i love the jazz dancers because of their free, non-traditional expression and charsima and i love as well the irish dancers with their perfect execution, form, and their culture is way beautiful. There shouldnt be one style greater than the other :)
At first when my parents told me we were going to see Riverdance, It seemed so stupid but after seeing it, I'm so glad I went. They are all so talented and incredible dancers! Such an amazing show and experience!
OMG I love to tap dance and to see those guys tap dance puts me to shame! ahhahaha But Trading Taps was one of my favorite numbers when I saw the show back in '01 when it was on Broadway. I love the fusion of tap and irish step. It shows how two cultures can become one.
redrover713 you said that is astounding to dance straight...but this is the beauty...to show everyone that you can dance for 10 minutes straight...and it isn't easy....but is spectacoulos
Wow someone actually brought up the N word.....destroying Irish dance? Really? That was a show of how cultures can be so similar yet unique and beautiful in their own way. Hatred should never exist in art.....nor anywhere else
daaaamn! dont their feet ever get tired even my eyes were by just watchin them.. amazing doh really incredible black people have rhythm gotta give it to them
omggg, i think ive probably commented on this video about like 2 times already BUT ITS SOO GOOD. ^____^ its seriously one of my favorite videos ever, being an irish dancer and now im learning a little bit of tap too, it makes me all excited, LOL xD
The beat seems to be a bit faster than the 1995 performance, but there were some very welcome additions found here. Great to see a both sides equal in number.
If you have the full show, could you upload it ? If I'm not mistaken, the lead in this version of the show, is Brendan DeGallai and he is one of my favorites. I've been trying to get the full show with him. The other one that I'd love to get, is Pat Roddy.
this version can't touch my God son TARIK WINSTON HE IS ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS THE BEST PERFECTION TIMING PERFECT BODY FORMATION AMAZING SEE HIM BLACK BLUE BROADWAY SCENE VAUDEVILLE TAPING WITH MASTERS AMEN
Well, I have this to say about American tap dancing, it's not as loud and as strong and as pretty as Irish Dance. :( I still like it though, it's classy, snazzy, even savvy. :3
Now this is what I call a beautiful performance. River and Tap. Performed by two different cultures and two different races. Just flawless!
Reborn 777 yes, you are right.
race war
@@Gringle_ one ancient and one modern
I love this part of the show and for me this is the best of “The Dance” so far … amazing skills from all the dancers, thank you. :)

Really this dance is the reason I started irish step dancing! I love it so much! It helped me find one of my biggest joys!
Wow amazing how a good show can become an amazing show with just a little bit of color.

LOVE WALTER FREEMAN!! so amazing.
They retooled this number...two male dancers and a female dancer and two female musicians a sax player and violinist both female.
Wow someone actually brought up the N word.....destroying Irish dance? Really? That was a show of how cultures can be so similar yet unique and beautiful in their own way. Hatred should never exist in art.....nor anywhere else

Amazing and with amazing meaning(stupid people never go out)!
Two goal with one shoot!

I think American Broadway tap is clean, loud, and pretty to look at.
The beat seems to be a bit faster than the 1995 performance, but there were some very welcome additions found here. Great to see a both sides equal in number.
This is the only way to settle differences

@NHfiddle
Lol, true. Ivers kind has the Irish fiddle world in the palm of her hand, heheh.
I loved it
omg this is amazzingg!!!
I saw this when I was 18 with a boyfriend and thought at first why in the world am I going to see this but found that I absolutly LOVED it.
Epic!
Fiddle player is Mairin Fahy from Ballinakill county Galway.
hahaha that was fun :)
My first thought was this is how you should solve all wars. My second one was...damn your ankles dudes
any chance you got the song right before this. it's my favorite part of the show...
Well, I have this to say about American tap dancing, it's not as loud and as strong and as pretty as Irish Dance. :( I still like it though, it's classy, snazzy, even savvy. :3
What year is this?? I only remember the one with the 2 guys and the woman with the blue fiddle
Amazing feat of footwork, amazing, amazing. Have a question though, do we (white people) not all wanna be black ? Just kidding (don't flame me please)
I never saw this version before.
I would still love to know who the fiddle player is, and did she take over for Eileen Ivers?
the guys w/ the striped shirts are irishdancers
which show is this? Geneva?
Does anyone know where i can get this music without the taps on it?
What happened to Eileen Ivers on lead fiddle. This girl is just as good, but Eileen is still the queen of the Irish fiddle, bar none.
I still want to know who is playing fiddle. Does anyone know?
mdr à 4:15 XD
I still want to know this girl's name who took Eileen Iver's place.
@txia28
Nope, soprano sax =]
Is that an alto sax?
soprano sax
