this comment section is goalssss I thought it would all be jokes but the people watching this video are actually ready to commit to this lifestyle, you have a great audience!
I'm going to quit the following two habits for 2020: 1. Cutting my wrists 2. Pushing people away I will do this by telling myself "I am not a cutter" and seeking healthier coping mechanisms for my mental health symptoms. And I will say "I am too deserving of love and have too much love to give to push people away anymore". Thank you for wishing me luck because I deeply, deeply needed this video today and the push to make the changes I so desperately seek for the new year and beyond. Edit: The first one will be really really hard and I can already feel the resistance from quitting it since I feel like it's my only coping mechanism, but I will try. Let's all push ourselves to be better!!
Good luck you beautiful human! I love you so so much!! I believe in you and know 100% your going to do it! Don’t give up if you have a slip up ❤️ it happened to ALL OF US. You are deserving of self love and happiness and I hope with all my heart you get that this new year. I’ve never been so proud of someone I’ve never met before, it takes strength to start a new chapter in your precious life! I’m right by your side 🌻👑❤️
In 2020 I want to: -travel to Italy -save save save! -grow my relationship with God -eat less to no dairy and eat healthier -start planning my wedding -stay connected with my friends
Hayley Kotulak I love your goals. I just got a book from Target called the weekly faith project and it gives you an activity to journal once a week for the whole year to help you commit and grow deeper in your faith. There’s a weekly prayer one as well. It might help on growing your relationship with God.
What I want to reach in 2020 : 1.Save The earth more 2.Read daily. 3.grow my relationship with god. 4.Be more positive 5.be more calm I hope I can get to my goal! 🥺💞
i’m 14 years old and striving for a life like aileen’s! thank you aileen, you’ve greatly impacted me and i’m really glad i stumbled upon your channel a few months ago. you’ve been inspiring me to become a better person, i’ve finally stepped out of my depression zone and am going to start caring and loving myself! 2020 is going to be an amazing year~
15 years old here!! Stumbled across this channel two years ago and it has changed my life ever since. I'm still fighting with my depression and anxiety but I know I'll keep pushing and soon a sunny day will come after all these days of rain. I hope you have a fabulous 2020 filled with blessings and joy!
I'm 24, still no job, no qualifications,no car, no friends, no achievements etc meaning I'm extremely behind my peers and those younger than me. I've never been on a holiday. I can't even afford the train. No one is offering me a job plus my parents give me no freedom. I still have a lot of undiagnosed health and skin issues. I still have a lot of depression. I still have a plethora of problems. I always set early alrsms, and structure my days as though I'm in a job but I'm not getting anywhere. I meditate and write lists daily. I go for walks. I try being nice as possible. I'm keeping my comment very brief as the reality is very complex and a mere comment cannot explain what I'm enduring. I have been a long time viewer and really enjoy your perspectives and high quality content. I just wish I too could be half as successful.
Tell yourself your successful and develop a happier mindset. I am only a teen oblivious to adult problems. But attitude is EVERYTHING. I can’t really help, but I wish you the best! 😊✨
I understand how you feel. I felt that way a lot during my mid-late 20s. Sometimes I still feel like that, but I think this is something a lot of people in their 20s go through. It's hard to not compare yourself to others, especially friends and family, but think about what you've done so far, even the little things. If you're a student, maybe get involved with some clubs to meet like-minded peers and participate in volunteer activities. Even if you're not a student, a good way to get experience would be to volunteer with community organizations/events. You'll meet others who are like you and you can befriend them. Eventually you'll gain experience and references that you can put on your resume to help you get a job. Hope that helps!
I felt that. I’ve sometimes had to start with gratitude for what I have. ‘ breath, sight, sanity etc. and then build up from there. What you have right now will help you get to the next level.. intentional baby steps ..
Obviously you still have a very negative mindset. You say you have "no job, no qualifications, no car, no friends, no achievements, you aren't as high up as your peers/ those younger, you can't afford a train, no job offering, no freedom from parents, health problems, depression etc.." No matter how much you mediate and script, it will amount to zilch if you are always complaining about what you dont have. You do have a healthy working body (from what I assume), a smart enough brain, food, shelter, and something more important than friends; yourself. I'm sure majority of the things you are spouting are things that you've been told or are secretly internalizing. Go slow, it doesn't have to be everything at once . Work on healing yourself in 2020. There is no better time than the present. Stop comparing yourself to others. Ask the universe for an incredible job opportunity and wait. She has slowly been building this life for herself. Dont look at the end result and count yourself out.
The bad habit I would like to break: I make critical comments about strangers and actors. I don't want to teach my children this habit (like my dad taught me).
Try this instead: look at strangers and actors and try to find something you like about them. Consciouslly forcing yourself to do that and repeating it will really help you rewire your brain.
I am already impressed that you are self-aware about this habit! It is a great first step. Something I do is I try to find 3 ways I can compliment someone before I judge them. This is also something I do to not be too critical of myself.
That's such a wonderful goal, love it! We are conditioned as a society to see what's wrong with everything to show we are paying attention or to prove we are smart. If we can look at others and say one thing we appreciate about them and remember everyone is doing the best they can with the information they've been given and what has led them to this point. Be kind you never know what a person is going through. Happy New Year!
One problem I always seem to personally face with the whole “live with positivity thing” is the fact that I sometimes feel like its forced... like when I genuinely dont feel positive, I force it and that just makes me feel worse. I feel like the dreamy and fantasy-like side of things just makes me feel worse, I hope I make sense.
@Frances Riame thank you so much I really needed to hear that. I've been struggling with that for so long and I'm glad that it's ok to have a bad day as long as I recover. Thank you!!
I agree. Sometimes , if you even say one negative thing, someone will call you negative, or tell you cliche things like "cheer up" or "you'll get over it", or "many people have it worse than you". I have also been told "Well, you have a roof over your head and food in your belly". True, but I don't think others should try to invalidate someone's feelings. Telling someone people in North Korea have it worse than you, for example, will not make you feel better. We are human beings. We need to be able to feel human emotions, even the negative ones like sadness, anger, etc. It's what makes us real and human. Real humans.
In 2020 -I will have 2 hours of screen time everyday(I feel sometimes so stuck bc being on my phone for hours) -I will work on my eating disorder, eat more and healthy 💛 -Im going to step out of my comfort zone, and really get some more social life. People are really important in our lives, and im really lonely usually. -Saving money and not buying stuff that I dont need. (I have already stopped buying too much clothes, only when I need them). Its really nice to open your closet when it is clear and you know you like all of the clothes there. ☺️ So guys lets be the people who really do work on them new year promises! Happy new year everyone!
here are some of my goals for 2020: • learning to love myself • being more fit and losing weight • little to no procrastinating, being more serious about school • commit to UA-cam / making videos • starting my online shop and finally - • fixing my sleeping schedule These are so difficult but I really want to change for the better . I can not stress how these past few years have affected me . I really hope 2020 will be my year !
Decluttering is LIFE CHANGING!!! Smalls habits truly has the biggest changes! Planned grocery list is KEY! It definitely helps having healthier food options at home. From a self love content creator to another - Awesome video Aileen! 💕
This really motivates me a lot. 2019 has been my steping stone, i already try to change my lifestyle but it ends up to fail and it really made me feel bad, but i realize that's it's okay. It's just a start and i should not be afraid to try more until i achieve it. I promised myself that 2020 will be my year, this year i will apply everything i've learned. I am so excited to enter another gate for more adventures. Thank youuu!!
I feel like in a way we’re always setting the foundation for new things to come so don’t be hard on yourself! The fact that you want to change and are aware of what’s working and what isn’t is already a sign that you’re doing great and are on the right path! 🤗 2020 is gonna be amazing! I wish you the absolute best for it ❤️
my goals for -2020- -eat healthier -adapt good habits, such as making my bed every morning -start a journal -read more -drink more water -have a clean mind 🌞
These ideas help me a lot. Thanks Aileen My 3 habits to quit: - Smoking - Care too much about what others think - Afraid to say NO to what i don't want.
My main goal for 2020 is to stay clean the entire year. I’m already two months clean so I hope this will go well. I also hope to ease my anxiety and get a healthier relationship with food and exercise. I wish the mental illnesses I have would just go away, but I realize that I need to take the first step myself. I plan on deleting social media, reading and drawing more, expanding my knowledge of the world and mainly spending more time with the people I love.
2019- I learned how to develop a commitment to my health. I wake up every day at 4:15 and I hit crossfit at 5. I bring my best self to work. And when I clock out m I’m focused on my family time . 2020- I’m going to be clear on where this new journey is going to go . I’ve been wanting to develop myself as a life coach or fitness coach or a combo of both . I’ve been on an alcohol fast from mid November to the end of the year and I feel so clear on the journey.
As someone who has spent the last two years decluttering, what I find now is that rearranging a room, a desktop, a bookshelf, creates new paths for energy flow equal to what decluttering had provided. As I do this, I also notice which (if any) things no longer resonate.

Be vulnerable 8. Commit to cutting one bad habit from your life 9. Make peace with your past 10. Be present Great video! Hope these notes help
My friends and I are doing a creative trip where we road trip every month in 2020 to a new place in our state. The original idea is to take pictures and have a huge collage at the end but it'll be a great time.
I've made the mistake of setting numerous goals to the point that I become intimidated and end up never getting round to completing them. So for 2020 I have one goal: to be at peace with myself. Nothing more, nothing less.
My goals for 2020 :- Study hard Get your dream job Be independent Start travelling .........in short start a new whole dream life that you always wanted.
My new year resolution that I can actually do as a 12-year-old: read 75 pages of a book every day, study for 45-60 minutes every day, don't eat over 800 calories, or if it has to be stretched, then to 1000 calories, drink 8 cups of water every day, don't eat junk food or high sugary foods, like chocolate, eat less carbohydrates, do 4 workouts every day, keep room as tidy as possible, wash body every day, hair every few days ( washing hair too much is bad for it) and have at least 7-8 hours of sleep every night.
my 2020 goals ✨✨ - commit to a healthier lifestyle-but NO dieting as i had an eating disorder for 3 years due to that - spend less time on social media - read more - be less negative towards yourself and others - spend more time with my family and pets - don't spend as much money irresponsibly - stick to a study schedule and work hard in school - avoid procrastination - wake up earlier - love myself 💖
This 2020 I want change - be healthy - stay away from negativity - get out of my comfort zone - get away with anxiety - be a better person - not be lazy - be active
I like staying up late because I like the quiet alone time I get when everyone is asleep, yet I need to get up ridiculously early to take care of my responsiblities, so I usually end up getting very little sleep or reaching to work late or being stressed out from being around people who always seem to want something when I'm trying to calm frazzled nerves. 1) So my goal this year is to get my eight hours of sleep and to get my R&R through small pockets of mindful relaxation. (Enjoying a delicious cup of tea, watching the sun set, feeling dirt run between my fingers and toes) Just to get out of my head and worries for a while. 2)I'd also like to start jogging 3)do Nanwritmo this year to draw a grahic novel 4)cook healthily with less wastage. 5) Be more honest, aware and present and not let anxiety control my life. 6) Travel my island and try new foods 7) Work on my relationships.(I can be very distant so I will be following some of your tips. Hopefully I can be open and present with them.) 9)Hold myself accountable whenever procrastination and depressive thought sits in (connected to no. 5) 10) Save 11) Create a relaxing atmostphere by keep my surroundings clean.
I am actually studying abroad in Costa Rica this year! I am super excited to do something that I have always wanted to do and learn about that culture!
In 2020 I want to ~get organized in all aspects of my daily life ex. School, home, mental state, Arts ~get a job ~stop being scared of interacting with people ~start going to the gym ~stop binge eating

Gosh. I just discovered your channel from meditation and started watching your other videos. You have such a positive vibe. You’re like the positive friend I never had. Thank you for being here and guiding us.
I feel like this year it was the year I was the laziest and wasted my time the most, so I plan to be more productive and just not wasting my life on this new decade ✨
a positive habit i want to start this year is stop putting myself down and talking negatively about myself. i want to accept myself for who i am, and believe that i am a beautiful human being
I send you alot of love energy and gratitude 😍❤️❤️❤️❤️ it was a great pleasure getting to know you ... hope this new year will be the enlightenment year of the humanity 🌞⭐️⭐️🌞🌞🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
my goals for this year include: - learning to love myself for who I am - grow closer with God - grow stronger relationships - read more books - focusing on health - decluttering & staying organized
My goals for 2020: • live a more healthier lifestyle • stop procrastinating and actually get things done • read more and less mobile • finish my Bachelor and start Masters • wanna be more myself and actually say what I think! Let’s see... maybe 364 days later I am a new person thanks to this video and this lovely comments section which motivated me to think about all the things I wanna change for a more happier and peaceful life ♥️♥️♥️
I tried no meat for 15 days in Nov I felt so good literally energetic and calm, beautiful...😍 Seriously And I am decluttering my space I'm trying to HV a gud morning routine also💃🏻💃🏻☀️
I cant actually believe what i saw. This women is a definition of success, courage and strength. I am so far from this, need to change a lot in my mind and my around but im on my way. It was all so obvious but I couldn’t just catch and sum it all together, thank you for letting me now this. Ill try and i know im able to do what needs to be done
I recently started cleaning my room and throwing out things that I don't need anymore. I never imagined feeling better after doing this when I have been going through depression. I am almost done with decluttering and recreating my room and I am getting better and better each day. This video is one of the many videos that is giving me joy to know that the future will always be bright no matter how many obstacles that may occur
Number 8 is very solid advice. I need to not dwell in negative situations. When I bring up the negative topic it becomes a vicious cycle, plus it pisses other people off. Telling myself that I am a positive thinker is a great idea.

Last year I became a vegan, this year I'm quitting my job and starting to live for real. I'm so done with my bitterness and my laziness, time to throw a punch to those toxic habits.
I am 18 years old I want to Change my life.. 1 Adopt a healthy diet(I am too weak in my health so now I will do exercise, meditation, eat healthy breakfast) 2 create a better morning routine( I am morning owl I love to wake up 4 am ) 3 travel new place( I will travel Goa in this year) 4 commit to read daily(I love to read something I will read inspired book ) 5 declutter your life (I will always clean my room and my home and my study table) 6 depen your relationship(I will focus my relationship with allah ) 7 be vulnerable (speak deeply) 8 cut one bad habit (I will remove my angry Ness) 9 make peace in your past ( I forgive all people and also myself for my past ) 10 be more present in your life (I will not use much social media) I pray to Allah you always happy alien thanks a lot for giving me this information ❤❤❤
I suggest you start with one place or region. Once you've done that, the rest of the world is available. You can travel - by planning a couple of years in advance or more - for the rest of your life. So pick a place that resonates with you. Have you always wanted to go to London or Paris? Then, make a 6 day trip. Have you always wanted to see the Grand Canyon or go horseback riding in the desert? If you want a European feeling, but think it is too far from the U.S., then go to Quebec City. Remember Aileen advises that we start with baby steps. Each step makes the next one easier.
@@mirandamorrison9033 i know, i travel a lot in europe, my dream is to come to US 😍 i'm currently on a backapcking trip through se asia, 2 months in, just arrived to the Philippines and it's amazing 😍 but i guess the more you travel, the more you WANT to travel 😅 thanks for advice anyway (:
This video was so fulfilling to watch. 😊 Some of my goals are to: -travel to LA for the first time -go back to a fully plant based lifestyle -develop a regular exercise regimen again -read and write more again -save more & invest as well -move to a new apartment & city before the end of the year
This comment section hold so many people trying to let go of traumatic experiences and trying to take better care of themselves. I wish you all nothing but the best and I hope you can change for the better. 💞
2020? I'm actually getting ready to go back to school and im trying to change my small bad habits. I hope I can change this year. I hope everyone a good year! 😊❤
What i need to changed in 2020: - I need to care less about what people think about me - I need to become more comfortable and feel Bette in my own body ( lose weight mainly ) - I need to eat healthier and drink more water - Go outside more rather then staying inside 24/7 - Less electronic time and more reading books - Get Rid of my bad habits - NO DRAMA AT SCHOOL - Be wise of who I befriend and only hve few close friends - Declutter my life - Stop involving myself in drama - Focus on myself more then others - don't try to be like someine else be myself - Deeping my friendships - Not worry about DATING and more about MYSELF I hope everyone who sees this has an amazing 2020! I love you all! :)
How exactly do you make a new friend, especially as an adult? It's not my main priority right now, as I have tons/years of work to compensate for and catch up on, but having human connection to good people would be truly appreciated.
you can try joining clubs, like a reading club, a choir, a dancing lesson or other groups with people your age. Than you can invite them to dinners or to go out after those clubs and then conect. (Sorry if thinks are confusing, I am from Brasil and therefore am not 100% at english)
habits i want to break: criticizing myself constantly. i need to be kinder to myself. and being on my phone constantly. it consumes my life and fuels my habit of comparing myself to others. goals i have for the year: 1. stop eating meat. i love animals and i feel hypocritical eating meat, and then saying i love animals so much. 2. become more confident in myself. 3. grow my relationship with god 4. deepen my friendships, and connect more with people.
I am 21 now. I have been your videos regularly since 2017, and I am so happy that you have helped me so much in changing my habits so much. I still watch your videos with so much enthusiasm of learning new things. keep sharing. I m your big fan.
Watching this in August 2021 in a full lock down and it really resonates powerfully on what we can do now as well as how much we need in person connections.

That’s beautiful :))
I'm going to quit the following two habits for 2020:
1. Cutting my wrists
2. Pushing people away
I will do this by telling myself "I am not a cutter" and seeking healthier coping mechanisms for my mental health symptoms.
Gabrielle, I wish you all strength and power to overcome these bad habits

I felt that. I’ve sometimes had to start with gratitude for what I have. ‘ breath, sight, sanity etc. and then build up from there. What you have right now will help you get to the next level.. intentional baby steps ..
Obviously you still have a very negative mindset. You say you have "no job, no qualifications, no car, no friends, no achievements, you aren't as high up as your peers/ those younger, you can't afford a train, no job offering, no freedom from parents, health problems, depression etc.."
No matter how much you mediate and script, it will amount to zilch if you are always complaining about what you dont have.
I couldn’t stop focusing on how much footage you had to record to make this. Mad respect
Who's ready to MASTER 2020?!! I am :)
Meeeeee
I am going to really try😁
Me🙋
Me 💪💪💪💪💪💪
YAAS!✨
The bad habit I would like to break: I make critical comments about strangers and actors. I don't want to teach my children this habit (like my dad taught me).
Try this instead: look at strangers and actors and try to find something you like about them. Consciouslly forcing yourself to do that and repeating it will really help you rewire your brain.
@@eva9996 I was trying to think of a replacement habit. Thank you!
yes i really should stop, afterwards i feel so guilty
Rose Twala we all have those bad times, its better to know you aren’t in a positive mood than force yourself to be positive
@lovelyvegan princess Telling someone to not be sad cos others have it worse is like someone telling you not to be happy because others are happier
@@rosed_and_all Exactly. Even worse is, "suck it up". I hate that one.
In 2020
-I will have 2 hours of screen time everyday(I feel sometimes so stuck bc being on my phone for hours)
-I will work on my eating disorder, eat more and healthy 💛
-Im going to step out of my comfort zone, and really get some more social life.

2020 is gonna be amazing! I wish you the absolute best for it ❤️
wishing you the best year in 2020!! make it a great one :)
My perfect morning routine is to start with praying, honestly it's like a shift button for me, and I immediately pray the other 4 times during the day
Ma sha Allah
Masha Allah , exactly that happens automatically ❤️:')
my goals for -2020-
-eat healthier
-adapt good habits, such as making my bed every morning
-start a journal
-read more
-drink more water
-have a clean mind 🌞
These ideas help me a lot. Thanks Aileen
My 3 habits to quit:
- Smoking
- Care too much about what others think
- Afraid to say NO to what i don't want.
*Quarantine: Whoopity whoop, this year is mine.*
*Enjoy your morning*
Me waking up for school: *hell nAw*
The fourth way to change your life is to commit to reading daily
Me: Wattpad
And that's ok! Honestly alot of wattpad stories are well written and thats what will encourage you to read that's great.
As I do this, I also notice which (if any) things no longer resonate.
so true 💕
I had a pretty bad 2019 so I am going to attempt and try to have a better year next year!
MICKY _THE_RUTABAGA yep u go girl( or boy)!

1. Adopt a healthier diet
2. Design a better morning routine
3. Travel to a place you have never been before
4. Commit to reading daily
5. Declutter your life
6. Deepen your relationships
7. Be vulnerable

9. Make peace with your past
10. Be present
Great video!
You are enough.
@@happyfrenchfries I don't think so. I've never accomplished anything useful in my life
But thanks anyway

3:35 Where do you wanna travel this year?
corona: no
lol yup
lol
The world needs more people like you. You're like my therapist. My love for you is growing day by day.
My goals for 2020 :-
Study hard
Get your dream job
Be independent
Start travelling
.........in short start a new whole dream life that you always wanted.
I'm ready for 2020. I definitely need to stay away from negative people.
Stay away from positive people this year because positive = corona 😂
These comment section has the most positive comments made me really get in to the video
I'm so excited for 2020. I'm starting my new years resolutions early.
Where you from?
my 2020 goals ✨✨
- commit to a healthier lifestyle-but NO dieting as i had an eating disorder for 3 years due to that
- spend less time on social media
- be less negative towards yourself and others
- spend more time with my family and pets
- don't spend as much money irresponsibly
- stick to a study schedule and work hard in school
- avoid procrastination
- wake up earlier
- love myself 💖
This 2020 I want change
- be healthy
- stay away from negativity
- get out of my comfort zone
- get away with anxiety
- be a better person
- not be lazy
- be active
2)I'd also like to start jogging
3)do Nanwritmo this year to draw a grahic novel
4)cook healthily with less wastage.
5) Be more honest, aware and present and not let anxiety control my life.
6) Travel my island and try new foods
7) Work on my relationships.(I can be very distant so I will be following some of your tips. Hopefully I can be open and present with them.)
9)Hold myself accountable whenever procrastination and depressive thought sits in (connected to no. 5)
10) Save
11) Create a relaxing atmostphere by keep my surroundings clean.

Number 8 is very solid advice. I need to not dwell in negative situations. When I bring up the negative topic it becomes a vicious cycle, plus it pisses other people off. Telling myself that I am a positive thinker is a great idea.

Lavendaire: where do you want to travel this year?
Me: everywhere 😂

How exactly do you make a new friend, especially as an adult? It's not my main priority right now, as I have tons/years of work to compensate for and catch up on, but having human connection to good people would be truly appreciated.
you can try joining clubs, like a reading club, a choir, a dancing lesson or other groups with people your age. Than you can invite them to dinners or to go out after those clubs and then conect. (Sorry if thinks are confusing, I am from Brasil and therefore am not 100% at english)
habits i want to break: criticizing myself constantly. i need to be kinder to myself. and being on my phone constantly. it consumes my life and fuels my habit of comparing myself to others.
goals i have for the year:
1. stop eating meat. i love animals and i feel hypocritical eating meat, and then saying i love animals so much.
2. become more confident in myself.
3. grow my relationship with god
4. deepen my friendships, and connect more with people.
That theology about reading books was very interesting.
I am 21 now. I have been your videos regularly since 2017, and I am so happy that you have helped me so much in changing my habits so much. I still watch your videos with so much enthusiasm of learning new things. keep sharing. I m your big fan.
