Thanks. I can’t remember the weight of the knife but here’s a long form video from my channel for more details n making a sheath. Thanks for watching! How to make a leather knife sheath ua-cam.com/video/Baj33azWBJ4/v-deo.html
Yes you can make them like I did when I started many years ago with a sharp razor knife, hole punch for the threads and hand sew them. I still hand sew them. My leather working tools are still very primitive
@@TonySeverioKnives oh, then I think it might work fine, my leather has 2 sides, one is hairy and the other is smooth, which sides do i stick together? It's 1.5mm thick
You're awesome dude!
Thank you. 😁😁
Nice work. Ill use this video to make mine. How heavy is the knife? Always wanted to forge one.

@6footmidget214 you’re welcome 🙂
Can some one without any of the special tools (or skills) make a sheath for a kitchen knife? What is the most important tools needed to make a sheath?

Very good. if you are in Thailand. I will study this with you.
No I’m a long way from there. 😂
I'm sure he's from Thailand 😆
😂😂😂
Can i use thin leather? Like maybe stack it on top of another with glue to make it thick enough?
That may work. I’ve never done a whole sheath but I have doubled up for the welt

You mean it’s leather with the hair still left on it? The smooth sides will stick to each other but hairy to hairy will be a mess and look terrible
@@TonySeverioKnives no, it's the side where people strope their knives and tools to get a razor edge, i call it hairy my apologies
Oh I got you. Yeah then yes they would definitely stick together. That’s just the unfinished sides. They will stick good.
