Yes the story is great and the wait can be annoying, but you do have to play it shortly after release if you browse social media because of the rampant spoilers.

they really wanna showcase Ascheron's skill as an Emanator, offing an entire group of villains offscreen
Penacony's side quest with the lady at the clothing shop kinda broke me more than the main story - the joy at the ending, then finding out she's still there was quite realistic in a crushing way
Surely that's just a mistake.
Honestly the side quest is just better than the main quest, there's no contest between them.
As someone who has never stopped playing Star Rail - that "welcome back" stuff and guide is very cool and I had no idea it was even a thing. Awesome way to bring people back in
Sometimes i quit the game for the amount if time to activate that welcome back, the rewards in it self worth more than 14 days worth if rewards

I have a feeling everything was never a dream. I mean they said the Family BUILT all of those and even more areas still unfinished. The system reminded me of Avatar (movie), where you reside a new body and somehow what happened to that body also affect our body(?). If it's in the system of Inception (movie) the whatever to our body should've just wake us up.

HSR has lots of meme reference, dark stories, unique character designs (Please make Sam playable), endgame content, decent amount of rewards and tons of QoL. It has everything that Genshin lacks despite being 9 months old.

Named the wrong aeon Necrit Akivili is the aeon trailblaze, the path the pc follows. Nanook is the aeon of destruction

yeah the mc may be following the path of the trailblaze but has caught the gaze and power blessings from both destruction and preservation so far. even the annihilation gang and ipc havent caught their aeons gazes.

That writer is very VERY GOOD
He really writes deeps characters he knows how to make people connect to them and he also very good at make those characters fly high unfortunately a lot of characters are flying too high but
He really did a great job in penacony the constant mysterious aura in the story constantly pouring gasoline to already burning curiousity lf readers there's always question and hints but never the answer there's no apparent villian Because their actions are for their own goals that we doesn't know (accept the sparkle she's a follower of aha she's neutral she just wants joy)

Unfortunately story is 3 different parts and its gonna be frustrating because I'm probably gonna lost the effect of the story and there's some places that unnecessary extended most of them for gameplay puzzle things but still storywise penacony is very good but I finish it yesterday so I'm still amazed by it so I can't really see the negative things completely for now

HSR was my GOTY 2024 and I consider myself a hardcore PC gamer. I have 100%ed Penacony, cried at -you know when- and would like to mention that Sparkle did nothing wrong.
Sparkle did nothing wrong except being a xenophobic and terrible person, but I will say that’s okay because an unlikeable villain is part of a good story 😂

the story, the characters, the world building, the level design, the minigames, the new ennemies are all good and pretty inspired while showering us of wishes. really 10/10 update

@@MiiMavis Well if you pulled for Kafka and play DoT teams, the new character Black Swan propels them to godhood. Kafka literally went from meh to god like since her release in 1.2 update. Her lightcone "Patience is all you need" describes us Kafka mains as we watched her get better every patch since her release.
Also for those who wants to future proof from getting power-crept; getting Jingliu for DPS, Fu Xuan for tank and Ruan Mei for support (she is literally best universal easy to build/low investment support) are best choice.
@@MiiMavis Kafka is one of the most future proof DPS character. Black Swan made this even more evident.

i'm also a kafka main,@@rimuruimuru is right. The dot characters that were played with kafka were only 4* so that's kinda normal they got power creped. The only 5* that really got power creped for now is jing yuan

I get that most people who play the game probably dont care toooo much about the lore or atleast not the lore that is given outside of the main quests..but I can see maybe tectone reacting to the videos and thus it getting more traction, pls atleast consider it and start with a really interesting topic that hopefully pays of well views-wise and then you continue from there :D
He plais it casually, not really getting deep into the lore. I don't think it's worth the time for him to invest in this unless he will fall in love with the game after Penacony and want to do it for fun.

What I really REALLY loved about Penacony was the little easter eggs and references to old games such as Banjo and Kazooie or Sonic and so many more. I just love this game. It is a safe and happy place ❤

That just sounds like salt and a toxic attitude. A lot of people play both, and I wish that HSR had a lot of things Genshin has as well.
I'm just glad when content comes out and isn't shit. Luofu really sucked out a lot of the fun of HSR and I am glad to see it back in shape with Penacony. Hopefully it doesn't fall flat.
@@gamestory2834 Luofu was good and Genshin hasn't got anything better then star rail because they were pretty much the same layout on launch while genshin refuses to change things star rail keeps making adjustments to genshins formula. Can you actually name anything that genshin has over star rail besides obviously the gameplay difference
@@HollowHeart771 just my personal preference, but I enjoyed Fontaine's story over anything that HSR offered story wise. It's impressive how they made Furina into one of the most hated to the most beloved character in a single act. Characters like Neuvillette, Navia, Lyney, and Wriothesley also were very well crafted. The twists paid off well and Paimon wasn't even that annoying. She's gotten less annoying since Sumeru, although the biggest thing holding her and the traveler back is that she still often speaks on behalf of them. Penacony is shaping to be very interesting though, for sure, and I'm excited to see how the story will pan out. I disagree that the Loufu was good. It had a good premise, but was executed very poorly. Tingyun's death was just shock value like Signora's. Dan Heng's whole arc was very rushed, and most of the characters in the Loufu didn't get enough screentime or development. They should have had more stuff about the High Cloud Quintet instead of making it into animated trailers on youtube or keeping it locked behind Jingliu's quest. There was a lot of yapping that barely progressed the story. It did not help either how the interlude was hella short and they made us wait an entire patch just for 30 minutes of story that could have easily been added to the end of the previous act. Welt did not do anything at all either, which is very frustrating. The ending cutscene was very good, but that could not salvage what the story was.
I prefer the artifact system in Genshin than HSR's relics, although both are pretty trash. Having an offpiece really makes a difference. The self-modeling resin in HSR always gave me trash and it hasn't made a huge difference for me. Having to farm 2 different places for relics for the same character is also tedious. Especially since simulated universe is time consuming. Getting spd boots and energy regeneration ropes is one of the most frustrating things to get. You also have to worry about more stats like break effect, effect res, effect hit rate, etc. Leveling up traces is also far more expensive than it is in Genshin.
I think HSR has gotten a lot more right than what Genshin has but this is what I think Genshin did better.

The sidequests in Penacony were some of the darkest content we ever got lol. Chadwick's quest is honestly the most astonished I have been at any point of the Star Rail lore.

I have to give props to penacony for the great visual inspiration from Art deco and the nice occasional big band tracks that really sell the roaring 20s vibe of the setting.
I legit just downloaded it again because I was reminded of March 7 and I had no idea what the story was because i forgor but I still enjoy it because story is good and it's somehow not cringe and it's self aware.
"somehow not cringe" It's called not having a floating raspy voice flying mascot do all the talking in place of the MC. The MC in star rail actually has the ability to speak and think for him self which I can't stress how much that changes the story.

A little lore about Harmony and it folllowers. Although it is said people who follow the Xipe are very kind who welcome everyone with open arms, and do not wish for fight.
They are one of the craziest groups, their philosophy is "You either join the family or you are an enemy to the family" and also think that if a follower betrays the family, they're considered a sinner to be punished and should be hunted down. (Lore taken from SU and Swarm)

Penacony came out while I was on sick leave the whole week. It was amazing to bing a ton of Star Rail content in a week. I still have tons of side quests to do, but finished almost all exploration and treasures.
Took a break from Hoyoverse games for a few months but this got me back into Star Rail, love it Necrit!

Great video! Really nice to see you having fun with 2.0 as well. Totally agree about Sam. I don't like pulling for guys but I'd definitely be down to get Sam if he becomes playable. He reminds me a lot of the Gundam 00 aesthetics, which is my favorite of the Gundam shows.

this penacony story was probably one of my favourite stories i’ve ever played
the returning players’ metro station start feels familiar to the people belo horizonte (2 lines: outbound and inbound lol)
I love how the cars in Penacony will just run you over if you try to stop them like we did in Belobog with the streetcars. There are so many little nods to the player, its amazing
They did explain why you had to be clothed in the dreampool in the first pages of the Dreamscape Pass. The first two pages are basically the in-universe user manual of the Dreamscape, going over some dos and don'ts involving using the dreampools and the Dreamscape in general. One part warns that you basically spawn in wearing whatever you had on when you fell asleep... so wear nothing in the dreampool and you show up naked in the dream.

The walking on walls tech is possible probably because they're using the same foundation as the Genshin Unity engine, which supports the same technology during world quests and some quests
The shocking part is the walking are shown simultaneously with the glowing yellow slope, you can take step stop step another stop until you arrive at the wall that simultaneously became the floor.
Cmiiw, but I think in Genshin the floor swapping were happened off screen. Not streamline smoothly frame by frame shown to us happening.
Funny enough, it seem like they made testing for it using Honkai Impact beforehand with the Kolosten Arc

Honestly seeing how StarRail's narrative is so expansive and unique i would love to see Necrit actually cover more about it. It seems like his type of game with all the separate narratives and aeons. It would be really cool to have the lore covered and explained in one place and i don't see a better person to do it other then Necrit.

Keep it up. In my opinion, Penacony is peak scriptwriting and storytelling, it’s just… overwhelmingly incredible
@MagnusSorcererKing i'm very excited to hear that. I already loved Belobog and am only about 1 hour into the 2nd Planet rn (which I heard isn't as popular storywise). The writing in this game has been very engaging and fun so far. I'll definitely keep at it! :>
@@PKMono I personally love Loufu story(second planet), but it has a big flaw - it’s truly shines if a player is a lore nerd like me, who loves reading about aeons, many in game lore texts and so on. But without digging into it, Loufu lose quite a lot of its complexity and tragedy. But with help from lore tubers everything is achievable. So again, depends on personal tastes and preferences.
Anyway, have an outstanding journey beyond the stars!

I probably didn't even understand 1/3 of the inside joke and meme in the game or trailler, but when i reconize one it always make me smille.
On another note, having used Unity and it's pathfinding, it's not game breaking in the way they implemented them even if they didn't plan for it, since you can't jump or change what's "ground" at will, but it's always impresive when correctly implmented none the less.
