Cool video! Very nicely explained. Hopefully it is even clearer how it works now, with players being able to choose which option they want before milling, comparing and contrasting before accepting. :) My squad worked very hard to bring Automilling 2.0 to you this month, and we've been delighted to see the response now that it is released!
Hi, Great video but some questions remain unanswered. Now that the options are out and in use in ‘the wild’ perhaps the video could be updated to cover the aspect of milling below which doesn’t appear to be covered either in this video, or anywhere else that I’ve seen as yet… I have a number of gold cards that simply can’t be milled. I presume that these are classified as ‘starter set’ cards and as such can’t be removed/milled. That said, I now have quite a number of the same cards in the premium version. I would surmise that most players would want to use the premium version of the card during game play rather than the standard version. Obviously, like most people, I want to keep the premium version of the card as opposed to the non-premium/standard version. Having looked into the new Automill System when your recommended setting of ‘Resource Focused’ is selected I’m being offered a further 300 meteorite powder above the milling settings for ‘Standard’. I haven’t committed to either milling process at this stage but it does appear that the premium version of these gold cards are going to be milled. So much for ‘with a preference to keep premium versions of cards.’!! I wonder how many people have been caught and lost a number of highly valued premium cards based on the misguided description of the ‘Resource Focused’ milling option. Perhaps CD PROJEKT ought to look at the ability of transferring the ‘Starter Deck’ designation to a Premium version of the card once obtained or offering players a choice of which of the two versions of each card is to be designated as ‘Starter Deck’ and locked against milling accordingly. I’d be interested to hear how many people have been caught out, how many would/do prefer to use premium cards when available in their decks, and how many people think that being able to transfer the ‘Starter Deck’ designation to a newly acquired premium version of the card would be a good idea. If enough people want this perhaps it’s something that could be put forward to CD PROJEKT. Kristian Chelminski - your thoughts would be appreciated here also.
So sometimes you can choose to strategically add a non-premium copy into your deck for the purposes of tracking which card is which, particularly when playing leader abilities or cards where you can look into your deck. Your average player doesn't usually worry about that though. The only other reason you might want to keep extra copies is if you want a 'full collection' for the purposes of... being a collector. Other than those two reasons, I'm not sure why anyone would need more than two copies of any given bronze card, regardless of premium/non-premium.
@@apero9467 I would have never thought of that and I'm definitely your average player because I can't even think of what ability you'd use that with 😂 Thanks for the fleshed out reply!
Also, while it's increasingly-rare, cards can sometimes be milled for their full scrap value for a short time after a nerf or major change. This is why a lot of older players never milled their spares and also why I wish we could just turn off auto-milling.
It’s weird how the milling settings work. Once you have two premium bronze tier cards, it still keeps two copies of the standard cards instead of milling them.
But I do usually have alot of the same cards in my deck because they're useful and they are great when u have many of then, especially with the Nilfgaardian faction in my experience
This is what im trying to solve, back then i got king of beggar standard ver from a cage, then a couple week later i got another copy, and somehow i have the premium ver, even tho i never buy premium cage nor transmute it
What is the purpose of keeping 4x of the same card with the premium focused version then? How does that help get premiums if you have 4x of a non-premium? Edit: ah okay, it's so you can transmute two of them of later into premiums.
They're unfortunately not available yet and we're not sure when they'll be introduced. Hang tight! I'm hoping next season (in ~2 weeks) should be it :)
This is it. FUCK CD PROJECT RED. Cyberpunk was my favorite game and I've been playing since day one. I love witcher 1 2 and 3 but now gwent won't load properly?? I've spent money on this game and it won't work properly!? I gave it a chance after it was so different, bought the kegs and now it won't work in GOG or Steam. FUCK THEM. I"m DONE

Hey Kristian, thanks for the comment: I'm sorry I only spotted it now! Glad you liked the video too :)

Thanks for explaining that better than CDPR did! Also, if you don't do voiceover work, you should!
4:50 What strategic reasons are to have non-premium cards?
*guessing* it can help the card holder count cards. Good for bonded units or cards like the monsters succubus
Great explanation, I'll take your recommandation :)
Thank you for this. I wish it was like the beta, and you could just craft premiums with 2x the scrap!
958th eel conduit, coming in! May you have more subs. :)
Oh! What reasons would there be for Keeping extra standard copies?

@@Debatra. oh interesting, so you could really fill out your collection if the system glitches like that
I keep em for collection's sake
where can I acces that setting?? I only saw the choice once when I entered deck builder

I always thought 4 extra copies will transmute into premium version. Silly me 😞😞

I honest to gawd have no idea what people mean when they say, "into the mill"
The mill?
What's milling?

@@apero9467 i was just wondering what type of cards would you use for a wild hunt deck
