    Thank you. As I think I've told you before I live in the far north of Thailand and we are basically in the foothills of the Himalayas. The scenery here is often breathtaking but I find myself disappointed with my amateurish photos at times. Often I will be walking up a mountain and when getting to the top experiencing a big wow. However sometimes when I get the images on my laptop the reaction is a big meh! This and your previous video has been very helpful.

      The views from the top of mountains, unless they consist of more mountains are hard to turn into good images. I look for standout features, repeating patterns and light. The other thing is the quality of the light. My hikes in Spain usually get me to the top around midday when the light is at its worst. My best pictures are shot early morning. Which means camping out. Not an everyday option!

      @@chriswrightphotographs One saving grace is that many Buddhist temples are built on high ground so the architecture and statues can sometimes be used as foreground.
