Thank you for the video, really inspiring. You might consider to mix the audio to both channels, that would be more pleasant when listening with headphones. Thanks for keeping the audio free of background music!
@Dauphin21x2 thank you for the comment, that's actually my next step as I didn't realize that my audio settings weren't carrying through correctly but I also got a better mic, will be trying it out in the next day or two, so stay tuned and thanks again for the feedback :)
Never been able to get the phone app to wotk when transferring files using barcode. Always get cannot locate network error If you have any tips please may you share. 😂 love the vids.
Interesting, I have not experienced this yet. I will say that my PC is hardwired to my router and then my phone is connected via wifi and it works well. My first guess or thought in your situation is wondering if potentially the two are on different bands (2.4ghz and 5 ghz) of your wifi (assuming you have a dual band router) as I have had that mismatch create issues on other products in the past, so that could be worth looking into. Just for the fun of it, I tried to transfer from my phone to the computer but with my wifi being off and as expected it didn't work, with the message "network connection failed". Outside of that my only thoughts are the more standard question, is there a firewall or antivirus/malware program that could be blocking access? A fun experiment for you could be what I just tried, and it worked to my surprise. Turn on your phones hotspot, connect your computer to your phones hotspot, then export/scan the QR code. For me it worked and that'd be a great way to narrow down where the issue might be coming from. Also thanks, its a bit of a process to put them together but I figured it'd be fun to share what I am learning and all the fun projects that you can do. I have a few more ideas for the next videos but I always welcome the feedback! :)
@CreativeCarrs Thank you. Your reply is helpful. Will try setting the phone as a hotspot. Cannot believe I did not think of that. After watching one of your videos I realised I could just use a USB c to USB c cable to run the scanner from my PC rather than the bulky cable supplied. Ordered a 3m data cable to test. Thank you again for your hard work.
@@3DPrintsOnline Happy I could help! Yes their cable is quite bulky, I am actually looking at sourcing (I have quotes from a few suppliers) a replacement lightweight cable/adapter that still screws into the back and makes it easy to switch between computer scanning and mobile scanning. Unfortunately the mass produce variants of a locking USB C cable don't fit the Otter, unless its modified. That being said, I also bought a 10ft/3M USB C cable extension and its very nice to use versus the stock cable. If you have any issues with your cable, feel free to come back and comment, I have started testing a few and realized they do not all perform the same, but TBH if the cable is well reviewed then its probably good.
