tale references.
They really should've kept it as a theatrical release. I know Disney was probably scared this would've flopped in this day and age but I feel like a film like this would be more fun to experience as part of a crowd
WHATTTTTT WHATTTT I LOVE ONCE UPON A TIME I HAD NO IDEA
I knew that. I love Once Upon a Time..aside from season 7..but we don't talk about season 7. I actually cosplay Emma. She and Killian were my two favorite characters. I relate a lot to Emma and the horrible things she went through.
Seasons 5-7? Hm, that does explain a few things...
You both said "Once upon a time" lmao. The writers did their job justice 😂 💜👸👑👑👑
Even Amy Adams husband was the painter and her daughter was in the market in the movie
i loved this movie of course it's not as good as the 1st one but it's pretty decent i must say it's a definitely better sequel than hocus pocus 2 cause they brought back the og characters and made it more about them which hp2 was lacking badder and love power were by far my favorite songs IDINA TOOK US TO CHURCH WITH THAT SONG OH MY GOD i got SO MUCH CHILLS watching it the 1st time
It was so fun to see how much you both enjoyed this film!
Watching the scene where Nancy and Edward brought the wishing want for ''their goddaughter's'' belated birthday i SWEAR they were talking about Morgon and clearly she did as well. When i realized it was Sophia i Chocked on my drink and almost fell off the chair😫
Dude, they sang a whole ass music number before they made it clear it was Sophia they were talking about, they didnt have to do her like that😭😭🤣
I liked that movie for this one simple message. When Giselle tells Morgan she is TRUE Andalasian. It is such a powerful and wholesome moment. Morgan could feel like third wheel after birth of Sophia. Also Edward and Nancy did not help with Wishing Wound wielded only by TRUE Andalasian. She even states "If you do not have wand for fake Andalesian.." it hits hard. Plus Morgan going through a teenager phase, being away from her familiar environment, and misunderstood or ignored not heard adds up to the problems. She might feel like an intruder. I am glad Giselle clarified that. Even if the child is adopted, like Morgan was to Giselle, she is not a lesser or worse member of the family.
"Come be our guest. Be our guest and you won't ever be depressed." unexpected snark from disney+. 🤓
The other minion you didn't name, Ruby, was portrayed by Jayma Mays. She's probably best known for being Emma Pillsbury from Glee. When I watched it, I knew there was something familiar about her, but I couldn't place it until I looked it up.
I love how you were refering to once upon a time 😂 really enjoyed your reaction, i cried too
Yeah right before I watched the sequel I had to watch the first movie too and I loved this movie which surprised me given what happened with Hocus Pocus 2 btw the quote you two were thinking of is all magic comes with a price dearies
That's the one! 😂
@Daniel Chávez to be clear I didn't hate Hocus Pocus 2 it just wasn't nearly as good as the first one and I think I know why it's because back in the 90s Disney could say stuff like he's a virgin and saying the book was given to them by the devil himself and make jokes about hell whereas nowadays you can hardly say shit like that in a Disney movie without offending people that's why the witches didn't seem as evil this time I think
My daughter and I really liked it though she said a couple of her friends shut it off half way through lol.
My daughter said the same thing you did about that big musical number at the beginning that it must have been so much fun to film.
Badder is definitely my favorite musical number in this one.
Yaaaass! A Oncer, I see. Emma cosplayer here. I think Disenchanted actually had writers from Once Upon a Time involved..if I am not mistaken.
Idk but i find patrick dempsey (robert) so attractive in this sequel than the 1st one
Thanks, Vanessa! Thanks, Robert! 🪄 #LateToTheParty #AdamShankman #Disenchanted #Disenchanted2022
We just finished watching it. There aren't any songs that really stand out like the first film, but, we loved it just the same. 💖
The Andalasia theme was a standout for me in the opening.
@@greenfiend781 That theme has been stuck in our heads all night!
@@LatetotheParty I know, right! It’s like the one I’ve been singing the most since the movie dropped.
Lol no. Andalasia was bomber and the villain song too!!!! You just have poor taste in music
The song Idina sings stood out for me and the song Amy sang when her wish first came true was nice too
The lesson i learned from this story is read through the terms and conditions before using anything that's supposed to make your life easier.
17:56 If we performed this song we should include the entertaining meal verse from Be Our Guest
Man, the way it opens with that version of the Disney logo where the birds switch it from live-action to (literal) watercolor animation hits hard knowing that this will be the final movie of Disney’s using that logo they’ve used from 2006 to 2022 before Disney has their new 100th Anniversary logo starting with Disney’s Strange World in 4 days.
But, what do you think, Robert and Vanessa? Agree or disagree?
So many good movies and shows this week
I'm so glad you guys enjoyed the movie! I really do love this film. Is it as good as the first one? Ehhh...but I rarely expect sequels to be better than the original. In all honesty, I kinda want to rate both movies the same but for different reasons. I am such a sucker for a fun hero to villain story and it was just so much fun watching Amy, Patrick, James and Idina return to their characters especially Amy! The songs were great, I especially loved Even More Enchanted both the reprise and the original, Love Power, and Badder.
Idiza Menzel, Queen of Arandelle and Andalasia!
Man Indina can sing!
Gisele was actually the villain it was her desperate wish that turned the town to wandavisuon westview and then she went wicked stepmother lol
I Liked Disenchanted Better Than The First One. Thanks For Sharing. 😁😀😃💕
I thought the same
Guys I Loved your reaction of the movie! My sugestion for a next series to react, if you guys aren't too over scheduled: "The Sandman" Please! 🙏
Queen Malvin notices the baby Sofia having it in her hand.
Finally it’s out

IDINA’S SONG!!!!
I think the Encanto effect changed how Disney views their online streaming platform. There wasn't a lot of buzz about Encanto when it played in theaters over Thanksgiving break, but it took the world by storm once it came to Disney+ for Christmas. Since then, Disney has been more inclined to let better stuff either go directly to streaming, or use a duel-release system. The truth is, Disney+ is a much safer gamble for the company, since the movies gain a much wider audience for a longer runtime. Since the site can keep a movie there nearly indefinitely, the films are a lot less likely to have their reception subject to box-office rules like who can see it, when, and how often can the audiences afford to go to the theater. I know I'm much more likely to check out a movie if I can pause, rewatch, or rewind whenever I please, than make a big deal of going out to see a movie, which costs an arm and a leg for a single viewing. Plus, if there is a glitch in the theater, you're pretty much screwed, being out $20+ for a movie you don't even actually get to see. Even if the theater offers you a rain check, there's no guarantee you can actually get away from work to take advantage of it.
I love it 🤩
Some of these tracks would be great for the Disney Parks
20:00 is that Rosetta from Tinkerbell?
Requesting reviews for Just My Luck (2006), Georgia Rule (2007) and Labor Pains (2009).
Is here powers red or green cause u said purple and red lol
Every time I see Idina I immediately think "RACHEL BERRY!" 😆
That sing-off battle reminded me of this scene from Galavant: ua-cam.com/video/w-c6IFBByeI/v-deo.html
If it wasn’t for you both often referencing The Office, I would never have finally got off my ass and watched it. And if I didn’t do that, then I would’ve completely missed Oscar’s role in the movie 😂👍🏻
🤣
Happy to be doing our part!
Alot of people said the first one was better.
um Giselle is already Morgan's step-mother because she's not Morgan's birth mother.
True, but in Andelasia, stepmother might as well be code for "b*tch." If I talked to my mom like that when I was a teenager, I would never make it to my twenties.
Actually, Enchanted predates Frozen. And Nancy was already Idina Menzel, but Disney didn't use her beautiful voice until Frozen. Which is wild, because anyone who has ever seen Wicked knows she can sing! And Disney clearly knows about Wicked, because Kristen Chennoweth plays Maleficent in Descendants, and got her own vaudeville music number, complete with an homage to "Defying Gravity."
I was actually quite disappointed with this they could have done so much more and gone so much bigger but I guess Disney channel originals never where that big just seems they didn’t even try to give that big movie event like the 1st one this was just a quick let’s just shut the fans up and give them something oh yes this will do 🤷♀️😏. It’s not bad but it’s not good either
