I tried this last night, it turned out great. My hair texture is fine but long so it turned out in a shoulder length bob, soft and bouncy. I'm going through a no heat growth stage so I will be using the style for a while. Thanks soooooo much!!!!!
Thank you for making this video. It has helped me upkeep my curly hair. Day one I do my regular curly routine and air dry. However with your twist method, I am able to get second, third, and sometimes even fourth day curly hair. This is awesome. It started to get really annoying to leave the house with dripping wet hair (especially in the brutal winter in CT.), then waiting two to three hours for it to dry. So again thanks for the tutorial. Love the videos. God Bless You.
I was skeptical that this was actually going to work. I tried it last night, Needless to say the results were AMAZING... Thanks girls... Keep making more videos....
Haha aww when your hair is all twisted you look so cute like a baby, I remember I'd actually wear my hair in twists when I was younger, my natural curl pattern is similar to yours I'm going to try this!!
Lovely twistout! I love when you just have the twists too, they are very pretty! Thanks for posting the tutorial, I am going to try it with a side-part with that side slicked down.
I love the way your hair looks like this. I have never tried a twist out before, I will do it and let you know how it came out. Thanks for the video... :-)
You're welcome ^_^Trust me your hair is always growing! I say maintain moisturizing and sealing as much as you need to..You will come to find that your regimen may change as you begin to master your own hair needs and likes..Right now focus on health and hairstyles you like that allow you to manipulate it less and protect the ends of your hair. My favorite protective style that hides and protect my ends are the banana clip high buns..It goes with anything youre wearing and less manipulative.
Very, very good look...thank you for this tutorial, I would have never thought to do a deep side part. Beautiful, I will use this for my next date night!
watching this video make me LOVE even more having curly hair &being black. lol, i have tried doing the twists outs but i did mine in bigger sections..sooo now i am going to try it in smaller sections & do this style verry cute! im in love (:
This is gorgeous. I have heat damage so extreme that it looks like I am transitioning from relaxed hair. Half of my hair is all straight from excessive heat. So of course it won't hold a style. I will try this tomorrow on my cowash day .thanks
This is one of the best twist outs ive seen, i have almost the same texture so im looking forward to trying it this way , im an up and coming youtuber myself and one day hope to inspire as many people as you and tour sister have :)
Your hair is SO beautiful! I have been trying to find different protective hairstyles to do besides braids, can you do a tutorial on different protective hairstyles?
You should be able to leave in any conditioner that does not have protein in it (keratin, amino acid, collagen, soy protein, wheat protein). Make sure it says moisturizing conditioner and it should be fine. Try it and see, some will work better for you than others. I personally love Pantene conditioners as leave ins, Herbal Essence conditioners work great too and they're cheap.
You can use Eco Styler Gel, some people wait until their hair is damp before twisting (instead of doing it on soaking wet hair). I use a mix of Shea Butter and Vitamin E Oil to do my braid-outs (since they're both supposed to help prevent shrinkage). It's nice because even if your hair gets blown around and rained on, it still stays pretty :)
put your hair in plat to air dry instead of leaving it out. also put your leave in condition on before doing your plats. this will keep it from getting tangled
GORGEOUS AS ALWAYS LOVE THIS TUTORIAL. I JUST STARTED TRANSITIONING "AGAIN" AND THIS TIME THERE'S NO LOOKING BACK LOL! MUCH LOVE HUN PEACE AND BLESSINGS XOXO SMOOCHES 💋💋💋
wow ima really try that!! its cool how u can have curls like that without using heat and btw ur hair is soo beautiful, i can tell u take really good care of it. (new subby)
You guys should make an updated TwistOutTutorial and a video on hairstyles you can do when your hair is kinda dirty but not dirty enough to be washed!!!!!!
@MsMousey17 I've heard them say that they use the bonnet and pineapple method when their hair is curly and that it works very well for them. Hope it helped.
I have a question but first I would like to start by saying I love you guys videos !! I just decided to go natural and I am trying to decided the best transition protective styles to do. From my research this seems to be everyones favorite. I'm only one month natural but my curl pattern is already coming (or new growth) in under my relaxed hair. My question is when is the best time during the transition phase to do these protective styles ? Should I wait until my curl pattern surfaces ?
I do want longer and healthier hair but I do not want to do the whole going natural thing can I still do the same things that you guys did for your hair to achieve healthier and longer hair
thanks i am going to try this tomarrow after i wash my hair... is it ok to use regular conditioner in ur hair every other day? like if i wanted to rock this on a daily basis would it drown my hair is it bad for my hair? any suggestions substitutes
Hi..Just thought I help out..but you can blow dry your hair on cool setting. Let your hair air dry a little for like 20 minutes and then go in with a blow dryer on cool setting or low heat...If you prefer blow outs it would be best to do your wash days bi weekly..this helps avoid overuse and too much manipulation ..HHJ ^_^
Thank you!! it helped alot I can't wait to finally take out this hair and start geting ,my hair healthy again I just have to prepare myself and it seems to be taking a while! but I know I will get it together lol!!
It depends on the conditioner you use. Personally I only use organic conditioners and those are safe to leave in but most conditioners as long as they are sulfate free are ok to leave i. Just don't get it too close to your scalp (it is heavy and can cause much build up or irritate your skin if you aren't careful).
So heat damage is the reason why some of my ends don't curl when wet? I wondered about that. Thanks for the info! I also twist my hair but I use soft flexible curlers for the ends. Easier to sleep on. I see you do a lot of twists. I do less but your hair looks curlier, so I think I'll try doing more of them and see if there's a difference.
Looking at your old videos. Your old makeup in these tutorials are much more beautiful. Flawless and natural looking.
I'm on this natural hair journey of mine because of YOU!!! Thank you!!!❤
this is the best twist out I've seen so far on natural hair...love it !!!
I tried this last night, it turned out great. My hair texture is fine but long so it turned out in a shoulder length bob, soft and bouncy. I'm going through a no heat growth stage so I will be using the style for a while. Thanks soooooo much!!!!!

Super pretty!!! I love watching you all old video. Kelsey can you imagine recreating that style on your hair the length it is now, lol!!!???

I never thought of using flexi rods to "hide" heat damage. Thanks!
Your hair is SO beautiful! I have been trying to find different protective hairstyles to do besides braids, can you do a tutorial on different protective hairstyles?

It should, just try the flexi rod method for the ends.

@MsMousey17 I've heard them say that they use the bonnet and pineapple method when their hair is curly and that it works very well for them. Hope it helped.
I know you guys had a video where you showed the end results of a flexirod hair style but I'd love a tutorial on how you do a complete flexirod style.
I have a question but first I would like to start by saying I love you guys videos !! I just decided to go natural and I am trying to decided the best transition protective styles to do. Beautiful!!! I was wondering what color do you have on your nails???

Just don't get it too close to your scalp (it is heavy and can cause much build up or irritate your skin if you aren't careful).
Yes you can leave any conditioner in your hair. She uses conditioner as a styling product. It's the same as using leave-in conditioner.
Beautiful Kels
Twin sisters look lovely
Your make up is so pretty!
Adorable !
Looking fabulous 💗💓💜💜💜
You could actually leave the twists in and style it too. You look beautiful with them in as well.
I actually prefer your twist-out to your wash n' go. I love the waves that twists make. Unfortunately my hair seems to hate twists :(
My hair is wayy shorter than yours, but Im trying it out tonigt & the following day so I'll see how it turns out
So heat damage is the reason why some of my ends don't curl when wet? I wondered about that. Thanks for the info! I also twist my hair but I use soft flexible curlers for the ends. i love love love this! i will definitely be trying this when I start going natural. :)
