In this video I show you how to create the most incredible paint effects using a household squeegee!!
Some choice colours like purple, blue, gold and silver are used to create this fantastic original artwork and it's something that you can do too!
And here is the end result for you to see what it looks like now that it's cured and stretched around its frame: www.swarez.co....

Thanks Sergio - you are most welcome!
Great work and enthusiasm
I've just moved to the Philippines so watching from there , I've just found your channel and subscribed great tutorials, idea's and logic behind each painting 🎨 can I ask a question please why do you not frame your canvas before you paint ? Also do they roll up easy with using enamel paints ?
Thanks .Ian
Welcome aboard Ian! Thanks for joining the family over here. I paint flat (unframed) for two main reasons. First is that I am able to use liquids like thinners without it all sinking into a horrid mess in the middle. A pre stretched canvas has a low weak point in the centre so everything pools into that. If the entire surface is flat against the floor there’s little chance of that happening. Secondly, I can get the painting all the way around the edges when it’s stretched and I like that finish - not the white edges you see most of the time.
As for rolling, yes. I can roll a cured painting and keep its integrity. They won’t crack thanks to a secret additive I put in my paints to prevent that. Hope that helps
Always showing the best thanks for sharing tutorial painting color good job
You are welcome! Thank you👍
Very cool! Awesome painting!😀
Thank you so much 😀
Hola mi estimado artista, cuando tendremos el gusto y placer de ver tu nueva galería con tus magníficas y bonitas pinturas. Soy de MEXICO Vicky Mora
Soon Vicky. Soon
Just found your channel, amazing work... which paint are you using and for someone starting which paint do you recommend?
Thank you! I use enamel paints which are very hazardous and I would never recommend them! You're much better off starting with acrylics and finding your feet with those first, before you consider swapping your mediums. Welcome aboard by the way and thanks for joining the live stream earlier!
King of Design.swarez. Lovely virtual friend. I enjoy seeing your work and I also learn. you are the best . good luck
Thank you so much 😀
Congratulations on this painting. It looks really great.
question!.. I paint for many years but i keep struggling with it. I know I have it in me to make many more paintings. I have no shortage of skills and knowledge. I also have plenty of ideas, maybe too many, but I'm so insecure to make decisions about which direction to go. I often hesitate to start a new work when I'm not sure if all the effort and spending's on it will pay off.
Do you have any ideas that can help me, to find my flow so to say.
I would highly appreciate to hear your thoughts on this.
Many thanks and blessings.
I wouldn't know where to start! Creativity is filled with self doubt and most will experience it from time to time. I have no magic wand or techniques to help me - I am driven by the need to run a business which has its own demands. When you rely on this to keep a roof over your head it's surprising how much care you suddenly find and how much motivation that can be!! Thank you for your kind words...
@@SwarezArt Thank you for the reply! Then overcoming that self-doubt is what I have to do. I see you do indeed run it as a business for your income. I don't have that skill at all. I will be famous though, but probably die in poverty. lol Thanks!!
@@cookiemonster3147 you can learn many of the practical skills on the go - that's all I did!
@@SwarezArt Thank you so much.
I love IT, 😘 beatyfull color and fine lines, I Will try IT for myself🤩 from a danish women some live in Sweden
Hey Hanne! Hope you have fun and thanks for the lovely comments!
Oh my gosh, it’s like I read your mind.😮 I keep on saying to myself no move it to that side no move it there and you move it it 😂 I really love this piece ❤
Thank you very much!
Are you mixing acryl paint with pouring medium and sylicon oil?
No, I am using enamel paints and you can read more about them here: swarezart.com/using-enamel-paints/
Beautiful! I’m going to try this with Arteza acrylic paints
Sounds great!
Love your work i finally had a go myself
Great to hear!
Amazing srarting but......sometimes less is more.
Thanks for your feedback Danilo!
That is a gorgeous painting right there. Beautiful colors. Love it!

Very beautiful painting, well done Ed! Love the simple but great techniques you are using here with such a fantasic result. Greetings from Irene from Amsterdam. I am looking forward to creating in this way. 🙂Will start soon .......
Glad you enjoyed it Irene!

What a happy, colorful painting. It really brings me joy to look at. Bravo and Yahoo!
Most kind, thank you
Instead of going to sleep at 4:53am- I'm watching your video 🥱😴😳😂🤗💖🌹
Wow! that's commitment for you! thanks Dora, very impressive!!!
Greetings,
What would be the approximate price for such a work at this size?
Appreciate it!
I price mot 180cm x 130cm artworks between £2900 and £3500. You can find the current range here if that helps: swarezart.com/modern-art-paintings-for-sale/
I have admired abstracts so long. After watching you I can't believe how easy you make it look.
Thank you so much Ginger!😀
These paints off-gas for 6 months to a year and are very toxic, I would suggest some serious ventilation in your studio/gallery, the place would go off like a bomb if there was ever a spark.
I'm not sure I have enough space to correctly reply to that Kim as it would get very tedious talking about long and short chain molecules and the effects of oxygen on the curing process. But trust me when i say that we have covered all of that and have a formula that bypasses that part of the ling term curing process. Regular air quality inspections also ensure that air is safe in the studio.
BIG fan of Purple. This piece is fantastic. Love it! Pretty sure I've seen it hanging in your gallery, in more recent videos.
Question: Do you have a separate washing machine, for cleaning your art clothes in?
I wouldn't think you'd get all the colour out of your clothes, but does the paint stain the machine?
Veronica 💜
PS: Today's viewing session of Swarez Art channel = 4.5 hours 😂😃💜
Awesome! Thank you! I think this painting may have been on the floor at some point waiting to be stretched but you may also have seen Ten Seconds From Now (www.swarez.co.uk/modern-art-paintings-for-sale/ten-seconds-from-now/) which is very similar!
I never wash the clothes - they just get ever more covered in paint! Might sound gross but in fact it's the most sensible option. I have clothes underneath so they never really need laundering from a hygiene perspective so one less thing to worry about.
Great viewing figures by the way!! Thank you so much 😊
@@SwarezArt
Clothes underneath ... I should've thought of that! LOL
You're right, I have been looking at Ten Seconds From Now 🧡

@Artist Yard Highly addictive isn't it 😎🤘
Watching from Australia 🇦🇺
cool....
too much white....you need contrasting colors
A matter of opinion - I think it looks great!
This makes me think of an aerial view of a city at night .
I can see that. Thank you
👏👏👏👏👏Bravó!
Grazie Mille
Just wondering if you can do this kind of painting with the canvas hanging on a wall or does it need to lie down on the floor???
I'm sure you could try but putting any kind of pressure on it may be tricky if it's stretched around a frame and also you'll have to make sure the drips don't take over. Also, not sure how you get the blobs of paint to stay upright before you run the squeegee over them!!! So actually, maybe not a good idea...
What a joyful painting. Love it!
Glad you like it!
it's one of the most beautiful abstract painting c'est très très beau.
Wow! That’s very kind of you, thank you!
Thank you for sharing this technique! What type of paint is used here and did you add any mediums etc? Thank you :)
My pleasure and thank you! No, all I used were my normal enamel paints and a little paint thinners. No other mediums involved. Hope that helps!
Thank you for responding! Yes, that was helpful. What paint thinner do you use?
@@w.ericachristopher4677 I use enamel paints and you can learn more about them here: www.swarez.co.uk/using-enamel-paints/
Lovely how ‘simple’ it can be to experiment! This takes the pressure off. Can’t say my result is going to be as beautiful, but hey… it’s about the process and not only the result, I hear 🙈❤️
It has to be about enjoying something and having a feeling of accomplishment (in my own opinion). Experiments and practice can yield great things...
@@SwarezArt did you use acrylic paint?
@@dr7300 no, I use enamel paints
Muy fácil de pintar, tirar colores y barrerlos
¡Sí, cualquiera puede probarlo!
Le résultat est vraiment étonnant ! Magnifique !
Merci beaucoup Mareille!
Ed you are a real magician.
And you Tom, are very kind indeed!
Just beautiful as always.
That’s you Lois!
First one here woo hoooo
Excellent!
Love the blue bits
Thanks Joyce, me too!
Thank you Suarez… always fun to see you!
Swarez!
Haha!
You’re very welcome Marilyn!
very far to art
A matter of opinion. If Marcel Duchamp can say a urinal is art then I'm not that far away really...
So glad I found your channel! Love your tutorials, the simplicity of your style and use of "everyday" tools. I have been doing fluid art, which I love, but this is giving me something to think about with regular paints and abstracts. I'm looking forward to creating! This is a beautiful painting!
Now that has brought a smile to my face Ruthie! Thanks very much for that and good luck with your abstract journey! Keep in touch please...
Beautiful. 👍
Thanks Dana!
@@SwarezArt hey did I hear you correctly in that you trim some of your canvases down? If so, what are you doing with the remnants? Please don’t throw away, may be interesting to use in collage/ sculpture pieces…
@@danagayamerson8234 I have tried that before with mixed results. Some bits I keep and others I don't. Seriously, some are not good at all!!!
How wide is the blade
One is y inches and the other is 12 I think.
OMGG (oh my good God), this is beeee u it fullll.
Thank you so much!
Why is he wearing this helmed all the time?
Because the paints are toxic and I need to maintain a clean air supply.
@@SwarezArt thank you for the answer, what kind of paint do you use?
