FANTASTIC video as always! Thank you for all of the high quality information on this and every video you put out! Thank you for being such a inspiration in the knife making world!
Awesome work. I've made a couple leather and wooden sheaths. But never kadex .but i lost a knife out of a kidex sheath and have another knife that fits pretty good. But it was to lose so I contact glued a leather strip inside. It worked great. And I've been carrying it for months and no troubles
Nice video! If you leave the straps off you can also use as a neck knife with para cord through one of the rivet holes but I'm sure you already know that, thanks for the video.
The foam in your press, is it the same type of foam as in “gardeners kneeling pads”, the large rectangular ones? I have made some rough sheaths/axe masks out of thin wall pvc, and I have been shaping them to the tools with my fingers with my hands (tea towel to protect from the heat).
Nice job Jeremy, I did a kydex sheath video on my channel this weekend as well. Certainly not as well as yours, but I'm new to the filming aspect and video editing.
Hi Jeremy , I’m a beginner knife maker. I have just made a filing jig following gough customs instructions. I am struggling with the angle of the bevels and the plunge line do you think you could make a video about this and also what grit sandpaper should I use for hand sanding the knife
I'm new to knife making Too. Just applying several coats of tung oil to my guest blade. I had series problems grinding the bevel using a 2x42 grinder. I just couldn't get things even. I ended up doing a full flat grind and my blade is fillet knife thin. Lol Anyway, I think Jeremy will say it's all about practice and finding what works best for you. Finishing up the final grind on my second knife, and failing, I tried the push stick method I saw Sam Towns, Bkadesmith channel and it were for me. As for your plunge lines, make or get a fileguide. Check Out RedBeardOps, he makes one
Hey Jeremy I wanna see your forge a knife, something out of a block of steel drawn out, etc etc. with that said I love your work really love it . I k ow your photography background plays a role in your videos , very nice . PeAce from Australia !
Talk about art work. Your knife making vids are just mesmerizing, I came across your channel during covid lock down and have subscribed, I have also forwarded your vids to a lot of my friends who I do fishing with and they are crazy about your knife making skills. How can we purchase your knives?

To cut the webbing, heating a non-sharp metal tool with a torch, like a putty knife, cuts and cauterizes in one step. Same idea, an ice pick makes clean holes
Hola Amigo; de qué espesor es tu Kydex ?? 2 mm ?? Con Kydex de 1 mm, se podrá hacer una funda ?? Gracias por tu tiempo. Un abrazo desde Ecatepec, México 🇲🇽
Every sheath I make scratches my knives, even though it seems to fit well. I've even tried not riveting them on one side until I'm all done sanding, then wash them out and wipe them down, rivet, aaaand hairline scratch. So loose it rattles and it still scratches my blades.
Jeremy: One thing I always struggle with is the spacing from the edge of the blade to the center of the eyelet. Would you mind shedding some light on that? I think I may be going too far from the edge based on this video.
Jeremy I use the soft side of Velcro (glued) inside my sheath. Never have a scratch and use a tension screw if need be. Thank you, for all for all you do. I have LEARNED A LOT from your videos. Your excellent 😃! PS. My wife gave me permission to use my whole 2 car garage any suggestions??? Again Thank You Tom Chetney I’m on Instagram under Tomsknives
7:52 Jeremy, when ever I accidently scratch brass rivets, I use Birchwood Casey Brass Black liquid to blacken the rivet.
I hope Jeremy follows you. The both of you are incredible knife makers
Great idea! Thank you my friend! 👍
Very nice My friend! You and Slavic Tely should collaborate on a project! You both ROCK!!!
Dude you're still killing it !! So good !
Thank you so much, I appreciate that 👍

Really appreciate that you teach your techniques, you're a great teacher. Thanks man!
This was a great video!! You did a really good job making this process as simple as possible!
Thank you!
I use a fabric pencil and I wait to set my eyelets until after I finish sanding. That way I can wash out the sheath or holster with soap and water.

Thanks for sharing! Excited to get back into the shop to try some of these techniques!
This will be the year of the "Boot knife"🤘🤘🤘
Yeah!!!
Thanks for sharing your process! This seems almost doable for me. Love the idea of using my drill press to set the rivets.
Excellent advice, thanks for sharing. I'm still working with basic leather for sheaths but I would like to Branch out eventually
Great job I love how the sheath turned out keep up the good work
great video! Congrats
Thank you!
Wow! great video and very informative... Thanks!

It is just really a neat skill you have. I love the videos.
Absolutely fantastic video, concise and highly understandable. I would love to try it someday. Thanks.
Classy little blade that. Nice
Love you're channel dude
Thank you so much, I appreciate the compliment. And, thank you for watching! 👍
Great idea! What hardware do you use for doing this technique?

Great material choice for belt loops. More grip on the belt than leather to leather. ✌
Great photos on the outro.
Good job and nice to watch & listen to. Thanks for the interesting content! 👍Regards from Germany, Hubertus
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that. Cheers 👍
Do you not put knives on your website anymore? Ive tried reaching out to order a street scalpel a couple times but havent had any luck.
great job brother, chears from Croatia
Sweet knives! Those might even work as a nice neck knife.
Great video.

I like to use aluminum hvac tape for clearance on blades myself.

@@flmoose1 what angle should i use on my bevels
I use a heat gun to do final shaping and smoothing the edges. much easier, faster than sanding, buffing.
Where does that coated webbing come from? Also, would you know anywhere to get copper kydex rivets? I can only find black, brass, and silver.

How much would you charge to make a custom sheath for a Tops Knives Unzipper that could be carried tracker style and vertical?
The lighter you use, where do you get the case for it?
Good job thanks
I'm thinking about sending you a couple of knives for sheaths. You do stuff for free right? And you cover shipping to & from? 😁😉
😅😅😅👌good idea

So did you just put your screw through the metal eyelet?
You betcha 👍
so does the eyelet have threads.
Wondering the same. I made my first kydex sheath Friday and it looks identical except I never thought of the belt loop straps so I used para cord
@@Simplelittlelife I didn't see a parts list for the screws to attach the loops. Are the Sex bolts?
