- Kate Bush is presented the Best Female Artist award by Ray Davies, and Peter Gabriel is presented Best Male Artist award by Kate Bush.
Kate Bush was winning for her Album "Hounds Of Love" which features the track "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God"), while Peter Gabriel was winning for his album "So" which features the hit "Sledgehammer"
Kate always is cute, shy, beautiful and classy. That look when she is told to stay and present award is so sweet. She is a shining pearl at the top of British music.
the most astonishing thing about both Kate and Pete is they pretty much created their own genres of art, both are more than pop stars more than vocalists more than musician
they are absolute artists

It was the most well deserved award of all time. I love you, Kate! You are a legend and a musical genius. Btw., Kate looks extremely beautiful in that dress, earrings and hairstyle. It's a little disappointing her acceptance speech was so short but I understand she was probably very nervous (she often seems shy) and doesn't feel well in this kind of galas.🙂

For some reason there seem to be alot of lecherous music hosts in the UK. Watch early interviews with her being spotlighted on several programs. They always want to grab her or get right up close and cosy. They are always surprised that she can calmly keep her composure and not let it bother her and she would always make them look like idiots in the end.

Hmm... is everything alright between PG and KB? Considering their musical collaborations over many, many years, namely his biggest hit "Don't Give Up," he doesn't even mention her in his speech. And at the end he barely looks at her while he's leaving the stage. As far as I know, they have never worked together again since.

Yes, both are geniuses. Incredible talent. I'm glad Peter Gabriel thanked Daniel Lanois, truely a master behind some of the best music ever. Like U2, Bob Dylan, Peter Gabriel, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, and so many more.

Thanks to John Alexander for putting a tape of "She Is Beautiful" in King's MG. According to Ant, they gave the tape to John Al to give to King and were so shy that they hid behind a tree as John Al dropped the tape in Jonathan King's car.
E' curioso notare che PETER GABRIEL quando ricevette il premio di miglior cantante ed artista maschile inglese nel 1987 ,il trofeo che ricevette si chiamava BRITANNIA AWARD ,guarda caso ,durante i concerti quando era con i GENESIS durante il tour dell' album SELLING ENGLAND BY THE POUND fra i suoi abiti di scena che indossava sul palco vi era anche quello di BRITANNIA che metteva per interpretare DANCING WITH THE MOONLIT KNIGHT e che lo introduceva proprio con le parole MY NAME IS BRITANNIA !!!!!!! Curiosa la cosa non vi pare ???
