Use non water based product to avoid reversion. Like a butter or a balm/pomade

Very impressed that your hair can look that after only one night. I’d have to leave my hair twisted on blown out hair for days, before the twist set. On wet hair my twists “set” with no problem.
Maybe it's the product. You need a product with more hold.
