What a great video, I'm a big fan of the PLA Navy! A couple of things I should mention; PLA Navy ships are always immaculately clean so I doubt that the crew accomodation compartment had any special cleaning prior to filming. As for the guys in the galley, commercial restaurants love qualified military cooks simply because they are highly trained to be very flexible in feeding large numbers of people with excellent meals! Your videos on the PLA Navy are outstanding and I just want to say thank you for your equally outstanding presentation.

This is the tradition for Chinese army: lean how to keep yourself clean, keep your surrounding clean and practice all those good habit before you are trained to do anything else. Chinese soldiers are extremely disciplined. For example, you have to finish your meal in a given time without wasting any food.

    • @sw36jl

@@blejl0 Chinese navy aside, I can vouch this is a really helpful lifestyle habit taught in China and in general in many parts (should be) of the world. haha...Gordon Ramsay will not be yelling at those qualified and highly trained cooks😂 I recall 10+ years ago, a CCTV documentary was discussing if the food menu should be "westernized" as western dishes can be prepped and easily cooked (ie Oven baked/ fryer), where as chinese cooking requires preparation and labour intensive cooking - have to stand over the Wok and keep stirring requiring lots of skills, it was a bit biased at the time, but glad to see in the end they chose traditional chinese cuisine to keep the sailors morale high.

The "kitchen" /Galley for us in the USN, the food looked REALLY Good, and probably needs to be re-filled Quite often.😋 A little surprised about the "sleeping quarters" /Berthing Areas, as they are only two (2) high...compared to USN ships that have Three (3) [cramping] high!!

And new 5th gen fighter will be light enough to operate from ski-jump i guess. I think it is better if PLAN use Shandong and Liaoning for Air Superiority with only 5th gen fighters and support aircraft when they are available instead of mixing them with J-15.

No, it would reduce Aircraft carrying capacity. as Catapult equipment is Large and it would eat up hanggar space
The point of catapult is to launch aircraft with greater / maximum weapon it can carry
but whats the point if the carrier itself is carrying fewer aircraft
I read that 2nd QE class Carrier, the Prince of Wales - is planned to be outfitted woth CATOBAR.
but the cost was almost tripled, and the carrying capacity was reduced.
