I am so excited for this :> I swear watching ppl buy books gives me sooo much joy, love ur videos and bringing you luck on your big move soon:) (btw i heard ur into BTS , welcome to the army!)
This video makes me happy and sad! My country has been in and out of lockdown, I haven't been to a physical bookstore since last year. I buy books online but i miss actually going to a bookstore. Love your style btw!!
I admire your book buying as I try to only buy books that I will re-read again and that I will love. As for the rest I try to find on my library app especially the audiobook. Awesome video!
I use my local library for all books I can get through them. I like to buy copies of my favorite reads so I can support the author and more likely to reread them.
I went book shopping on Saturday and the store was absolutely PACKED. I had to leave and go back this morning, I was there right when they opened and was the first one in the store. Much better energy!
YESSS that American Gods cover is gorgeous! Stardust, Neverwhere, Anansi Boys and The Ocean at the End of the Lane also have covers with that vibe. The Neverwhere one, in my opinion, is droolworthy.
crying in H mart is definitely emotional and would be hard to read for some bc it talks a lot about death/dying from cancer in detail. i read it recently after losing my nana and cried so much but it was so comforting at the same time. i hope you enjoy it as much as i did! 🖤
@@lostinwonderart I know her style is so amazing. I've found a lot of her pieces, and they are pricey, but i get it cause Regan seems more like the type to invest in long term pieces. Which is awesome.
I live in a semi-small town but now we only have one local book store besides B&N and the look of it is probably most comparable to Books Are Magic in NYC based off of the video
Whaaat?? I had NO idea McNally Jackson had a seaport location. ALSO, is that a revamped Bluestockings? I think that used to be an old coffee shop?? I remember when Bluestockings was near Orchard St in LES. Wowow, as a fellow NYC’er I had no idea these places existed. Thank YOU!!
I've followed you for a while and I have to say I am really glad to see you picking up more BIPOC-authored books :) Enjoy! I'm so excited to see your moving vlogs (if you do make them)
A huge thank you for this video, it's so detailed and helpful! I really want to visit NYC and now I know in which bookstores go as well, thanks to this video! I hope you will do another video like this in your new city, it's so interesting so discover new bookstores :) Are there any other books with high presence of steampunk theme? I really want to read more books with that atmosphere :) Thank you once more Regan for this video and your contents! 🧡
Have you read the two short story prequels for A Master of Djinn? They are A Dead Djinn in Cairo and The Haunting of Tram Car 015. Both give you a really great introduction to the world and characters 😁
I really wish I could buy books like you guys, I really love reading books. If I tell my Parents they won't allow me to so I am saving up for it . I hope I can buy em soon ^^
Regan have you watched Flower Crew yet?? It is such a beautiful fantastical period drama with a strong female main character and a really believable and tragic romance. Plus, Kim Minjae at his best lol
Guuurrrlll! You're not supposed to be buying new books when you're going to just have to move them lol!! (Not saying I wouldn't do the same, but still lol)
If you’re interested in steampunk, an older series that I enjoyed was “The Tales of the Ketty Jay” series by Chris Wooding, the first book being “Retribution Falls”. Hope you can get a chance to check it out 😄
The second shop "f*ck Amazon" sign outside is everything.
That was hilarious 🤣
I laughed out loud when I read it
I mean, they helped lots of people get through the pandemic, but yeah fuck em right?
Thanks! ;D

I absolutely adore Monica's lime outfit!
sameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Honestly, unhauling just means room for new books and not to own fewer books 🤭
I have been watching “Come Book Shopping With Me” videos of different booktubers these days and I missed bookstores! Thank for this video dear!!
Monica's style is poppin'
This video makes us sooo happy!!
OMG I am in love with the "off voice" on the video. You were talking so calm and chill! Lovely lovely lovely!!

Yay, I’ve been waiting for this. On my next visit to NYC I plan to shop at several of these stores. 📚😀
McNally Jackson 😍 I'm also always so impressed by the selection at Books Are Magic considering it's such a small store!
Monica's style is on point, I love it!!!
omg i'm in canada but i just ordered from books are magic!! thank you so much for this,, it was so nice to see where my books are coming from :)

I am so excited to visit NYC later this year and go book shopping! Thanks for the recs!!
Joan He, the author of "The ones we're meant to find" also wrote "Descendant of the crane", an amazing stand alone fantasy!
I grow up in Brooklyn, many, many years ago. I still miss it so much, along with Manhattan.
I really wished you did a closet tour and tried on all the clothes you own and said where they were from! I love your style!
Agreed. She’s the only UA-camr that I’ve ever asked where she’s bought something she was wearing.

Clarice Lispector's "All Short Stories" @ 6:43 on the 10th shelf just left from the ladder. I love that book so much, spotted it right away ! :D
the BEST days!! 💓💓
I love that the ad before this video featured Reagan lol
you will not regret buying crying in hmart! Michelle Zauner is such an amazing person, writer, and musician!
I love your friend's style!
Omg the strawberry earrings 😍

We moved from Allen St to 116 Suffolk St during the pandemic! New, bigger, more accessible space :) Spreadhouse coffeeshop used to be here
@@bluestockingsnyc I am so happy to hear this! Love that you are utilizing the space and I’ll stop by when I’m down in LES :)

What is Monica’s channel? I love her outfits 🥺
I found her channel! Its monica kim :)
Thanks for sharing your experience
Imagine having a bookstore closer to you than 1.5 hours of driving. In my entire country are only 20 bookshops in total, and that's litteraly nothing
I always felt new york is boring but after this vedio I'll come to ny baby
Oops just added all of those books to my tbr..... once my ap tests and finals are done I need to do like a week long readathon so badly...
Damn it reagan I got three more books into my tbr!
So for the last bookstore are customers allowed to use the ladder or just employees?
Great vlog!!!! Happy reading to you!!
Watched the shopping part twice because honestly its just my dream to go book shopping in NYC
Loved this NYC book store shopping video!! Can you guys do one when you move to Texas? 😍
i miss NYC so much 😭
Do you still have a glasses USA page/code? Which glasses are you wearing in this video? They almost look like a copper color, very pretty :)
I LOVED a declaration of the rights of magicians. Cant wait to hear what you think!
